Our stay was perfect and we loved the facility, location and Stefania; she was amazing. First the location is just perfect. It is just around the corner to get our breakfast, or at night sitting and relaxing after a full day of sightseeing and have a cocktail. The breakfast restaurant has a great selection if either sweet or savory and our waitress was adorable and a great smile to start your day. The room was great. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was hot and great water pressure. Plenty of room to store our cloths and hangers. We stayed 4 nights and also a self-do laundry facility just a few blocks away was a huge perk. Anyway, we heard very faint people noise outside, but for great location so worth it…and we were there on a Friday night, still slept great. We always were happy to see Stefania, her smile and willingness to help us was wonderful. lots of suggestions of what to see, or where to eat was very helpful. There is little tuktuk for transportation near the fountain as well as the tour bus picks one block way. Also Stefania called a taxi for us at checkout to get to the train station. Oh almost forgot there is a little kitchen area for tea and coffee and little cookies for a snack right there in the facility. Great extras came with our experience and we couldn’t have asked for more.

We LOVED our stay! Location is incredible, host extremely welcoming and helpful (great communication, helped us coordinate a last minute market tour), room gorgeous, bed comfortable, loved having a balcony and they provided local snacks/drinks specific to region which was unexpected and a delight. Great base to explore Ortigia by day and night (we can't get enough of this city)! Would absolutely recommend staying at Sciala Ortigia B&B and being in Ortigia for sunset aperol spritz with a sea view.

The hostess and host were helpful. The location was convenient. The rooms were large and clean and bad comfortable. Easy to get around the area by walking. Safe area.

Breakfast at the nearby café was quite limited.

A lovely room right in the centre of the old town of Ortigia. We had a friendly welcome and were provided with helpful list of restaurants and cafes. The room is comfortable with a small balcony and good shower. There were snacks and drinks provided by the hosts. The location is excellent and we really enjoyed our stay.

We loved Sciala Ortigia B & B! Perfect location to walk to absolutely everything in gorgeous Ortigia! Roberto was wonderful and super helpful answering our many questions. Lovely newly renovated, completely quiet room with a nice balcony featured a super comfortable bed, black out curtains, amazing upscale bathroom with plenty of hot water. Everything was super clean. You get a coupon for breakfast just around the corner overlooking the main plaza. We highly recommend that you stay at Sciala Ortigia B & B and we cannot wait to return.

The room was vey comfortable and in an excellent location.

We were not happy about the fact that they did not want to keep our last gages before and after check-in. We did not have a car and because we arrived in Ortigia early we had to carry our luggage with us before we could check-in. When we needed to check out we had to take our luggages to a luggage store (which did offer a 10% discount because we stayed at this place).

Nice mattress, room was very clean and very comfy. Bathroom was very nice, food shower and amenities. Small balcony to either see the streets our in our case leave the towels to dry! :)

the hospitality of the host, central location, comfortable room

Perfect central and very quiet location, just steps away from Piazza Duomo. The room was spacious with new and modern very nice design furniture. The bathroom had modern design as well and was well equipped. The owners take care that the room is desinfected at arrival and it is perfectly clean. Breakfast cannot be served currently during the pandemic but you receive a voucher for breakfast at a nearby coffee bar. There is a minibar in each room and the prices of the drinks are very modest. Coffee and tea can be prepared in a small kitchen. The owners are very kind and support you for any request you might have.

Nothing, everything was perfect!

Great quality B&B! Amazing room facing the small alleyway where the building entrance is. Good quality bed, bedding, bathroom, great overall specs, and even great small touches like the welcome sweets and free Nespresso coffee in the common kitchen. Stefania was super welcoming and very nice in suggesting great restaurants and what to visit. Exceeded our expectations in terms of overall quality, and definitely recommend! It would have been a 10 if it weren't for the final sour taste we were left with (see negatives).

The B&B is in a restricted traffic area so you can't get near it with your car. Parking is not near, you have to walk 10min with the luggage through the alleys, so pack light. Whilst the facilities were great and check-in with Stefania was super nice, we left this B&B with a sour taste. On check-out day we were very disappointed to hear that they wouldn't let us keep our luggage until our departure time at the property, which is unheard of... That was very disappointing. But more importantly, we were counting on being able to take a very important work call from the dining area that nobody uses (especially given COVID), but our ask was answered with a "we cannot help you anymore" aka "No". This created a big problem for us and a had a domino effect that literally ruined the rest of our day, as we had to skip lunch and leave Siracusa early (and in a rush) just because of this. If it weren't for this, the review would have been a 10, but for €120 a night, I would have expected a better attitude by the hosts.

Upstairs 2 flights with no elevator

E v e r y t h i n g ! Roberto & Stefania are fantastic hosts, very caring and absolutely nice. They welcomed us with drinks and shared very good tips on where to have dinner. The room was bigger than we expected, clean, fresh, modern and incredibly comfortable. Buffet breakfast was rich and delicious. We only stayed one night but we would choose this property again in the future.
