We stayed in 4 different places on our trip to Hawaii and thought this one has the best mix of the accommodations being nice and nearby amenities being plentiful and varied with access to the beach being easy and no parking issues without being a big city tourist trap like Honolulu, or having virtually nothing like Hana. We would stay here again.

Our location was perfect for our family's activities. It was easy to get to all sides of the island relatively quick. The building was well maintained. The other guests or owners were welcoming. The pool was enjoyable and beautiful at sunset. The condo itself was clean, well-stocked. In fact, we commented on how the condo had everything we needed to enjoy time at the beach. The mattresses and furniture were comfortable. While the bathrooms are not large, we didn't think that mattered because the rest of the condo was very roomy to enjoy meals together or allow for us to play board games. The courtyard view from the balcony was enjoyable while I worked and if seated in the right spot you could see the sunrise and sunset over the palm trees. The internet speed was great for video calls. The location of the condo in the building was nice as we were able to enjoy time on the balcony without hearing all the people in the courtyard. We would stay at this location again on future visits to Maui. Also, the property manager was very easy to communicate with prior to our arrival and when it came time to check out.

Very nice unit on a beautiful property. The grounds are kept up nicely. The 6 grills are cleaned daily. Beautiful pool and hot tub. Excellent communication with owner. Everything you need is supplied. The only cons we had if any were the bathrooms are tight. Not much you can do about it. Would rent again.

At first we were a little worried, as the parking lot didn’t seem upkept. However, going into the condo, it brightened our day! The balcony, the lawn area with the pool and hot tub, the yard games, bbq’s, and the beach right there were just amazing! We had plenty of room for my husband and I, and our four kids. We will definitely stay here again! The owner was so accommodating and quick to respond. Also. We loved the sand toys, my five year old was more excited about those than anything g else, haha! Great place!

Great condo location. Easy access w/ plenty of parking. The condo complex offers family-friendly amenities. Beachfront access not ideal for swimming however quiet for sunbathing or reading a book/relaxing etc. Excellent spot to picnic and view Maui sunsets! Aside from pool & hot tub, there are old school shuffleboard decks, expansive lawn for bocce ball or croquet, tennis/pickleball courts, putting green, foot wash & car wash station too. There are many convenient restaurant options nearby and further down to Makena for more upscale dining. Heads up: South Maui Fish Co. has the freshest fish in Kihea & Da Kitchen has enormous portions. Both are less than 5 minute drive. The location of the complex really is convenient. Hosts really very thoughtful of needs such as ample beach towels & accessories like coolers, umbrellas, snorkel gear, chairs etc. Very bright and open kitchen/dining/living area. Appliances included coffee maker, rice cooker & high speed blender. Sturdy pots/pans/dinnerware, etc. Linens were of good quality — thick bath towel sets! The Murphy bed encloses nicely during the day for more space and is ideal for family friends that wake earlier than others. Very thoughtful addition! The washer & dryer are fast & efficient. Drying rack available for any delicates. There are only two things that I would say as not ideal is bathrooms are on smaller side but doable and unit itself is closer to main road vs. the beach. But truly we enjoyed a Great Stay!!

We stayed with my parents, my husband and I and our kids. The suite is well laid out for being able to visit while little ones are sleeping. Communicating with Jill was easy and she was very responsive. The ground of Maui Sunset were great too. Lots of amenities for both adults and kids. Would definitely consider staying here again!

Had the most amazing stay at Chelsea's property. Super easy check-in and the condo was super nice and clean. The condo had chairs, coolers, and boogie boards that we brought to the beach daily. Beautiful location, close to great food and shops! We will definitely be back!

The cleanliness of the place was impeccable. It is centrally located, which made it incredibly convenient to explore the entire Island. Communication with the property manager was excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in Kihei

My family had a wonderdul time! The condo was clean and comfortable and in a great location. Everything you need, beaches, restaurants and stores were within 5 to 15 minutes drive. The property is beautiful, great pool and hot tub, and the room had chairs, coolers and beach toys pretty much everything you need for a trip to the beach. Our host was the best! She kept in constant contact with me and made sure we had everything we needed and it made us feel very taken care of. When we get the chance again one day I would definitely return here for my stay!

This condo was very clean and organized. We enjoyed our stay very much. The beach area is close but small so we mainly traveled to other beaches so our kids could boogie board.

My family and I were very happy with our stay!!! This condo had everything you needed, the beds were comfortable and the A/C units definitely keep it cool! All of the extra beach toys, snorkel gear and coolers were perfect and so much better than having to rent everything!! The only comment I would have is the remotes for the bedrooms ceiling fan/light would turn on/off both bedrooms. It made it fun when messing with our kids and maybe it was an operator issue (lol) but every time we used the remote to turn on/off the ceiling light in one room, it would do it in both rooms and vice versa. Not really a complaint but just a little cork! It also was really quite and couldnt hear any street noise like other reviews mentioned. We enjoyed our stay and definitely would book again!

We had a wonderful time. Place a located fairly easy to get to anywhere. Stores and restaurants near by. The whole property is very old and needs major updating but it is kept very well maintained. Grounds are pretty at night. The room is located on the 3rd right next to the stairs so we took the stairs every night. As others have mentioned, the bedrooms gave the Main Street and can be extremely loud. Woke up a few times but when the ac is on it drowns out the sounds. Overall we loved our stay. As also mentioned, the bathrooms are very small. We aren’t large people so it was fine but it did make you feel a bit closed in when showering. Condo was fully stocked and had everything we needed. We loved having the beach accessories and towels! Wonderful place!

Myself and five friends wanted to find a place to stay in Kihei that was conveniently located and also had some of the nicer, newer amenities. We ultimately chose this condo and were very glad we did - plenty of parking, access to the property’s hot tub and pool. The condo itself was perfect for our party of six because it has two bedrooms and then the living room has both a Murphy bed (that was a first!) and a large section L couch that comfortably fit even a tall person. We didn’t closely check some other amenities listed, so we were also excited to find an assortment of beach gear to use at the great beaches within a short drive. Also within a short drive are plenty of the better restaurants (check out Da Kitchen) and shops like Safeway and ABC Store mere minutes away. Jillian was in plenty of contact and made check in super easy. Would definitely seek this listing again in the future if I were to find myself in South Maui again

This condo worked perfectly for our group is six. There were sea turtles on the beach every morning and evening, along with the beautiful sunsets. Great location to easily access sites throughout Maui, would highly recommend spending a day at Makena Beach. The condo had everything you need -snorkeling gear, beach chairs and umbrellas. The only slight negative might be the road noise, but there is nothing they can do about that. We would definitely stay here again!

We needed to find a place to stay for two of our nights in Maui. I've always wanted to stay at Maui Sunset. We were not disappointed. We hung out at the pool and enjoyed the sunset at the beach both nights. We found a couple tgreat restaurants close by for dinner and Safeway is around the corner to pick up groceries for breakfast and lunch.

Accommodations suitable for family with grandkids. Beach within walking distance with interesting tidal pools. Lawn area beautifully maintained and very kid friendly. Nice, quiet and relaxing locale.

5 adults stayed in this condo and were very comfortable. Of all the Islands we have visited, The town of Kihei was so friendly and hospitable of all of them! We can’t wait to come back!!

Great place for a family vacation. Spacious condo with all the amenities. We really enjoyed our time in Maui!

Had a great time at Maui Sunset! We met lots of nice people while hanging out at the pool and the hot tub. Location of the building was fantastic for seeing the big Sea Turtles come up onto the beach at night. The staff at Maui Sunset were very helpful and always cheerful. Huge shout out to Joe, one of the evening building caretakers. He was superb and helped us get our keys when we arrived at 12:30 am in a torrential rain storm. What an awesome guy - always there to help make our experience better. The condo itself was spacious and comfortable. The building is concrete which meant there was no sound transfer between units. The beds and sofa were comfortable and the owner provides a whole sun room of beach accessories. We used the beach chairs and coolers daily. The only complaint about our group had was that the bathrooms are on the small side. One shower is a decent size but the other is tiny - but not a big issue. We’d still go back. Another thing to be aware of is that the unit is right near the busy S. Kihei Rd. If you are adverse to the sound of traffic just be aware you can hear the traffic when you’re on the deck and traffic is busy during the day. Didn’t bother us but it may be a deterrent for others. The VRBO property manager was great and checked-in on us via text throughout our visit. When we ran out of something she promptly arranged to have it replaced. All the communications before and during our stay were clear and accurate. Location of condo is good. Close to lots of amenities in Kihei. We had a car and found it to be a good location for exploring all parts of the island. In summary, we had a great vacation and would recommend this condo!

The location is great. Comfortable and had all you needed in kitchen, ice & water in frig, pool/ocean supplies and comfortable beds. Host was amazing and really helpful.

Very nice condo, spacious, well equipped and super friendly cleaning staff. Our host Jillian let us check in before our scheduled 4pm time which we really appreciated. One more thing we enjoyed was the live music playing in the common area courtyard on the the evening we were at the unit. Our only comment for improvement would be that the beds were quite uncomfortable.

Great view, our adult kids now want to buy a condo like this one. Nice easy 2min walk to the beach & you pass the pool on the way! Great friendly people all over the property.

This was a fantastic spot for our little family and friends staying in other condos at Maui Sunset. The kids could run around in the open area on soft grass, we could easily access the pool, and the beach was very close.

Nice property, lots of beach items for us to use. Kind of far from heart of Kihei but that was fine for us.

The following is just informational for future renters. The property was not mis-represented in any way and was a nice overall experience. Thank you! Pros - Can walk to beach. Great for sunsets! - Rental was clean and nice size for 5 people - Did a 7 day rental vs some only do 10 days - Lawn area is great! Barbecues convenient. - Was stocked with great condition beach gear (chairs, coolers, umbrellas and boogie boards) - Location is close to all places we wanted to go - Pool seemed nice. I did not use it, but looked like it is good for kids. Cons - Unit is at back end of building and road noise is loud. Need to use AC to block road noise in bedrooms. - Location of unit prevents any air cross flow from breezes so must use AC all the time. At other places we've stayed, the breezes were so nice. - Patio faces south so it is very hot all day. We did not find it comfortable until the evening. - Beach is nice, but it is not a swim or snorkel beach. Lots of sharp reef in the water. If paddle-boarding, wear shoes! Great beaches only a few miles South. - Odd that AC has 4 hour timer, which makes sense from an environmental impact, but given the hot south facing side, no breeze and road noise it was not convenient. AC would go off at 2 AM which was annoying. Overall, it worked for us and we enjoyed the stay.

Jill was great from start to finish. The unit was clean and presented just as described. The unit is well loved but comfortable and clean. The property was built decades ago but we were so impressed by the daily care from the maintenance staff. The owners and their HOA care deeply about the place lasting another 50+ years. A nice place to spend a week in paradise.

Overall had a great time with the family and infant with us. The property itself was clean and maintained well, 1 min walk to beach, shopping center and amenities. Though the exterior of the overall complex could use a bit of a refresh.

My family and I enjoyed the spaciousness of the unit and also the property grounds. Jill was easy to communicate with and very accommodating.

Check in and communication with Jill was easy! Great views from the condo. Kitchen was really well equipped and lots of space for our 2 year old to run around. Bathrooms were clean and updated and beds were comfy. AC worked great and easy parking in the parking lot. Pool was great and quick walk to the beach. Would definitely stay again!
