We had the most wonderful time at Niamh’s house! It was perfectly appointed and just as described. Minutes walk to a nearly private beach and 10 minutes to Dingle. We hope to return again as it was an ideal property! Don’t hesitate to book this site!

We had a lovely stay in the spacious home, Didean. The number of bedrooms and bathrooms/toilets made it a very good choice for our family reunion to celebrate our 40th anniversary. The pastoral location, countryside views, short walk to the beach and close proximity to Dingle were exceptional.
We appreciated and made full use of all the amenities in the home. The back garden was a wonderful play space and the children and adults alike spent a lot of time kicking a ball around, flying their styrofoam airplanes and generally enjoying the outdoors. The weather did not hold us back and we made regular visits to the nearby beach and to Dingle. The secluded beach was a 5-10 minute walk away which made it very convenient and was thoroughly enjoyed by young and old.
There were a few issues that we encountered and raised with the owners. The one thing we would suggest changing in the description of the title is the word "Luxury". Perhaps a better word is "Comfortable". Of course everyone's idea of luxury is relative. The ability for one house to accommodate our 14 family members was, for us, luxury. Some of the amenities in the house are by European standards, luxury. However, in our view, the furniture and standard of upkeep was not luxury. Having said this, we did not regret our choice or our stay and we would recommend Didean.

Overall a lovely property. Would be helpful if more than one stove burner was functional, and you must inform customers that water tank on dryer needs to be emptied periodically, to function properly.

Smooth booking, cot and highchair provided as requested. Great kitchen and dining space with plenty of lovely kitchenware. Heating and hot water easy and preset. Beach near the property was lovely (need to go over slippy rocky pathway to access but kids and adults could do so). Views from house were mountains, green fields and farm animals, very peaceful. No one else on beach except the lovely dog who guided us. About 10 min drive to Dingle which has great bars ice cream shops, restaurants, aquarium and boat trips.

We arrived at the lovely house in Dingle, a family of 10 people. The house is very spacious and comfortable, a spacious kitchen that is enough for everyone.
The house is clean and tidy, surrounded by vegetable lawns, and not far from it is an spectacular beach. The hosts were charming and available for anything and everything.
We had a lot of fun. We will surely return.
Highly recommended.

We loved this amazing property! It was perfect for our three generation family of 11. We enjoyed the short 5 minute walk to an amazing beach every day. We spent most of our time in the huge kitchen and dining area. There was plenty of room for all of us and our local guests. (A few of the dining chairs could use some repair, as the seats had somewhat collapsed.) Natalia was very responsive when we needed a few items for cooking for our large group. The “suite” on the second floor was a perfect location for a family of 5. They had 2 bedrooms, a sitting room and a full bath all to themselves. There are 3 full bathrooms and a powder room on the main level. Two of the full baths are on-suite with showers. One of the full baths has a beautiful, large tub with a handheld sprayer. It was great for bathing the children, but was less than ideal as the main bathroom for two of the bedrooms. The adults in those bedrooms had to shower in one of the on-suite baths in another room. We loved being greeted by the cows in the adjacent field each morning and we were pleasantly surprised when a small herd of calves strayed into our yard.
This was the perfect location for a family get away! Just a short drive to Dingle. We would love to make this an annual holiday!

Everything about our stay was magical. We rented an 8 passenger van for travel, so once my husband had that down - driving on the left side of road with steering wheel on the right - we were golden! We saw the whole of the Dingle Peninsula - Slea Head Drive was a family favorite but so was Killarney National Park, the town of Dingle, the Ring of Kerry, the list goes on and on. The view down the end of the road the house was on made us all giddy and so grateful for this wonderful family trip . The house was super comfortable- the hosts answered any questions, were very responsive to anything we needed and even left us a book to refer to for additional excursions and contacts. You will surely love your stay in Ireland - we were 6 adults and 2 teens and everyone had room to do their own thing if need be. Thank you so much N and F. You helped make a dream of ours come true !

Needs met and wants exceeded. Great home for 5+ people. Our second time staying on the peninsula and this was a great home for us. We only wish we had more days at home relaxing and walking to the beach! Touring can be exhausting and it was great to have a lovely home waiting for you in a quiet neighborhood where the biggest bother is a cow mooing or one of the neighborhood dogs popping in for an ear scratch. You will not be disappointed!

The house is lovely. Airy and tastefully decorated. 10 minutes from Dingle. The beach was a 5 minute walk and nearly our own. Spent mornings with coffee on deck. The kitchen has everything you need.

My father is from the Maharees on the Dingle peninsula. I thought what a wonderful way to celebrate our delayed 50th anniversary by two years was to bring our kids and the grandkids back home to celebrate with our family who still live in the Maharees. We were so thrilled to find this beautiful home in the country away from the bustle of the town. The kids had a nice yard to play in and they could walk down the road to the beach and climb up a mountain. We were greeted by the dog across the street and the mooing of the cows ……just a touch of Heaven. When we left something behind of value, Niamh was more than happy to get it returned to us postage free. All Our needs were met and we didn’t lack for anything. we would highly recommend this to families who like to celebrate the quiet charm of living in the countryside of Ireland

Dídean provided our 11 adult family with a perfect holiday home for our week in Kerry. Perfect location just 5 mins walk from a lovely beach (a bit dodgy at times for swimming) & only 15 mins from Dingle. Some great restaurants & pubs in Dingle, Ventry & beyond. Trish solved our few issues immediately. Would love to return.

The property was great and suited our group. We ate in a lot so enjoyed the space to cook and eat. Lovely big garden just right for the children to play in and family games of boule tennis and badminton. We didn't use the television,! Wonderful beach close to property. Really enjoyed the week.

Jackson Family Trip 2022
We had 12 staying at the house. The setup was great with the kitchen as the focal point of the gathering. Kitchen is well set up with all that you need. The windows in the kitchen and deck were wonderful. The bedrooms and showers were nice.
It is a short walk to a beautiful beach. We walked every nite after dinner to hear the waves.
We did have a cow stampede as we were coming up the .road to the house.
It was a magical week in Ireland. Loved the Dingle area.
My only wish was that the house was closer to Dingle.

Wonderful Irish property!
The property is set in the beautiful countryside just outside of Dingle. We found it to be a great jumping off point for day trips or easy and conveniently close to town to explore. This was the 2nd time we've stayed in this home and it won't be the last!

Best vacation EVER
Not only was our vacation to Ireland, especially Dingle, magical, but the Dingle house was the icing on the cake! The house description was spot on but so much more beautiful in person. Very well appointed and comfortable and accommodating for two people or twelve! Spectacular 360 degree views surround the property and a short walk to the tranquil private beach adds to the charm. Niamh and Frank are gracious hosts and not at all intrusive, but very readily available if needed. The location is perfectly convenient for sightseeing the Dingle Peninsula, traveling the Ring of Kerry, shopping the streets of Killarney, or just staying home with a good book and watching the horses play and cows graze in the back fields! We will be returning to Dingle again and when we do, this is where we'll stay! Words don't do this property justice!

Spacious
Beautiful property, plenty of space and bathrooms. 4-5 mins walk from a beautiful beach. We couldn’t use the outdoor patio as it was raining. But given the opportunity we would’ve. Quiet place and 12 mins drive into Dingle. Would definitely stay there again.

Fab House with access to stunning semi-private beach
The house was beautiful. Spotlessly clean and even nicer than the pictures show, especially the bedrooms. Loved the fact that house is located 200 yards from a small beach that very few seem to know about with cliffs as a backdrop. Perfect views, sunsets & sun trap although access to swimming through the surf was a task in itself!!

Great family break away in Dingle
We had an amazing week in Dingle. We were a group of two families, 4 adults, 7 children (ages range 4 - 13 years). The house was perfect for our needs. It is clean and bright with 6 large bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. It’s location within a 5 minutes walk to a beautiful beach was the highlight of our holidays. We had the beach to ourselves most of the time and the views were amazing. It was a 12 minute drive from Dingle which is full of lots of lovely shops and restaurants. We would recommend this house and beautiful Dingle 😊

A beautiful home in a stunning location
This house is better described as a home since it has all the convenience details you leave behind when taking a vacation. We particularly enjoyed the hill walking with its stunning coastal views. The house was a good base location for trips to many of Kerry's wonderful sites.

Good holiday
Lovely location and true to description. Few minor problems e.g. couldn't open washing machine as we didn't tug hand enough for fear of breaking the handle but probs quickly sorted. I would say the equipment needs some updating, tumble drier makes an alarming noise and house needs some TLC in places but we enjoyed our stay

Beautiful home makes great base to explore Dingle.
This beautiful, comfortable home is perfect for a large group, and makes a great base for exploring the breathtaking Dingle Peninsula.
There were 10 of us traveling. My husband and I rented the house to celebrate my 60th birthday. We were joined by my two sisters, one brother-in-law, my 94-year-old mother, and a niece and nephew and their spouses.
The house suited us perfectly. The younger folks stayed upstairs, where there are two bedrooms, bathroom with Jacuzzi, and a sitting room. The skylights reportedly provide star-gazing opportunities right from the beds.
Meanwhile, we older folks were very comfortable downstairs, with four bedrooms (two ensuite), another large bathroom, and a powder room. There was also a inviting parlor, a big lovely kitchen, and a large dining table that accommodated all of us. The dining room has three walls of windows so we could fully enjoy the fabulous views. There is also a laundry room, which was so convenient.
The check in was super-easy. We were met by Colette, who was friendly and informative, and who turned the heat on for us so the house would be cozy upon our arrival.
The scenery in the area was spectacular. It was just a two minute walk from the house to the beach, and also the start of a nice hike on Bull’s Head. The house is only 10 minutes from Dingle, where you can enjoy the pubs, shops and restaurants (the Fish Box is especially wonderful). We also loved all the breathtaking sights of the Slea Head Drive, and enjoyed going over the Conor Pass to explore the north side of the peninsula.
I would highly recommend Didean cottage, and would totally stay there again!

Peaceful, comfortable, family friendly, lots to do
Our family stayed in the winter months, for several weeks. Our stay was delightful. The house was cozy, the walk to the beach was just perfect. We loved waking up to cows in the yard and seagulls crying and the sound of the ocean. We got a chance to meet some of the neighbors, who were very friendly, and someone's lovely black dog who visited us each day. She joined us on our daily walk to the beach or around the neighborhood, and the whole family fell in love with her.
The house is about 10 minutes from Dingle. The local grocery stores are good. Supervalu has some great sales, and Lidl's prices and produce selection are great. This was important to us because we were staying a long time and didn't want to spend $$ eating out all the time. If you like brown bread with your soup, Courtney's bakery in Dingle makes the most amazing "Dingle Health Bread," which you can get at Spar or the Texaco convenient store (always crowded, very popular with the locals!) when the bakery is closed. The kids always fought over the last piece!
The town was very quiet when we were there as many businesses were closed for the season, but the ones that were open were wonderful. We met kind and helpful people at the produce store (Kingdom Fresh), the cinema (Phoenix), Dierdre's, the stained glass place next to the church, Dingle Aquarium, Explorer's World (Roy was amazing with helping the kids learn), and Catriona's (a hair salon across from the marina where they cut my daughter's bangs free of charge! Thank you, Catriona). We really enjoyed crepes from the crepe stand in town when it was open. The linen shop was also great, they had such beautiful things, from nightgowns to table linens.
Many of the restaurants were closed, but the ones that were open were all good. We didn't have a single disappointing meal. We especially liked Dierdre's Cafe for lunch and Fishbox for dinner. My one criticism would be that all the restaurants (except the Chinese and pizza places) had basically the same menu, so it was hard to find variety. Novecento, the pizza place, was excellent for take out pizza.
We very much enjoyed a drive around Slea Head and all the sights on that drive. Also close by are horse back riding at Long's Riding Stables, Inch Beach, Minard Castle, and Tralee and Killarney are both about an hour away and worth the drive for a day.
We had a fabulous extended stay at this lovely home in Dingle!

Great Accommodation in a Magical Part of Ireland!
Myself and my three children, my mum, my brother and his son and my two sisters and their families spent a week in this wonderful part of Ireland at this lovely accommodation.
There were 15 of us in total and we had a fabulous time. We were met upon our arrival by Collette who welcomed us 'home' and showed us around the house and was very helpful and informative.
The house was in a lovely and peaceful area and only a few minutes from a deserted beach where the waves of the Atlantic crashed the sunrises and sunsets were incredible.
The town of Dingle was only 10 minutes away and provided excellent food, pubs and a little more hustle and bustle. We climbed to Eask tower, which was worth the climb, drove across the Connor Pass (several times) which was amazing, had a boat trip to see Fungi the resident dolphin (who we saw up close and personal), went body boarding and did the Slea Head drive (a recommendation from Collette) which was amazing.
The accommodation was fantastic with ample room, great facilities and perfectly located to provide tranquillity but within really easy reach of the busy town of Dingle.
We were very lucky with the weather which was beautiful for the whole the week but enjoyed one of the most memorable stays in fantastic accommodation in a wonderful part of Ireland.
Thanks Niamh and Frank and thoroughly recommended to other people thinking of visiting this area.

Great week on the Dingle Peninsula
Lovely modern property. The large kitchen/diner is the central gathering space and is extremely well equipped. The house was spotless when we arrived with some welcome flowers and bottles of wine.
The house is as described (do note that there are no turf fires or working wood burners) but the heating is generous and more than adequate. The owner, Niamh, sent us all the information we needed before check-in and has left lots of clear information about the house and things to do locally.
The beach is a 10-minute walk and lovely when you get to it. The Dingle peninsular is breathtaking and the ECO boat tour to the Blasket Islands is unmissable if you are visiting in season.
We used the local cab company for nights out in Dingle - great fun - and the Dingle Food festival is a great craic.
I would definitely recommend this property for groups of friends or large family groups who want a comfortable base from which to explore the peninsular and the Ring of Kerry - a very special and magical corner of the world!

Perfect house for Extended Family
First of all the house - 6 bedrooms, 4 1/2 baths, and the perfect kitchen/ dining area to gather, with an adjacent deck when weather is nice. The house is very well maintained, with an extensive yard. Then, the location is perfect for a relaxing vacation, yet not too far (about 15 minutes by car) from the town of Dingle. It is a pastoral site, with a few dairy farms, and a short walk to a remote beach. Great for kids!

Large, comfortable, clean home in lovely setting
This is a very lovely home in a beautiful rural setting about 10 minutes out of Dingle. You can walk to a very private beach with amazing views. The home is well maintained. The expectations of the owners are that you will leave the home as clean as you have received it. There are very precise instructions on how you leave the home. They must have had some disrespectful renters in the past. Putting that aside, there was plenty of room for the 8 of us. Easily can accommodate more but the only dining table in the house can accommodate 10. There is a lounge or living space but it is a separate room. We found that we preferred to gather around the dining table and on the deck off the kitchen. Some of the outside patio furniture is rusted but still in good enough shape. The washing machine and dryer were fantastic, the dishwasher was great to have and there is a large refrigerator in the kitchen and a european size refrigerator and freezer in the laundry room. There is plenty of hot water with the use of the booster heater. The kitchen is well equipped and there is plenty of pantry space. Any concern or question we had was quickly handled by the owners.
If you are clean and respectful renters you will love this home.

Perfect home and location for a family vacation!
This truly was the perfect home and location for a family vacation on breathtaking Dingle Peninsula! My husband and I and our family all wish we had more time than the five wonderful days we spent at this beautiful home. We knew this home and its location were special as soon as we arrived - feeling at home and at rest in this perfectly equipped home in its idyllic location, with working farms nearby, views of horses and sheep in the fields and hills behind the home and cows across the way. We so enjoyed the short walk down to this location’s very special beach which lends grand views of the Atlantic Ocean and mountains beyond, especially when we were greeted and escorted midway to the beach by one very friendly dog of a neighboring family that seemed to enjoy the walk, beach and company as much as us. The home’s large, airy kitchen and dining area and its outdoor deck provided the perfect setting for our large family gatherings before and after busy days in the nearby Town of Dingle and tours of the west coast of Ireland, and at the end of each day we enjoyed a very comfortable night’s sleep. We were sad when our time at this home came to an end but hope to make it back in the near future. Thank you Niamh and Frank! We had a wonderful time!

A great family home to rent in Dingle
I stayed at the home of Niamh Ni Chanainn and her husband Frank with my extended family of 12 adults and 3 children. In a photo the house may appear deceptively small from the outside, but it was surprisingly spacious and roomy.
The beach, which is a short walk down the road was as lovely as you could hope for, and the drive in to Dingle was about 10 minutes and kind of fun (especially if you don't mind occasionally sharing the road with a herd of cattle from the farm down the road).
Niamh and Frank were very attentive to our needs and quick to respond to questions. I highly recommend this house!
