Lovely people that run this, they was so kind couldn't do enough for us .

beautiful room with everything you could need provided
squeaky floor board in bedroom but it was more us not wanting to disturb others than disturb us

The size, cleanliness, hospitality tray and style of the en suite room plus the breakfast choice and quality of presentation was excellent. Beautiful room, comfy bed and excellent selection of toiletries too.
Sidney Grove guest house and hosts were excellent. There was nothing to dislike. The only thing I would say is, if you aren't good on your feet I could see the stairs to the attic room being an issue. It wasn't for us though.

Excellent cosy BnB, lovely owners who really take care of guests. Nice little touches made a really comfortable experience.

We did love absolutely everything about this B&B! Avril and Angus are very kind people, the house is beautiful, the room so spacious and there's everything you need - and even more e.g. opportunities for fresh coffee and tea in the room, fresh fruits, cookies... The breakfast was incredibly good, the bread, fruits, the eggs, croissants, fresh orange juice - we couldn't wish for more and will definitely come back when we're in Newcastle again.
Last but not least: It's just a 20 minute walk to the city center - or a few bus stops, so it's situated in a pretty good area for a city trip!

Breakfast was fabulous,bursting with flavour,quality ingredients,excellent!
Bit of a long walk to the toon but a taxi or bus sorts that out…

I had a wonderful stay! The hosts, Avril and Angus, were friendly and welcoming and the room spacious, clean and very well equipped. The breakfast was something else - so much to choose from both hot and cold - the full English kept me going all day! Thank you - I'll definitely be back.
This isn't a dislike - just a minor point - the signal for BBC iplayer was poor however this may have been the BBC's fault and not the property's. It did not detract from my enjoyment.

Thank you so much for a wonderful overnight stay. Avril and Angus were so attentive, the room was absolutely beautiful and the attention to detail was perfect. We loved the choice of shampoos and shower gels and the vast array of snacks and drinks . The bed and pillows were so comfortable too meaning we had a great nights sleep and the amazing breakfast set us on our way for the day for my daughter's graduation day . Just perfect !!

The room was gorgeous, homely, and spotless.. everything you could possibly need was there in the room for you.. if I went again I wouldn't need to pack half the stuff I did!.. The breakfast on the morning was fantastic and so much to choose from! Avril was very welcoming and we felt at ease as soon as we got there. The location is really good as well, not far from the city centre or arena.. I couldn't recommend this place enough 😊
There is nothing we didn't like, the only thing I could say would be for there to be a mirror in a place where you can get ready.. but that's not going to bother everyone!.

An absolutely beautiful place to stay. The room we had was perfect with so much attention to detail. One of the most comfortable beds I've ever sleep in.
Breakfast was gorgeous, so much food. Absolutely delicious. Avril and Angus are the perfect hosts.

We stayed in the loft room which was a lovely big size, beautifully decorated with every additional extra you could think of (tea/coffee/hot chocolate/water, chocolates/biscuits/fruit, hairdryer, iron & ironing board, TV including Amazon Prime & Netflix, Cd player & CDs, hot water bottles!) The bathroom was also immaculate with a great shower & lots of shampoos/ shower gels/conditioners (not the tiny bottles you get in hotels) We had a superb breakfast with lots of choice on offer - we had scrambled eggs with smoked salmon & avocado, yoghurt & granola, toast, fruit juice & tea/coffee (English Breakfast was on offer also)
We were on a nice quite street but it was only a 15 min walk to St James's Park on the edge of the city centre, Parking is on the street but we were able to park right outside the B&B
There was nothing we could fault.

we loved everything about our stay. The very spacious, beautifully decorated bedroom and house, comfy bed and facilities. There were superb coffee and tea making facilities in the room, and a lovely basket of fruit and biscuits. The shower toiletries were high-end, and eco friendly and everything was spotlessly clean.
The breakfast was a real treat, plentiful, excellent quality and in a lovely setting!
Our hosts were kind, friendly and we will most definitely be back.
that we could only stay one night!

If you are looking to visit your daughter or son at University this is the perfect bolt hole. Where do I start.
Avril and Angus were the perfect hosts. The room was light and airy and decorated to a high standard.
There were touches more akin to a high end boutique hotel. I will not mention and let you discover for yourself.
The breakfast was a treat and nothing was too much trouble. All needs were catered for (vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, fruitarian and carnivore).
I realise by posting this I’m shooting myself in the foot. It’s the sort of place you don’t want anybody to know about. You want it all to yourself.
Well, after the pandemic they deserve nothing but success and 100% occupancy rate year round.
We already know visits to Newcastle will need to planned well in advance. Make sure you do the same to avoid disappointment.

Comfortable, spacious room in quiet part of town only a short hop into the town centre. Hosts were very welcoming and friendly and you won’t find a better breakfast anywhere. Can’t recommend it highly enough

Excellent friendly hosts, wonderfully presented. Extra unexpected items in the room that made the stay even better. All round great b&b, host went above and beyond to please the customer with various extra things to make stay memorable. Loved the fact that it was spacious loft room with its own bathroom. Definitely highly recommend to experience this b&b.

Every detail thought about throughout. Amazing quality and service!
Breakfast was phenomenal and really made for a great start to the day
Stylish decorated bedroom with every creature comfort possible.
The large TV with Netflix, Amazon and Disney accounts already signed in to enjoy makes Sidney Grove a home away from home!
Parking can be tricky as busy street. Slightly creaky floorboards but everything else amazing!

Everything was just perfect. The room had so much more than what you normally expect from a B&B. We loved all the plants, the decor, the very high quality of fittings, the nice touches, the food and drink, iron, etc. Even a cafetiere and cafetiere coffee and a bowl of fruit, a box of masks, choice of room fragrance, I can't name them all! Lovely breakfast too.

There is not enough space or time to write how amazing this place is or how welcoming Avril & Angus make you feel. They recommended a great place to eat just around the corner when we arrived late.
The room was stunning (stunning doesn't suffice as a word though really). Breakfast outstanding, the spread laid out before us amazing.
I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. If I ever travel north to Scotland again I will aim to stay here on the way up AND the way back.

The hosts were really friendly and thoughtful, the breakfast was the best I’ve ever had in a B&B, nothing was too much trouble. Parking on the street outside turned out to be really easy! The taxi from the centre of town (we went to see a show) was under £5, so not being in the centre of town didn’t make much difference.

Amazing B&B. Really friendly and helpful hosts with Avril and Angus. The room was extremely characterful and lovely with loads of charm. The complimentary snacks, tea and coffee in the room were truly exceptional - better than anything I've been offered anywhere else anywhere. The breakfast was equally amazing. Extremely generous cooked fare and lovely yoghurts, fresh bread, juice, jams, and proper adult cereals to boot. Avril and Angus have done an amazing job and wish we could have stayed with them for longer!

Angus is a very friendly and helpful person.
Breakfast was good
Bed very comfortable
Not being able to lock your bedroom door from the outside. Major concern for me. Landlady states they’ve never had a problem. No interest in changing it at all.
Couldn’t see why no lock might be a problem for some.

Beautifully converted attic room - spacious, bright and tastefully decorated. Generous tea, coffee, biscuits, chocolates and fruit provided in our room. Delicious breakfasts with owner going the extra mile to provide high quality and varied dishes. All very eco-friendly and relaxing.
There was nothing we didn’t like!
