We had a fantastic time spending time together with family. 4 siblings and their spouses/ kids were able to easily fit and enjoy meals and relaxation time. Great to have multiple suites. Game room and theater were well used!

There were 15 of us and my 15 yr old grandson is completely wheelchair bound. The evelvator was a must because of him and we had 15 people. We loved the kitchen and the grill adn teh amazing views!! They were breath taking the entire time we were there. We loved being up on the mountain and having air hockey, pool table, fuse ball. It was a huge hit. The movie room was totally loved by the kiddos. Plenty of tales and chairs to sit around for eating. Did I mention the view. There was a pool we did not have time to get to and it was too hot for the hot tub, so we didn’t touch the hot tub. We truly enjoyed our stay at Bashful Bear and the manager made sure we had our every need. She was wonderfully responsive. Thanks Stacy! Love this place. Highly recommend!

Everyone was totally impressed with the property. It was immaculate and extremely functional. There was something to do for everyone in the group. On of the best VRBO experiences we have had the opportunity to use. Highly recommended.

This was my second stay at this property. Both experiences were amazing! Property is well maintained; the kitchen is extra special when cooking for large group. Family had a wonderful time. We will definitely stay again!

Very roomy cabin. Very functional layout. Great views of the Smoky Mountains from the four balconies. Kids loved the game room. Well-stocked kitchen. Plenty of beds and bathrooms. Great property manager!

We loved the cabin itself but the hot tub did not work the whole time we were there. It would not heat and the deck under it looks like it’s slanting. Loved the elevator option but needs some TLC. Railing loose on banister between level 2 and 3. Bedroom door on 2nd level wouldn’t lock. And the door knob mechanism is backwards.
Loved the free tickets to attractions.
Kitchen fully stocked and had plenty of everything we needed.

The only complaint was that the arcade gaming system did not work, but the Air Hockey and Pool Table were a big hit. There was plenty of room throughout each floor to accommodate the number of personnel. My family enjoyed the mountain views.

We booked this cabin for a small family getaway. The cabin was in a great location and the views were amazing. We even saw a double rainbow! The cabin had everything we needed to make memories for a lifetime.

We enjoyed our stay at Bashful Bear. Large house with bedrooms and bath en suite we found a huge plus. The theatre room was perfect. The hot tub functioned well. Overall I give a 5 however the interiors could use some updating. Shag carpet. The refrigerator is missing a drawer and a shelf in the door. Conveniently located to all sorts of activities, food, shipping, entertainment.

There were several very dangerous areas in the railing where the spindles were completely gone. We had an incident with our 3 yr old granddaughter climbing the stairs and a spindle was very loose to the point she easily could have fallen through. We do have pictures showing our concerns.
Obviously, that was our greatest concern but others include; the pilot light would not stay on in the fireplaces, so they couldn't be used..
We feel. it was misrepresented in its description. It was not mentioned that there were no steps to other floors. It was the elevator or going outside to get to different floors. That info needs to be clearly stated in the description of Bashful Bear..

The property was in a good location with easy access to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. There were so many in-cabin activities we could have stayed twice as long and not been bored. A few things were not in the kitchen, but a square/rectangle baking dish, but it was otherwise well furnished.

Family Fun
Bashful Bear was a good fit for our twelve family members. With four floors, each family was assigned a specific floor which worked out well. The location of the cabin was off the beaten path, providing for a peaceful week. My only wish is that each floor would be equipped with keyed access instead of just the third floor.

We were getting married close by, and wanted someplace that could accommodate all our families, since they were traveling from other states. Views were amazing, kids had a blast with the game room, lots of room for everyone! Plenty of cookware, dishes, and the appliances were top of the line! Mentioned 24 beds but there aren’t 24 beds , 5 rooms had king beds, and the sixth one had bunk bed. Properly only 14 people could sleep in rooms, rest of the ten had to sleep in sofa beds. This is terrible.

The cabin had 4 levels of decks that invited us to enjoy the trees and view of the mountains. Bashful Bear was dim inside in the evenings. Some light fixtures had bulbs burned out and the light the working bulbs gave off was inadequate for reading in bed.
Overall, we had a wonderful family reunion and would recommend Bashful Bear.

We have a great time
I take my church members with me every year and so far this one was one of the most beautiful houses we stayed. We get short on rooms but next year we are going back on a bigger house.
