Cosy room, perfect location, delicious breakfast, excellent host! Highly recommended.

The room is in a beautiful house, very tastefully decorated. The breakfast was really delicious. Coumbis is a super hostess! We felt very comfortable.

Chez coumbis is nicely situated in the quieter part of Goree. The breakfast in the morning was great, exactly what we needed. Coumbis was very welcoming and made the stay pleasant.

Only a small thing: the shower head did not stay attached to the wall. Otherwise, no cons :)

The Breakfast was unbelievable good. Fresh juices, self jam and warm buns. Coumbis was always asking what she can do for you and made new juices to try out…

Chez Coumbis is an absolutely beautifully decorated oasis of calm. The breakfast was the best I have experienced in all of Senegal.

Breakfast was great and the host very kind and pleasant. The room was also nicely decorated and clean and the general atmosphere was lovely and calm.

The booking said that bathroom was private so I thought that the bathroom was in-suite, but instead we needed to cross the living room to get to the bathroom. Coming out of the shower in a towel and bumping into the hostess made me feel a little uncomfortable. The description of the room should state that the bathroom is neither located in the room nor close to the room just so that guests are not caught by surprise. Also, when we booked it said (and I just double checked and this is still the case) Deluxe room with 2 double beds and this is not the case, there is 1 double bed and 1 single bed in the room. This should also be corrected in the room description.

Lovely property that is centrally located in a beautiful and artistically designed house. The host is warm and friendly and a good cook. Breakfast was freshly made and delicious. I also had a fantastic massage from the host who is a trained masseuse! It was a wonderful stay.

I loved my entire experience.

Coumbis was extremely warm and welcoming from the beginning and willing to provide information and support on what to do at the Island. We really liked the room, it was clean and comfortable barring a small lapse of electricity in the night. The home made breakfast was great with home made cakes, bread and eggs! Would visit again.

The house is beautifully appointed, spacious and spotlessly clean. But what is extraordinary is the charming hostess, and the outstanding home made breakfast, that made this our favourite place in Senegal and anywhere in the world. She is a professional beautician and massage therapist, and I would warmly recommend the aromatherapy massage- bliss! She also speaks some English- takes classes now and soon will be proficient. Highly recommended!

Really nice space in a lovely old building. The breakfast was amazing, lots of really yummy local food. The Island is small so everything is close.

No name or number on the house and my map couldn't find the street so I had to wander a little
