Great location in the heart of Villa de Leyva yet tranquil and quiet place. Room was spacious and good temperature, neither hot nor cold. Bathroom floor appeared to be heated! Hot water worked well.
Parking was limited and a little difficult to get in and out of.

This is my third time staying and love it every time. I have referred other family members to stay at this beautiful home.
Booking.com did not send both of my reservations, but Casa del Carmen accommodated our needs

Small hotel, very communal and simple
The church is right in front. You will be getting woken up every day at 5:45 AM, 6:00 AM, 10:00 AM and 6PM by the bells. If you want to rest and have a good sleep DO NOT STAY HERE.

- Staff was nice and flexible, allowed us to leave the luggage while waiting for check-in
- Room was spatious, toilet newly renovated and clean, comfortable bed
- Positioning is hard to improve, super centric and nice
- Unfortunately there was no hair dryer available in the whole structure, and at night it can become chilly
- Breakfast was rather basic (packaged cheese, no juice, no spices or pepper)
- All things considered it ends up in the pricier end if we check price/service ratio

The breakfast fast was delicious and enough.
Love all the antiques they have on the hallways.
The floors are old and squeaky, but very clean!

great location, very clean, nice bathrooms, good breakfast

The room, location and breakfast were excellent. The staff is very kind and the facilities are very clean. We arrived before the check in hour and the room was already ready which was awesome.
The only issue was that our room was in front of the church and the bells ring very early in the morning.

The location, right across from an important church and museum, was amazing. The room, on a wonderful courtyard, was large and the staff were extremely friendly.
Nothing

We had a great time during our short stay. Olga was amazing at check in, during the process of parking and breakfast
Great job thank you
Everything was great. The only thing missing were the bath towels in one of our bedrooms.
As soon as we communicated to the staff, they promptly delivered out towels. Thank you

I enjoyed my stay at Casa Del Carmen. Once you are in the building, the atmosphere is full of charm and feels like home. My room was spacious, clean, and inviting. The bathroom was modern and clean with hot water in the shower and good water pressure. The breakfast was delicious and sufficient to start the day. The staff was very kind and attentive to my needs. I would certainly recommend this hotel.
Not a dislike but just an observation to consider. I found it a bit odd that I had to confirm my reservation at the door before being allowed in the building. It took a couple of minutes to work that out. It was probably for security reasons but I have never experience that before so I just wasn't prepared for that. Once inside, I felt very welcomed.

Truly a bargain for convenience and features. Comfortable room, hearty breakfast, convivial host, lovely patio space, excellent coffee shop next door and a sweet perro named “Tita”.
Erratic morning church bells. Parking takes over that “lovely patio space” on busy days.

The place was what we were looking for. Comfortable, a suitable enviroment and an amazing location. The architecture of the house is exellent.

The woman was so kind.. like a mom.. loved her. I got a private room for the price of a dorm shower super clean and big bed!
9.2 / 10.0
Nice room with very comfortable bed. The separate bathroom was clean with really hot water with good pressure. The social areas were very pleasant with lovely places to sit inside and out. There's a well equipped kitchen, but it was in need of a good clean. Weekends are the busy time and I was the only one there, maybe the whole place is cleaned for the weekend
It's not easy to find as it does not come up on Google maps, only Hostal del Carmen which is another enterprise. Casa del Carmen is next to the Museo del Carmen, where one has to go to gain entrance, if there is noone at the Casa, which is what happened to me. No cleaning was done during the three nights I stayed and common areas were very dusty
