Thanks for providing such a wonderful home where we could comfortably stay while hosting our granddaughters for special “me” time visits! They took turns staying in the “circle bedspread” room, and they loved sitting at the head of the dining table where they could watch the birds, squirrels, bunnies, and dog walkers. The sunroom was a perfect play area after time spent at Cary Park or the library. We’ll be back!

Located on a beautiful street with a lovely front window view. The entrance in the back, covered parking area and cozy outside sitting area made it feel like home. There is plenty of space to spread out in the two living areas, as well as a nicely placed dining room. The beds were SO comfortable and the kitchen had every single item I looked for.
The most notable part of this property is the cleanliness. It was spotless and well taken care of. Oh, and every detail was thought of for visitors. I honestly felt like these owners have the template for a perfect rental!
My daughter is moving to Cary for a new job and this was our house scouting trip and I’m already thinking about visiting and renting here again.

This lovely house is the perfect home away from home. We spent much of our time in the sun room with the window shades open to the beauty of shrubbery, flowers, birds, squirrels, etc. The living room was cozy and provided the additional space needed when my family gathered together. The hosts are warm, inviting people and responded quickly to texts sent to them. Shops, parks, and library, all close by. We loved our short stay there.

The house has three lovely bedrooms and two great bathrooms. There is much to do within walking distance in the neighborhood.

We stayed here for our daughter's wedding at the Matthew House. It was really perfect for us! We loved being so close to the venue and within an easy walk to downtown restaurants. We especially loved the sunroom area which was a spacious hang-out area. We would highly recommend for anyone visiting Cary.

The Cary House is perfectly located, clean and comfortable. There are two separate living spaces which was great for those who wanted to watch TV and others who did not. Communication with owners was great and all our questions were answered. We definitely recommend!

Great location. Short walking distance from downtown Cary. In the same neighborhood I lived in for 30 years before moving in 2021. It felt like home! Great house. I told my Wife that the hardwood floors must have come from the same tree as the ones in my former house down the street! Host was very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again next visit,

If I could give a ten I would. Comfortable beds and pillows. House has a great layout. Owners very responsive. I had a dental issue while there. Owner got me in to see her dentist who was great. Just a great experience!!!!!

We were moving in our college freshman from Boston to Raleigh and wanted to ensure a comfortable, pleasant experience for all. The Cary House was absolute perfection. Spacious, lovely decor, and absolutely every detail was thought about by our hosts. Literally like being at home..but dare I say even better? My family and I very much enjoyed staying at this property. We enjoyed the quaint and charming house and everything it had to offer. Having stayed at other vacation homes I can honestly say the owners kept the house very clean and spared no details when it came to the amenities. I definitely recommend if you stay in Cary.

Our "go to" in Raleigh
The Cary House/Cottage are our "go to" spots when we visit our children in Raleigh. The Cary House is exactly as advertised. The residence is immaculate and attention to detail is evident. Carl and Louise are warm hosts and always make you feel welcome.
The house is located just a block away from the historic downtown district which offers a variety of food/drink establishments. Easy to walk around, great safe neighborhood.

Comfortable, well- maintained, charming!
We stayed for 10 days in this lovely home. It was perfect for having our granddaughters over for baking cookies, for a tea party, and for dinner. They also enjoyed the games and books. The yard is beautiful, too. Carl and Louise are excellent hosts. This is a great location. We walked to restaurants in charming downtown Cary. We look forward to staying here on our next visit to the Raleigh area!

The location was awesome, we enjoyed walking to downtown Cary and visiting the restaurants, shops and brew pubs. The house had everything we could want or need. It was so comfortable and I especially loved the computer desk in the living room as I had to do some work while staying there. Would live to stay there again on our next visit!

Like Coming Back Home
We were so glad to see that a weekend had opened up for us to come back after staying in your well equipped cottage just a couple weeks ago. This time we came to celebrate our granddaughter’s 3rd birthday. She asked to spend one night at Cary House again, feeling at home and knowing her way around.

perfect house and lovely neighborhood for our stay during our Daughters wedding weekend
This was the perfect house for us for our stay in Cary! Loved every aspect of this home. We were in NC for our daughters wedding in New Hill NC and this was a perfect location for us to get ready before the wedding events and to unwind afterward (which wasnt long enough!) I only wish we could have stayed longer. We have many friends in NC and plan to be back and will definitely stay at this home. The beds were comfy and the sun room was absolutely perfect to sip coffee in the morning. The restaurants in this area are perfect! I cant remember the name of the Turkish restaurant we ordered takeout from but it was divine!! Thank you so much for thinking of everything- your home is so lovely and perfectly stocked. My husband and I kept saying during our stay "we could retire here!"

Thanks for a wonderful visit; you provided everything we needed including a great location, a multitude of extra amenities, and especially being gracious hosts.
We enjoyed quiet walks around the neighborhoods with our granddaughter, who also enjoyed your yard as a “protected playground.” We enjoyed dinners in your dining room with its big picture window, watching the birds and walkers. Your all-season room was our main hangout- so comfortable we felt right at home.
The covered parking space was appreciated too, with all the rain we had as the remnants of Tropical Storm Fred passed over.
We look forward to returning to either Cary House or Cary Cottage as soon as our schedules permit.

Top Notch Property
This lovely property offers all the comforts of home. Beds are comfortable, kitchen and home well stocked. We used the sunroom and outdoor patio a lot. The home is close (easy walking distance) to everything in town. The owners are friendly and easy to deal with. We would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend.

A perfect stay
This is a beautiful little gem of a home convenient to the center of Cary. It is simply laid out, tastefully appointed, and full of light. The hosts, Carl and Louise Gilfillan, were gracious and accommodating. Six of us came for a family wedding, and Cary House met our needs perfectly!

Wonderful place
We lived this place. Owners are great and very welcoming to you. They have a beautiful place and it’s very roomy and the beds are comfy as well. Nice walk to the restaurants near by and a nice eve ring walk with a dessert as well.
