It has everything you need in the kitchen for basic dining and cooking. The bed is comfortable. The appartment is spacious and located very close to the center. The area is a busy one where you can find markets, cafe and public transportation a few steps away. The self check-in is smooth and the room is nice and clean.
There were mosquitoes biting me that kept me awake at night. The hallway and staircase are narrow so if you have big and heavy luggage, it's not convenient to carry them up. The floors are squeaky and you would hear other residents passing by. The wifi was also weak that time and the owner was not very responsive to questions. Thankfully, the other occupants were quiet. If not for the mosquitoes, I would have a peaceful sleep.

Les lieux étaient très propres, équipements nombreux, utiles et fonctionnels. La literie : parfaitement confortable et la décoration soignée. Thé et café à disposition. Rien n'a manqué pour que notre séjour soit confortable et agréable.
J'ai été surprise d'avoir à verser un dépôt de garantie : la location avait été payée sur Booking. A qques jours de l'arrivée : le règlement des taxes de séjours+ un dépôt de garantie m'a été demandé par mail sur compte PayPal... J'ai hésité...
Tout s'est bien passé et le dépôt de garantie m'a été restitué le jour même du départ.

Very clean , beds very comfortable to sleep, well organised.
Closeby there was a concert happening and throughout night someone was knocking the door (obviously not a fault of owner). However this is a area with lots of people not suitable for calmness and sleep

Van 4 - 6 januari hebben wij verbleven in Sint Jans Apartments in Antwerpen en we hebben een aantal klachten over de aanbieder van de accommodatie en de aanbieder ervan.
We hadden van tevoren afgesproken met de host dat we het apartement eerder in mochten om onze bagage alvast neer te zetten, zodat we die niet mee hoefden te nemen de stad in. De afspraak was dat we om 12:00 uur op 4 januari naar binnen mochten, in plaats van de inchecktijd om 15:00 uur. Echter kwamen we aan en stonden we voor een gesloten deur. Toen we contact opnamen met de host vertelde ze dat we nog borg over moesten maken, toen we dat deden kregen we uiteindelijk de code van het sleuteldoosje.
Voordat we de borg overmaakten, hebben we contact opgenomen met Booking.com omdat we bang waren om de €100,00 borg over te maken.
Toen we eindelijk, om zo'n 16:15 uur, naar binnen konden zagen we dat het apartement niet hetzelfde was als wat getoond was op de foto's van de listing op Booking.com. Wij hebben gelijk foto's gemaakt van hoe het apartement eruit zag, deze foto's zijn bijgevoegd in deze mail.
We hebben de host ook vanwege de hierboven genoemde zaken geprobeerd te bereiken, echter nam zij niet op en werden we gelijk doorgestuurd naar de voicemail. Als we met een nummer van iemand belden die haar nog niet eerder had gebeld, werd er wel gelijk opgenomen. Het lijkt erop alsof de host gesprekken van nummers die ze herkende van ons weigerde op te nemen.
In eerste instantie zouden we onze borg op 6 januair jl. terugkrijgen. Dit gebeurde niet en dus namen we contact met haar op. Mevrouw vertelde ons dat we de toeristenbelasting niet hadden betaald en dat dit zou worden ingehouden op onze borg. We hadden de toeristenbelasting al betaald. Nadat we voor de tweede keer een screenshot stuurden van het betaalbewijs, geloofde de host ons. We zouden onze borg op maandag 8 januari terug krijgen.
Wij vertrouwen u erop hiermee voldoende te hebben geïnformeerd.

- Manque de clarté de la part de l'hôte : il vous demande de payer une caution de 100€ via paypal afin de vous donner les instructions pour récuperer les clés
- Il vous demande également de payer une deuxième fois la taxe de séjour de 3€ par jour par personne via paypal alors que booking vous l'a déja facturé sur le prix total.
Pour le prix total, vous trouverez mieux ailleurs. Nous l'avons reservé car c'était un week end de dernière minute et qu'il ne resté plus de choix.

The location is reasonably central. Key pickup was easy. The bathroom was actually very nice. The coffee machine made decent coffee. The stovetop worked well enough. All the kitchen facilities were functional. Most of the apartment was clean.
We booked a "deluxe apartment" and I guess, foolishly, I assumed it would be one of the apartments in the photos, with a nice double bed and cosy furnishings, but apparently not. We got four bunk beds with tiny child-sized duvets and an uncomfortable sofa bed with cushions that smelled like they needed a good clean. The place looked more like hostel dorms I stayed in in my twenties than anything that might be described as "deluxe". Several plates in the kitchen cupboard were dirty, and the kitchen was supplied with a washing up sponge that looked worryingly old and bacteria-ridden. After booking I was notified that I needed to pay a 100€ damage deposit in advance, which is mentioned on the booking.com listing but cleverly placed exactly where nobody will actually see it. The deposit was returned quickly after we left but was still an unpleasant surprise. The walls and floors are very thin in the building and we could hear all the other occupants pretty loudly. There was also an unpleasant smell in the building, though this is probably due to the building's age and not really anybody's fault. There were no lamps to read by, just harsh overhead lighting and a disco light.

Die Lage ist gut, weil man nur 15 Minuten bis zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten geht. Ausserdem hatten wir im obersten Stock eine tolle Innenhof-Terrasse.
Die Wohnung braucht dringend einen Mückenschutz (!!) und im Badezimmer war ab und zu ein seltsamer Geruch - eventuell von den darunterliegenden Wohnungen?
Seltsam ist, dass man eine Kaution hinterlegen muss, die man dann aber rasch und einfach zurücküberwiesen bekommt.

The most glaring issue was the lingering smell in the room. It seemed as if someone had cooked a pungent dish, and the odor had settled in the air, making it quite uncomfortable. The decor was another major letdown, with hideous aesthetics.

€100 deposit was asked a few days before the check in, via bank transfer which is less reliable/assurance compared to debit or credit card. This was not mentioned during the booking, and as the time is near and already paid non-refundable booking fee, you are trapped into paying the deposit after all.
Deposit was returned later than expected and no reply from the host when asked for confirmation.
Was charged late checked out €15 but the host admitted the mistake when I clarified that checked out was before the due time.

Apartment 5 is on 3rd floor, no lift, hence very inconvenient if you have small kids or big luggage.
Apartment 5 has 4 single beds on the upper floor, but not used for the kids as the stairs and the barrier are not safe for small kids.
Leaking shower compartment causing wet toilet floor, and only one toilet mat was available which isn't helping.
The microwave was a bit smelly.

An die Seite an sie kamen wir auch nicht dran.
Ich wurde nie wieder bei ihnen etwas buchen oder sie weiterempfehlen. Weil sie ihre Kunden nicht in Schutz nehmen.
Ich werde eine Klage einreichen , egal was es mich kostet?

Bell'appartamento, pulito e spazioso, c'è anche una terrazza con sedie e tavolino, la cucina è attrezzata di tutto. A piedi siamo a circa 15/20 Min dalla stazione centrale e 20 Min dal centro
Scale strette e ripide, ero al terzo piano e con le valige non è comodo.

All instructions provided for check in were easy to follow, the apartment is well located, with bars/restaurants in the neighbourhood. Everything was in order and space has the necessary facilities/amenities.
There are no windows in the bathroom and no lifter in the building. But for me this was not a problem. Everything was in order and in accordance to what I booked.

We booked this through lastminute.com and needed somewhere to sleep on a short 1 night stopover in Antwerp for my family of four. It wasn't much so we weren't expecting a lot.
The request for a deposit via bank transfer was odd but I didnt question it and paid despite 3 requests even after I paid but then zero communication from the host once they received it. The listing states it had a parking garage and I messaged 3 times and I contacted Olena on the phone about this but no reply. I had to pay to park in the Holiday Inn car park about a 15 min walk away because our car with roof box wouldn't fit in the underground car park across the road and I didn't feel comfortable leaving our car on the street as the area doesn't seem the safest at night.
The apartment has an unpleasant stale smell of industrial cleaner in the entrance hall and the apartment also had a stale smell and didnt feel clean. Doesn't match up to the images on the listing, everything seems tired and looks like its used for stag or hen parties. Poor communication from the host but we did receive the deposit back quickly.

The big problem was that the 100 euro deposit had to be paid into a. iNG bank accpun. I did not have the ING app and in the end we had to meet someone outside the train station to hand over the cash. It was very stressful and time consuming.

2- After creating your reservation through Booking.com, the property requested a €100 deposit via a private message and did not share the check-in details until you sent the deposit. When you contacted Booking.com customer service about this issue, they were also unhelpful, and you were forced to send the deposit. After completing your stay, you had to request the return of the deposit multiple times, and it was only refunded after 1 month. Damage deposit. I had to make inventory of all damages for myself. But I can understand that sometimes different kind of guests arriving. Some things were broken. TV is installed in front of double bed, but You are allowed to use that bed if You pay for two person stay. Not funny...
