This was a good value in a nice neighborhood. Great location for us. Host was very responsive and available and everything was as advertised.

Master suite in Menlo Park
Great master suite at the rear of a lovely Menlo Park home with driveway parking. Parth was attentive to our needs and then some. This VRBO has all you need—toiletries, Keurig coffee, water and soft drinks, small fridge and microwave, large walk-in closet. Convenient to Starbucks, a gourmet market and restaurants. Know that a door separates you from what sounds like the kitchen and you will hear young children occasionally, never a problem for us as we were there to visit our daughter and grandson. While the walk to the rear is lighted by motion activated lights there are flagstone steps and about 3 steps up to the deck entrance to this unit if that’s important to you. Would definitely stay here again.

Great rental will rent again

Convenient and clean in Menlo Park
We enjoyed our stay immensely. The owner was communicative and the rental space as described. The only thing keeping us from giving 5 stars in all categories is the lack of much of a sound barrier between the unit and the owner’s residence. We don’t expect perfect silence, but the bed headboard wall has the owner’s bathroom on the other side. Suffice it to say, this is not an ideal situation. I don’t tolerate common walls well, but my wife found it more tolerable than I did. The proximity to shopping, the Stanford campus and freeways is superb. The owner went to great lengths to provide off-street parking too.

Comfy Menlo Park Stay
Parthiban is a good host and his HomeAway is a clean and comfortable. It is in a quiet residential neighborhood with on-site parking and nearby restaurants and shopping. Every morning I made coffee and sat on backyard deck, under a beautiful apple tree. I definitely would stay here again.

Enjoyed the stay. Suggest a safer walkway and repair of the wooden gate at the back where we entered the property. Could also use some lights there.

You’ll have Good Fun. We lived for a Month
I had a list of expectations for a 30 day staycation near Stanford. Got lucky with this interestingly beautiful place with a backyard and a well-kept eco-friendly garden. 1051 Oakland Ave exceeded our expectations! You’ll find hummingbirds and some prettier birds in the Apple tree right beside your room. Amazing noise! Whistles and trills, squeaks, rattles, and gurgles that suggest an orchestra of birds, and squirrels tuning up. Owner is helpful and very accommodating. Occasionally, cleaners will upkeep your room. The Clean and beautiful room is right by an Apple tree. More than ample space you need in the room with chair, and workspace with free Wifi. Full of amenities including hot shower, heater, Keurig coffee maker, free towels, shampoo, body soap, toiletries, blankets, washer/dryer, TV with hours of fun movies to watch. You won’t get bored of this place if you’re not going anywhere. Like a home. Above all, we enjoyed and had fun. University avenue is a stone’s throw away and has many restaurants there. Uber was under $15 per trip so you’re not far from shopping and great Asian/Mediterranean/western food. Definitely my Favourite place to be when I am coming to San Francisco again. Lovely.

Comfy, cozy, and with the amenities of a home
This is a great place to stay! There are comforts you’d hope to find in your own home. A private entrance, your own bathroom, a kitchen, microwave, fridge with drinks, snack basket, Keurig with pods, and fridge with drinks. You can expect the basic noise of a family living around you, but it’s not distracting or by any means intrusive. If it’s available, I’ll stay here the next time I’m in the Bay Area... and I’ll recommend it to my co-workers who travel from out of town as well. To top it off, your hosts are super-friendly!!! Book this room!

Perfect
Stayed here for a week while attending a workshop. Lovely neighborhood, many people walking or riding bikes. Close to freeway on/off which makes it very convenient. Owner was very attentive and helpful, but not intrusive. Spacious closet with ample storage for your stay. Very clean and well maintained.

Prime!
The owner, Parth, definitely went out of his way to make my time the best. Privacy in general, but quick response when I called. He actually seemed concerned at how little I asked for. He seems to be new to this. It was clean and well-maintained. In fact, it seems newly-fixed-up. Picture is accurate. I come to the area periodically to work with my physical therapist. This means I am limited in hauling suitcases around. My only hesitation on the 5th star is that the walk around the house to the rooms is not roller-bag-ready. Yes, I would recommend to family or friend. He's a good host.

A great find in Menlo Park!
This was our second stay here in a few months. It’s a perfect oasis in a quiet residential area that’s super convenient to visit our family in Redwood City. If you’ve had to deal with street parking in this area you’ll really appreciate this host providing off street parking during your stay.
This is essentially the 1st floor master bedroom and bath for the house with separate entrance off the rear deck (there are 3 short steps without railing if that’s important to you). The place is clean and welcoming. The host provides snacks, coffee pods for a Keurig & stocks a mini-fridge with water and cold drinks. A large walk in closet provided plenty of room to stash clothing, shoes and luggage for our one week stay. We did not lack for anything and if we were running low on a supply, I messaged our host via the VRBO app and response was almost immediate! Parks, Starbucks and a small local grocery along with several restaurants nearby.
Know that the owners do have small children that you may hear. Not an issue for us grandparents coming from out of state for our grandson’s 2nd birthday party!
Thanks for taking wonderful care of us Parth. We will be back!

Just what I needed.
Stayed in Menlo Park a month earlier at the Menlo Park Inn, nice but extremely
expensive and not close to where I needed to be every day. If I had known about
this I'd have stayed here. Not fancy, comfortable, clean, everything I needed
and closer to where I needed to be every day. Very private on a very nice street,
the owner made me feel welcome. I'd stay there again on my next trip.

Host very accomodating for a last minute reservation and night time arrival. Bed very comfortable and nice view to garden.

Comfortable room, close to Facebook, great hospitality.
I stayed just two nights, and was happy with my choice. Close access to the pedestrian bridge over 101 made biking into FB really easy, if you are into that. The room was set up with essentials just as any hotel would be, and the owner was responsive to my questions and try to help if he could. On site laundry was nice to have, too.

Great location, perfect host, a jewel in Menlo Park
On arriving, I thought, great neighborhood! and we didn't have to deal with parking as our host had us park in his driveway due to parking restrictions at night. Perfect! The room is ample size with lots of closet space for hanging clothes. There are even wire drawers for folding/organizing clothes. Nice bright bathroom. Everything is clean. Towels and even toiletries and hairdryer included. For us the Keurig was a bonus! Our thoughtful host even provides snacks and cold drinks in a mini fridge. This family does have small children we could hear but we found a sound machine for white noise in the closet. No issue for us (we came to CA to visit our toddler grandson). This is an attentive host but never intrusive. Location has easy access to main arteries and highways. Highly recommended and will stay here again.
