Espléndida y decorada con buen gusto en un colorido estilo morisco Casita Carmela es una casa adosada privada perfectamente situada en el corazón de la hermosa e histórica villa de Mijas con magníficas vistas del océano Mediterráneo. Está a poca distancia a pie de la gran cantidad de restaurantes y bares dentro del Pueblo, lo que lo convierte en el lugar ideal para cualquiera que prefiera no alquilar un automóvil.
Situado en un camino muy tranquilo y pacífico, al entrar en la propiedad se sorprenderá por las magníficas vistas desde el amplio y hermoso patio que tiene un amplio espacio soleado y sombreado para relajarse y cenar al aire libre. (La barbacoa también se suministra). En temporada, incluso puedes elegir tus propios limones e higos.
Hay una bañera privada caliente (o fría si se prefiere) con una ducha exterior para relajarse después de un día de explorar el pueblo o deambular por los numerosos senderos de montaña claramente identificados.

Casita Carmela is the perfect find.
The owners Gordon and Adrienne have put a lot of thought and love into this unique villa.
All the areas are beautifully decorated to the highest standard along with the white goods and furnishings.
The location is fantastic 5 minutes walk into the town which has many amazing restaurants and plenty of shops sellng handmade jewellery and art.
The outside space is a real haven and you will find yourself spending most of your time here. It is very spacious and the hottub is a welcoming bonus. The views from this terrace are amazing.
We enjoyed our stay so much that we would have liked to return next year. Unfortunately

This is the 4th time staying at this property and it is as charming as ever. A really homely feel has been created by the owners and the location is excellent; within easy walking distance from the pueblo. Cleanliness first rate. Hot tub wonderful. Have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this property for a relaxing get away.

Casita Carmela lived up to our expectations, it’s beautiful. Peaceful location but a 5 minute walk to some lovely restaurants & bars. The casita itself was perfect, very tasteful decor with everything you need for your stay. Hosts were very welcoming & on hand if you needed them. The outdoor space was bigger than we expected with the most amazing views! Nice hot tub and outdoor shower to cool off in too. This was our first time in Mijas Pueblo but definitely won’t be our last! It’s a lovely friendly village

The property is about 25 minutes by car from Malaga airport. The drive is fine but once in Mijas the streets are incredibly narrow, there is a complex one way system, and parking close to the property (or anywhere!) is a bit of a lottery. When I do this again I will get a transfer to and from the airport and use bus and train to explore the area. Gordon and Adrienne rendezvoused with us and guided us to a point near the Casita where we could unload the car. They are excellent hosts and gave us a thorough brief on the property. The property is wonderful; beautifully appointed, plenty of room for a couple and a breathtaking view. Everything you need is there, and the hosts are readily available if you need support. The hot tub is a wonderful extra that makes this property a cut above anything else out there. Mijas Pueblo is gorgeous; wonderful restaurants and quaint streets with amazing views. We caught a bus in the village square and went to fuengerola, where a 1 minute walk takes you to the train station for a ride into Malaga. This is well worth doing. Malaga is beautiful and the total cost of that trip per person was less than €5 per head! You really do NOT need a car. The neighbour Lynne is a long term Brit resident and is lovely; full of good advice and not in the least obtrusive. All in all the whole setup here is perfect. Don’t go though; I want it to be available for us next time😜

First, I don't think you'll find a better host. Wow! Gordon was fantastic with communication, checking in during the week as well to make sure we were happy. Very impressed.
We also LOVED Mijas Pueblo where this unit is. Absolutely beautiful and exactly what we were looking for. We rented a car and drove to Marbella, Granada, Ronda, Caminito del Ray, and other spots. It was ideal for us.
We also took full advantage of the hot tub since the evenings were much cooler in April. The view is fantastic from the hot tub.
We were able to find parking about 5 minutes from the property each day, which was not a problem at all. It was free street parking.
We noticed before booking that this property had so many 5 star reviews and we understand why. We loved it! Thanks Gordon and Adriana!

Everything about this holiday was exceptional, great communication with owners, nothing was to much trouble,
The casa is a nice 10 minute stroll from the centre of Mijas, 100 yards or so up the street towards nino’s is a little shop next to the hardware store, (not shown on google maps)
Nino’s is great little tapas/ coffee in the morning great prices,
The casa itself is outstanding everything you need, the shower is amazing, lovely decor and a pleasant patio to while the hours away.
Cheap bus ride into feungola €1.55 one way. Little bus (222) from nino’s, or a more regular one from the town hall terminus. Malaga is only 1.5 hrs on the bus €2.40 yes that’s correct €2.40

Second time staying in this beautiful villa, uncertain if visiting for a second time would be any less amazing as the first time but couldn't be more wrong. The villa inside and out is a piece of heaven, the view is fabulous and the 5 minute stroll into the centre of Mijas Pueblo is lovely. You will not go wrong booking this villa and 30 minutes in a taxi from the airport is great. I fly from East Midlands and my travel time door to door is about 7 hours even living an hour away from the airport. Great place to visit and amazing place to stay, there is no possible way you will not enjoy yourself. Reluctant in posting this review as it is letting more and more people know how good this place is as we will be returning next year and i am sure for many years to come. Book up now as its getting full guys!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful casita. Unfortunately it was only available for 5 nights and we could easily have stayed longer.
The property is perfect in every way and the terrace and hot tub were the icing on the cake. The traditional furnishings and beautiful art work made it feel so very homely. We really relaxed during our stay and spent many hours just looking at the spectacular views.
The booking process was easy and the hosts responded very quickly to any queries that we may have had.
We will definitely return to this property and beautiful Mijas, we loved it! Thank you Gordon and Adrienne

Situated in a quiet residential area of Mijas Pueblo with a short walk to shops and restaurants. Perfect and manageable property size for 2 and good space on the Patio in case of visitors. A little chilly when we were there but the aircon heaters were adequate and the bathroom area has underfloor heating. so evenings/nights were cosy. No immediate parking but free areas nearby which we found ok but may be more difficult in high season. All in all a great find

The casita in the quaint village of Mijas, one of the famed White Villages of Andulucia, is absolutely perfect in every way. For starters, the view is marvelous-- look out on the Mediterranean Sea from your mountainside terrace, hear the church bells and braying donkeys and enjoy the sunrise while taking a dip in the hot tub. The house is a 1 br/1ba home decorated in a charming boho Moroccan style that is so romantic without being fussy. The casita comes with fully equipped everything-- kitchen, amazingly huge bath, hot tub, countless cable channels, even spa robes. Hosts Adrianne and Gordon are so accommodating yet give you total privacy. They are charming hosts indeed. While Mijas is a small village, be aware that tourists do invade the town center at midday. You can still snag an outside table for your tapas and wine, however, as by midafternoon they're long gone. And the house is a ten minute walk from the center so you always have your solitude at the casita. This home is a true gem! Thank you for letting us stay at your home.

This casita is beautiful with stunning views amazing hosts and everything you need for a stay in Mijas Pueblo. The weather was pretty poor during our December stay and my husband was ill so we spent quite abit of time in the casita but was very warm and comfortable. The hosts were at the end of the phone when we had a medical emergency and ended up at A And E and the lovely Lynn next door literally held my hand what a blessing. It isnt directly in the heart of village but once you get to know your bearings it isnt far from the hub and there is a lovely authentic spanish bar and little grocers and baker's nearby. The hot tub was great too. The hosts organised transfers to Malaga for us at the end of our trip which was a great help though it is possible to travel here by public transport (train from airport then bus or taxi to village - though abit of a walk to the main bus stop with cases). Englisg tv too. We wouldnt hesitate to recommend this accommodation or to stay here again when we come to Mijas Pueblo

Our hosts Gordon & Adrienne were very helpful meeting us at the outskirts of Mijas Pueblo & taking us to the property & advising parking options & sorting out an initial internet access issue. This property is in an excellent position and is perfectly equipped for a couple. A lovely place which we would dearly love to return to in the near future.

Outstanding property, the interior is typically Spanish with every mod con available. Patio with outstanding views. Five minutes stroll to the center of Mijas Pueblo with restaurants and bars aplenty. Would recommend this property to anyone. Thanks to Gordon and Adrienne for all the information, before and during our stay at their casita.

Mijas is a great place and the Casita Carmela is the perfect place to stay. Has all the facilities plus hot tub. Kitchen well kitted out, bedroom has comfortable bed , shower room is great. Outside patio has the most amazing views. Parking is a bit of Russian roulette but you can always find space.

The Casita is the perfect stay for any couple who want a relaxing holiday yet still within 5 minutes walk to the centre of the pueblo.
Everything you need is catered for and topped of by the hot tub which was a fantastic way to relax after a day exploring the pueblo and beyond.

This is an excellent well appointed property in a quiet residential area. The booking process is simple and a taxi from and back to Malaga airport worked well. This was our first visit to Mijas but won't be our last. Mijas is full of bars and restaurants with very friendly staff

Perfection
Couldn’t recommend this property more. Perfectly clean, with everything we needed for a long weekend stay. The hot tub was fantastic for the cooler nights and no photo can do the view from the balcony justice. The underfloor heating in the bathroom and dressing room was amazing too.
The location is perfect, close to free parking (less than a 5 minute walk away) and just a 10 minute walk into the town square and so peaceful.
If only we hadn’t brought the Scottish weather with us on our trip! We’ll definitely be back x

Amazing romantic location
Myself and my husband had a fabulous stay at Casita Carmela for our wedding anniversary. Just perfect for a romantic get away. The casita is beautiful and Mijas Pueblo is magical. Will definitely return. Gordon and Adrienne were the perfect hosts.

A fabulous apartment with everything you could need, fantastic views of the coast and village and only a 5 minute walk into Mijas. We were greeted on arrival with a friendly welcome, good suggestions for eating out and tips about getting around the local area. Sitting on the apartments magnificent terrace, with hot tub, looking at the view was our highlight.

We went to stay in this little Villa on the 10th August for a week we couldn't fault it for anything the location was perfect short walk to shops and restaurants.Maite lifted us at the airport she was very helpful showing us the supermarket and best restaurants to eat in would definitetly return to Mijas and to this little Villa as the views from the Villa are amazing .

A Gem of a place!
We chose Mijas Pueblo as part of our honeymoon. We wanted peace and quiet but close to restaurants & bars. Plus, we definitely wanted views and a place with some luxury. Well we certainly had that staying here.
The views are exceptional from the patio and the the decor inside was luxurious. We felt spoilt here.
We were a stones throw from the centre but far enough for tranquility.
In some ways I do not want the world to know about this place as I want to be able to book again and again but the owners have done a grand job of making our stay as best as anyone could. So it’s only fair to tell everyone! We will be booking for next year already tried this October but it’s booked ….. no surprise!
If there is one place you should book in Mijas Pueblo then it’s certainly Casita Carmela. We will be back!

Han sido unos días estupendos en Casita Carmela. Situada en pleno centro de Mijas, con todo cerca y en una zona tranquila. Las vistas, la terraza y las comodidades de la casa, una maravilla. Hemos disfrutado mucho y estado muy a gusto. Todo han sido facilidades por parte de los propietarios y de Maite, que nos recibió y cuidó estupendamente desde el primer momento.

Wow!
This unit was even more impressive than what you can glean from the VRBO site. Mijas is an incredible place with very friendly residents. Restaurants and watering holes show interesting variety, great food and even better prices. We golfed; we rented a motorcycle for a day and we walked the town. We also visited local Mercados and did some of our own cooking. The rental unit has everything you could want and has a great floor plan. Fantastic bed and shower. Large bathroom and great kitchen. Gordon and Adrienne have a long term resident neighbor which made us feel very secure whenever we left for the day. We came from Canada aiming to spend a large part of our Spanish holiday in this rental unit. We couldn't be happier!

Excellent Casita
This small house is totally self sufficient. There are no surprises. The pictures are accurate. It is cosy and inviting. The terrace is perfect for afternoon lounging or dining al fresco. It's location is perfect - just a few minutes from the heart of the village.
