Everything! We loved our stay at Rockfig. There are just a handful of totally private, beautiful lodges with amazing views across the park. Everything was spotlessly clean and all the staff were wonderful. Our game drives were great. Thank you to Chene, Hanru and all the team for your hospitality x

The setting and accommodation were beautiful.

The lobby was very comfortable, the food was delicious, also the variaty of the food and quantity was beyond all expactation. The stuff were extremely nice and liable and gave us a great feeling all the time, during our stay.

It was our second time and I cannot praise it highly enough. Everything is perfect. The staff are so kind. The accommodation is stunning. So much attention to detail. And the game drives were absolutely amazing. Our guide, Honest is so knowledgeable. We have been on many safaris but this time the viewings exceeded all the others. Madikwe and Rockfig Lodge are the best!

Excellent service! The staff went above and beyond. Hanru, our game driver was exceptionally knowledgeable and committed to giving us the best possible safari experience. We loved the welcome drinks upon arrival and after every game drive, as well as the the sundowners and morning coffee stops in the bush. We appreciated the hot water bottles to keep us warm on the drives and loved returning to an already lit fire in the evenings.

The non consistent quality of the meals

the property was very neat, well kept, beautiful and peaceful. Every staff member was really lovely, from Sarita to our safari guide, Honest! Exceptional.

The food (Sylvester prepared some of the best meals I had in the last year since we live in S-A), the ranger (Honesty was very knowledgable & nice person to have around), the service (Pauline & the rest of the Team with an ever-friendly smile). And not to forget: "The Hide"... 3 herds of elefants (+50) coming for a drink at the waterhole at noon!

we loved our family villa. it was so spacious with a beautiful outdoor pool and deck area, and enormous chef kitchen perfectly fitted out.

Where do I even start? - Amazing and top-class service-mindedness from all staff, all your needs are always taken care of and each detail has an element of personal touch. - Even though we stayed for 3 nights, each day was different. The staff/management always came up with new ways to keep you entertained, especially in how dinners were served. - Speaking of dinners, the food was very good and the chef was very friendly. We also really enjoyed the small snacks before the game drives (especially the high tea time before the afternoon drive consisting of really yummy finger foods!) - The pictures don't do the rooms justice, meaning the quality of the accommodation exceeded our expectations. The rooms were very clean, spacious, modern, and had a very nice interior design. There were also a lot of appreciated elements, such as outdoor shower, own pool, spacious patio, good-sized bathroom with two sinks, comfortable bed, high ceiling etc. - Our safari guide/ranger Damien was extremely easy-going, not to mention very knowledgeable and addressed all our crazy questions and requests. He was very professional and always with a good sense of humor, which made the drives both educational and fun at the same time. We saw pretty much all the animals you could have, except for a leopard. - An additional positive aspect was that the cars had extra protection (thin sidebars & roof), which was a great protection against the bushes (something the other lodges' cars didn't always have and we could tell people were scratched a lot more while driving). - The hide, which is available on the premises where you can view animals by the waterhole, provided plenty of additional sightings and it was a very welcome addition to our stay.

Everything was perfect, but if we have to comment on something we'd raise one very minor thing: - The fridge/minibar in the room could be more equipped with additional drinks/snacks etc. just so it's there readily available without having to walk to/contact the reception.

Our Lodge which we stayed was very beautiful modan two bed rooms and it was much more than our expectations.

Room was wonderful but it located quite long destance from the main building. I have bad knee so quite painful for walking. About Game drive, out sheet wes the last one all the time and couldn't hear any information by the Game Driver/guide.

By far one of the most amazing safari holidays we’ve had. We always leave this place with such a sense of peace & relaxation. The lodge is stunning; the staff beyond accommodating & the game drives are so good. Definitely recommend Rock Fig & cannot wait to come back for the 3rd time!
