The Breakfast is great

I loved staying at the Brooklyn Lodge! It's got a real charm and character. The room I stayed in was light, spotlessly clean and huge with a lovely balcony overlooking the quiet street and treetops. The owners run the hotel and are very kind, as are all the staff in the kitchen, security and cleaning. I felt at home. There is a restaurant/cafe attached to the hotel, which is yummy and a sweet place to eat or work in. The hotel is also a short walk to Brooklyn Mall which has lots of shops, restaurants and grocery stores. I would definitely recommend and have already planned to stay again! :)

There were some issues with the power in the neighbourhood, but this was not the fault of the hotel and affected the whole block - there was still wifi and power in the restaurant and the staff did all they could to mitigate the inconvenience.

The fact that the restaurant closed at 6 PM!

It was so nice and the staff was really warm and welcoming. Breakfasts were always delicious and freshly prepared as well. It's a place I would recommend to anyone looking for good customer service there. ☺️

General power cuts happened quite often while I was there.

The food was too oily, serve the same food at breakfast. The location is quite no much noise.

The staff, if you have a problem they all interfere, disrespectful & annoying. I complained about my food, everyone had a say. To make it worse i was approached by the Chef herself. I opted to stand up & leave even without apology or rectified meal, at least from the Manager. Blackouts for hours. One sheet was stained not properly washed, i put it aside but later found it in the same order in the room.
