Fantastic Lakeside Penthouse Apartment With Balcony
Este apartamento de una habitación ha sido completamente renovado para 2015. Ocupa una ubicación fantástica con vistas al parque y al lago Boating. A solo unos minutos a pie encontrará el zoológico de Newquay, canchas de tenis, Crazy Golf, un centro de ocio y un ferrocarril en miniatura. En el parque hay un salón de té que se dirige hacia el zoológico y frente al apartamento hay una cafetería popular que se convierte en un restaurante muy concurrido por la noche. Solo unos minutos más a pie y estará en el centro de Newquay, donde podrá explorar una o las 5 hermosas playas con muchas actividades, incluidas escuelas de surf. Dirígete a Lusty Glaze para probar el jet ski, el rappel y muchos más, o camina hasta Newquay Harbour y reserva un viaje de safari en el mar donde podrás ver a los delfines. Flat is fab, great location and just as the description. Couple of cleanliness things gave me the ick (prob down to who services the flat and not the owner). Wished I’d tried to negotiate on price as realised after that people do and was abit over my budget. Even with that we would stay again

Overall I can recommend this apartment in Newquay.
The location of the apartment is within a small and quiet street. You can walk within 15 mins to the town centre/ beach/ supermarket (Aldi or Lidl).
The apartment is spacious, has a fully eqipped kitchen, a private parking spot, a nice view from the living room and a separate bed room. The bathroom is quite small, but it is ok if you have a slim figure.
Things that could be improved: The adress of the apartment is not shown correctly in Google Maps. It will direct you to another building in the same street. The owners of that building told us that we were not the first ones which thought that the apartment is located in their building although in realtiy it is located in a different building of the same street.
In addition to that we had an issue to lock the main door. Surprisingly you had to lift the door handle before you can lock the door. Although that seems to be normal for Cornwall/England, it was totally unexpected for us (and I believe for others from outside England as well). Unfortunately it was not mentioned by the owners and it took us 15 min to figure out the locking mechanism of the door.
However, those things are only minor issues as the overall apartment can really be recommened and is rather cheap compared to other apartments in that area.

Overall the apartment was fabulous although the bathroom was a little small. Very well equipped, especially in the kitchen. The water pressure was brilliant which was great when showering. The only thing lacking in the bathroom was toilet roll, less than one. T
roll provided. There was everything we could want for our stay. The bed is a memory foam mattress which was perfect for a good nights sleep. The views from the balcony onto the boating lake was great. Newquay town centre and other local attractions are all walkable but thwre is also a bus stop close by. Was a great base for visiting the areas surrounding Newquay.
The only let down was the cleanliness in the kitchen area. It was as though it had been missed as crumbs were on the work surfaces and the handles ofvthe units, in particular the fridge were dirty. Easily resolved by some antibac wipes.
Everything else was spotlessly clean.
Lovely apartment and would definitely choose to stay there again.

We had a good stay at Trenance Court. I would perhaps recommend to friends and family in the warmer months but the heating was too inconsistent for the cooler months. Here are the main points:
Pros:
- Friendly and bright aesthetic, very much a seaside theme
- Clean property
- Lovely private feeling
- Owners just a phone call away
- Fully equipped working kitchen
- Beautiful lake just across the road with a cafe and pedal boats for hire
- Nice short walk into Newquay proper
- Dedicated parking spot just outside
Cons:
- Listing amenities mention a dryer- there is a washing machine and a drying rack, to be clear.
- Heated by several electric heaters located around the flat. One of them (closest to the door) emitted a faint burning smell when active so we avoided using it. Heating is inconsistent and either becomes extremely muggy or ice cold. We would wake up at least once a night to adjust the heating.
- Towels looked crisp and clean but we both noticed they gave off a very strong damp smell- it might be time to purchase new towels for the property.
- The boiler, though it seems to work just fine, appears to supply just about enough hot water for one good shower per 1.5 hours. It posed quite the difficulty when we both wanted a nice hot shower after an ice cold sleep.
On the whole, I would characterise it as a good stay and a good base to explore Newquay.

The property was very clean and comfortable with a balcony overlooking a boating lake and beautiful surroundings. The decor was lovely and we had everything we needed for a very pleasant stay.

We had a good stay at the apartment. There was enough space for all of us. But it was dusty and the door was covered in cobwebs when we arrived.
It's very nice to have a washing machine but we missed a clothesline.

The apartment had everything we need for a week’s stay. It was clean and well decorated and came with soft fluffy towels. Prime location next to a quiet lake. Nice restaurant next to the lake. Another nice restaurant near the garden next to the lake. 30 minutes walk to Tolcarne Beach and Great Western Beach. Sofa bed was a little hard and the apartment was on the second level and quite a walk from the carpark. It was not a problem for our young family but something to note as this may not suitable for everyone.

This apartment is nice and well equipped. The exterior of the complex is a little shabby, but it is very well maintained inside.
The location is excellent - very convenient for getting away from Newquay to explore the rest of the county, whilst still being close enough to walk in to the town (albeit with a significant hill). Having the park directly opposite the property was lovely.

Very good inside but three flights of steps to get to the apartment.
Outdoor sensor light did not work. This had not been fixed from previous comments.
Overall a nice place to stay.

This apartment was wonderful! Overlooking the boating lake in Newquay. Very well appointed with the exception of toilet paper. I had to duck out to buy some as soon as I arrived. There are quite a few stairs to access the apartment, but once you are there, it is fantastic.

Second stay at this lovely apartment which was very clean and well equipped. Far enough outside of Newquay to be away from the crowds but close enough to walk should you not want to take the car.
Minor problem when we 1st arrived but after a phone call to Sharon this was swiftly sorted. Thank you for a lovely stay 😊

The apartment was spotless and smelt very clean. It had everything you needed and a beautiful view from the balcony. There wasn't as many steps as I thought there would be leading up the apartment I was expecting hundreds there was only 2 flights it's wasn't bad at all. Would definitely recommend and would love to book again.

The only thing we didn’t like was checking in at 3pm we missed a day there but everything else was amazing we can’t wait to return again in a few year.

My review of Lakeside Apartments
The property is in a great location but unfortunately there were a few issues that let it down.
1. Bath was dirty, it scum marks and pubic heir left in the bottom of it.
2. We were unable to have a bath due the bath plug not working. It needs repairing / replacing.
3. Toilet seat loose.
4. Toilet roll holder is loose.
5. Temperature of the hot water is to high, it needs turning down. It can be dangerous if you are elderly and a child using the shower / sink / kitchen sink.
6. Hob is very slow heating pans up and needs replacing. I had to download the instructions to work out how to use it, because the marking around the knobs had worn away.
7. The frying pan need replacing due to being warped and not seating on the hob properly. I t is dangerous to use.
8. Outside light on the balcony does not work.
9. Its great to have an iron but it is no good without a ironing board.
10. There is no where to put the dishes after you have washed them up due to not having a dish drainer.
11. There a chipped plates and cups that need replacing.
12. Dust on the cabinets in the lounge and table legs dusty.
13. Table top dirty.
14. Thick dust under the sofa's.
15. Under the bed was dirty, bed probably has not been moved in years.
16. Under the toilet bowl had dried urine down the side of it.
17. Toilet brush had not been cleaned properly there was poo on the brush and it does need replacing.
18. Shower rail rusty needs replacing.
19. Shower rail hooks dirty need replacing.
20. Shower curtain was mouldy.
21. Unable to use on of the seats on the balcony due it being broken.

Lovely place to stay. Area beautiful and fab park opposite flat own parking space which is a big bonus . Everything you need and more for facilities. Just a bit negative about the overall cleanliness. Had to move a few things to accommodate our granddaughter and it was really dirty behind things. But I soon cleaned it

Great Property
Apartment was clean and very comfortable with a lovely view over the boating lake. Great location for walking just about anywhere in Newquay. For us it was very central for family that we have down here. I’m sure we will be back
