The view is fantastic and unbeatable. The location is pretty central to downtown Gatlinburg as well. The house itself was very entertaining for the kids with the pool, rock wall, and hot tub. The downsides were that the house just wasn’t very clean upon arrival with bunk comforters still having trash on them and sheets not washed, several mice were seen in the upstairs and downstairs, and there was no coffee pot for the coffee maker which was disappointing for several coffee drinkers! Overall, great location and could’ve been excellent if it had been cleaned prior to staying.

Overall, we were pretty happy with our choice of cabin for our large family. It had something for everyone. The space, bathroom in every bedroom (a major plus) arcade games, closeness of Gatlinburg and Dollyworld. That first morning cup of coffee sitting on the deck and just admiring "THE VIEW". Just beautiful. So peaceful :) We did have an incident with wasps in the base of the hot tub which lead to two people getting stung, but a quick call to the office and they sent someone out right away to spray the area, and the lady on the phone gave a suggestion of putting toothpaste on the sting area which worked great. The kids just loved in the indoor pool. Cons: Alot of stairs for the 4 levels so expect to feel it in your calves. The cover for the foam matts at the base of the climbing wall were disgusting. Stained to the point where they should be replaced. Overall, the cleanliness was good but the windows that overlooked "THE VIEW" looks like someone shook up a can of soda and sprayed the windows (even up high) and above the main door. I ended up washing down the main door (glass) and what windows I could reach. I'm truly surprised that whoever cleans did not attempt that. Very noticeable. Overall, very satisfied. Our second day we left to go down to the store and our second turn down the mountain we saw a momma bear with two cubs. That was so surreal and put a smile on our faces.

We came as one big group from the same family, a total of 19 of us. There was something for everyone to do! The little kids and teenagers were entertained with all the games and the pool while the adults couldn’t get enough of the view. We had an air hockey tournament and it was so much fun. Everyone said they had a fantastic time and couldn’t have had a better week in TN. We also got to see a momma bear with three little cubs and that was the icing on the cake. Don’t worry we stayed inside and away from them but watched through the glass in the front door. We would absolutely book this home again.

We LOVED our time spent at Splash Mansion. We found the house well cleaned and there was plenty of space and activities for all 8 of us! Game room was well equipped and everything worked. Pool and hot top were well maintained and enjoyed by us all. Kitchen was fully equipped for all of our needs. Pics on sited accurately portrayed the rental. The Mountain View was breathtaking. Communication with rental company was easy and we loved the speedy check in and check out. Would definitely re visit.

We worried about the reviews so we reached out to the rental company, they were great & assured us that if things did not feel clean we could call when we checked in they would help us. Check in was easy & the layout of the house was great for our group. Only feedback based on the reviews & our stay experience: Everything was clean [kitchen, hot tub, bathrooms], but some aspects are dated & make it feel less clean. For example the furniture is all pretty old & does not look the cleanest. Same for the mats that are under the climbing wall. The pool is great and our kids did not care, but the furniture around it was in rough. Something the listing did not show is that one room does not have a bathroom in it [it is outside of the room and is the common bathroom for that floor], but it has a very large, old, jacuzzi in it. Other considerations One of the bedrooms is a spacious loft, but something to consider if you have kids. There are PLENTY of common areas [one of them being below this loft], so you could always hang out in another one, but anywhere you go there may be people sleeping. No blinds on the giant windows which makes sense it is a beautiful view, so that is a room for earlier risers. The listing says is sleeps 18 & I do not feel that is accurate. Even if you put 3 people to a king bed, it only adds to 17, the couches don't feel clean enough to sleep on. Bunk beds are on the bottom of 4 floors so not great for younger kids. Need a bigger fridge for that many people.

I was concerned about some of the comments when booking this property. It appeared to have a cleanliness issue.
Upon arriving, the property was in a great location with an excellent view.
The upper windows were dirty, but they were 20 to 30 feet in the air. It is unpractical to expect that these windows be cleaned for every visitor, after every rain, etc...
The couches were not immaculate, the arm rests showed some wear.
The kitchen, game room, living room, bathrooms and bedrooms were very clean.
If you're looking for a Waldorf Astoria level property, book another property.
If you're looking for a great property for your family to enjoy their vacation, this is the place...

The cabin was very dirty! The kitchen had several light bulbs out. The dishes in the kitchen were nasty. I tried to use a Tupperware bowl that still had popcorn in it from previous guest. We did not have enough eating utensils for the amount of people the cabin holds. The floors were not cleaned very well if at all. The Carpet was stained and food was still in the carpet from previous guest. Under the couch cushions and futons were disgusting. The fireplace did not work. Sticky stuff was splattered all over the walls on the main floor. The bathrooms were also not very clean. The bathroom shower on the 4th floor left standing water that began leaking through the ceiling. We had no extra linens for the futons. The downstairs rock wall cushions were disgusting and stained. The heat on the bottom floor was also not working so no one could sleep down there without freezing. The pool area was also dirty. The hot tub did not have enough water in it and was not working well. The indoor pool water was too hot for our kids to enjoy. Very overpriced cabin for our experience!

Beautiful View
Without a doubt the place is beautiful our family definitely had a great time here. However, there were areas in the cabin that were very dirty. A couple closets had dirty plates and sheets that were left from the previous tenants, carpets are dirty, and the pool bathroom is not sanitary. We also had issues with the water pressure while taking a shower, the water completely shut off on all upstairs bathrooms and we were not able to use them for a day. We did call and have the issue resolved thanks to the staff who are very responsive.

Splash Moutain New Years Week
Perfect for our family of 12. Rooms were spacious, amenities were great for teens, plenty of common space for adults and a great view of the mountains. My only grumble was that renters do not take care of the carpet and it needed cleaning. The kitchen needed some minor repairs but a few hundred $ would change everything. I'm glad that the damaged porch on the north side of the cabin was chained off so that no one would go there and fall through the rotten porch rails. Other than these minor repairs, it was easy doing business with your team and we loved the cabin!

Besides the view, this cabin's description is all wrong.
The pictures provided are extremely old and do not display an accurate image of the home.
As the prior VRBO reviews claimed, the house was simply unsanitary and lacked many simple appliances. When our party called to ask about these reviews we were falsely told that every review is resolved. However, this was clearly inaccurate as the fridge door was not fixed, the handle was broken, and it required a chair to keep it closed. The carpets were extremely dirty and there were numerous stains on them, especially on the stairs. The pool table and air hockey table were in terrible condition. The pool bathroom and the ceiling above the pool are also extremely dirty. Beyond the undeniable lack of cleanliness, there is also definitely a mouse in the house.
The bannisters are completely unstable; both outside and in the upstairs bedroom. There are missing pieces of the railing outside. This is unsafe and unacceptable. The kids' climbing wall is also missing some of the rocks.
If safety, health, and cleanliness were priorities for their guests, the home would not be left in this condition. When we mentioned all of this, they showed an extreme lack of concern and lack of communication. Obviously, it's because they are aware of all of the problems in the house and do not care enough to make the changes necessary to update the house.

The view was spectacular but the cabin needs work. Broken shower doors, air conditioning overflow tray filled and we had to bail the water out because it was flooding the carpet. Bugs on third floor. Needs lots of maintenance

Overall a great stay!
There was a group of 12, 5 familys all under one roof. There was more than enough space to accommodate everyone! The breath taking view is the selling point. Everyone enjoyed the view of the smokies from sun up to sun down. The drive to g up to the cabin was crazy but its manageable up and down. Its conveniently located within 15 minutes from both downtown gatlinburg and pigeon forge. The only negative anyone had to complain about was small stuff. The jets on the jacuzzi were hard to get on because the button was hard to push in, some of the sofas could be updated, rips on the lower floor and stains on some of the pullout chairs. Stains on the carpets the could be cleaned up but none of that was an issue with the rest lf the house being fine. Most bedrooms had there own bathrooms which was a plus. More than enough parking space for 4 vehicles compared to the other neighbors parking areas overall everyone was happy and enjoying the stay. 4 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐ from the family!

This cabin was amazing, our group ended up being four couples over the age of 30, no children this trip and this cabin was perfect

Only complaint we had during our stay was that the pool room and pool were to cold for us old folks, which was addressed promptly by property owners on the same day

Fridge is missing handles. Dining room table broken. No dishes for 18 people. Hot tub broken. Air hockey table falling apart. Rock wall falling apart. You can feel the coils on couch because they are so old. For price they should repair items. Not worth the price

It was great to have a bathroom in each bedroom. King size beds in each room were also comfortable. Plenty of space for our two families. My only complaint is the living room furniture in both common areas. They need replaced... very worn and not clean.

Gorgeous view of the Le Conte mountains
The property is beautiful! It was perfect for our covid vacation with our friends and family during the Spring break. The indoor pool, hot tub and small rock climbing feature was a hit with the kids. The Kitchen appliances can use some upgrades.

Great View
The views were spectacular. The cabin was slightly outdated and not the cleanest. Hot tub jets were broken and the refrigerator door wouldn’t shut so we had to keep something pinned against it so food wouldn’t spoil. All in all it was an okay spot but not certain I would book again with Aunt Bugs cabins.

Hi check in time was after 6 pm driving 10 hours away cabin was dirty Refrigerator outdated door doesn’t close no appliances Buggs Downstairs they had to call exterminator The pool area smelled horrible and the Jacuzzi wasn’t properly clean not all TVs worked in the rooms. Call two times for them to pick up the garbage and it took two days later the service was very horrible I wouldn’t recommend this for anybody to go to this cabin rental

Family Reunion
Perfect for our gathering of family across the country. There was something for everyone to enjoy at Splash Mansion.
The online checking in was great as we detoured around Pigeonforge traffic. Location close to the park entrance for our daily hikes. Would definitely stay there again.

We had a blast in Gatlinburg. The house was a different story. The house is outdated some of the furniture is broken when sitting on it. At night when we laid down to sleep the furnace would come on to heat the house and the whole house vibrated. At one point I thought I was on a rocket going to the moon. Also be aware that the rental company requires 500 cash only security deposit that they will make up a story for you to lose and not get back.

Our visit to Splash Mansion was great. We were traveling with six kids so having the indoor pool and climbing wall was an added bonus. The cabin was clean and spacious! We were running a little late getting there but the people in the office were extra courteous!! Hope to stay there again in the future!!

Problem at check-in. I was not told I need cash for the deposit and did not have $500.00 in cash. I Had to go to a nearby bank and withdraw the money from an ATM. Cabin was not ready until after 5:00PM and not cleaned well. Many problems with things that were dirty or broken. Call office twice about emptying outside garbage and that never did get done.

Summer vacation at Splash Mountain
The house was perfect for our vacation. Space was adequate. The house however does need an upgrade. Carpets need to be replaced, kitchen should be stocked with cook ware for those like us like to cook in ocassionally. A whole house general cleaning should be done. Our stay was incredible. From the moment we walked in, I was in awe at how beautiful this cabin is. It was immaculately clean, spacious, and the view indescribable. The pictures do not do this cabin justice. All standard kitchen tools, cutlery and serving dishes were available and everything was clean. My husband noted that he thought there could be more pots and pans (and perhaps newer ones), especially if you have a large group, but we had no issues making meals. The hot tub and pool were warm and inviting, although one of the hot tub jets was not working. It made no difference to me and was still very enjoyable and relaxing after a day of hiking and horseback riding. We had a couple of minor issues (the refrigerator door didn't seal easily and a fire alarm beeped periodically on the first day due to the battery needing replaced), but one call to management and someone was out to fix these things immediately. Beds were very comfortable with clean linens. We enjoyed coffee as we watched the sun rise and the mountains change color each morning on the deck that wrapped around the entire cabin. Our 7-night stay was truly the trip of a lifetime that our family very much needed, and I would not hesitate to recommend staying at Splash Mountain. We are already planning to come back next spring.

Pros: You cannot beat this view! AMAZING! The location in proximity to both downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge was very convenient. Privacy was really good. Space was more than enough for our group of 16. Upgraded the TVs, also had Netflix, Wifi, cable in every bedroom. Pool was larger than imagined in the pictures. Hot tub worked as intended. Well stocked with supplies to get you started- tp, garbage bags, hand soap, dishsoap. Ample parking space. Washer and dryer worked well and were nice to have. Lots of cooking utensils, although exteremely hard to cook with because of wear. Deck space was amazing! Cons: The carpet, rugs are beyond dirty in dire need of replacement. Few windows didn’t work or broken. Couches in living room space need to be replaced - dirty and one was not useable due to wear and sagging. Refrigerator was small for 16 guests. Lots if dirt and dust (bedding and surfaces were clean though). Broken glass on one table, blinds are very hard to work. Oven not heating well. Overall, you will not beat this view and location to the downtowns, the pool also makes it worth it. However, definitely needs some deep cleaning and upgrades to the furniture and new rugs, carpets. We had an initial hard time getting past the all the rug and carpet stains, and amount of ground in dirt. Other cons we could live with and make due.

The views were amazing. We do, however, have some issues. We have stayed at multiple locations and with the amount paid to stay we expected the cabin to be spotless and all amenities to be functional. The issues with the property are as follows.. 1.) The cabin smelled and did not seem very clean upon our arrival. 2.) The pots/pans in kitchen were horrible and not enough to cook meals for the amount of people the cabin could hold. 3.) The furniture was gross and needs replaced as well as the pull out beds were unusable requiring us to purchase blow up mattresses and 4.) The TV on the lowest floor did not even work.

Whole experience was amazing! The view from the deck/windows was insane. We ordered pizza one night and by the time we got to the door, the pizza guy was looking at the view in awe and asked if he could stay to take some pictures. He said he delivers to a huge number of cabins and had never seen a view as amazing as this one. When the locals are dropping their jaw, you know you've found something special. It was spectacular. The little pool was nice, a tad colder than I hoped but was great for chilling. We didn't try the hot tub but everything was delightful from top to bottom of the place. Game tables were old/worn but functional/fun. We went for our honeymoon and this place is WAY big for that, but it worked great as a surprise getaway. I surprised her telling her we got a "cozy shack" rental that has good views but was pretty small. This worked out great for revealing by stages. When you arrive, you see the amazing view and see the first 1.5 floors of the cabin. Looks decent-sized but the bottom 2 floors are completely hidden upon drive-up. We walked in on the den/kitchen floor and she gushed about the place just from seeing only that + the view. I then showed her the jacuzzi (which worked great, btw). I then showed her there were stairs down and revealed the pool table and air hockey (which we both love). She was delighted with only that (again)! Then I took her down one more level and showed her the rock climbing wall and she was even more taken aback at how cool the cabin was. Then was the outside deck with the hot tub. Then the indoor pool reveal.... she was overjoyed! Made for an insanely good cozy getaway. The size would be much more ideal for a larger family event but having a mansion all to ourselves was a wonderful splurge for our honeymoon. Will definitely find an excuse to come back!

While we had a problem with management prior to arriving, which had us worried about our decision, the cabin won us over. The women who care for the cabin had it cleaned beautifully, and helped us with some great tips (ie. do not leave car windows cracked open since bears are in the area and can find their way in). A big thank you to the two of them! The cabin was all we hoped it would be, giving us plenty of room for the 3 families to have time together, and time to ourselves. The view was breathtaking, and we found ourselves taking pictures from the deck every hour as the sun and clouds changed the landscape. We cooked every day, had plenty of plates, utensils, and cups, but could have used an upgrade on pans,etc. The cabin is a short drive to downtown Gatlinburg, The Great Smoky Mountain entrance, and white water rafting. I would definitely recommend this cabin, but would also recommend calling management a few days before leaving to guarantee current terms are as present in your contract.

Beautiful house and location. Very clean. We had a party of 11 and could fit more very comfortably. A couple couches need replaced and more seating on the main deck would be nice but very very clean and nice. We were told we needed to put $500 (cash only)deposit AT checkin when we checked in. We didnt truley know this despite being told we were notified. I would of definitely remembered something like that and taken note if an email was sent. Luckily we did have enough cash. But that was detail i wasnt too happy about. Otherwise very positive experience.

OUr family of 12 people came to this cabin with 3 grandbabies (9mos - 7yrs); 4 couples and 1 just graduated from UTK young man. The "good" is that the propoerty was nice and clean and the layout was just as pictured. We were very excited to hang out and spend some days together celebrating the UTK graduate. The "not so good" - I like to cook and the kitchen is very poorly outfitted. The oven has inconsistent heat, there is only 1 large skillet - try making breakfast for 10+ people with 1 skillet! THere is an electric skillet....with no plug... :-(... The refrigerator doesn't stay closed. THe overall neatness of the kitchen pots/pans is bad. The few pots/pans there are broken, stained, small etc... We were inconvenienced alot for that. There are a TON of carpenter bees. While I expect some - this was beyond ridiculous - we couldn't sit outside...oh, and there were only 2 rockers anyway, so no long nice nights/days with a group to chat... The carpets are in big time need of updating as is the furniture.... Overall, the cleanliness is great, the "stuff" to sit on, and walk on was old, dated, worn. I wouldn't be as critical except this was a pretty expensive cabin so I would have thought it would be stellar!! Also, the pool area has a fan, but it didn't work so the pool area had a strong chemical smell so we didn't have the grandkids in there very long.... View - IMPECCABLE.... So, just know this going in. We were disappointed in the cost for what we received and likely won't use Aunt Bugs in the future...
