The whole site is lovely as are the staff

Need to update the menu on line as it didn’t advertise the change to menu on a Sunday , staff wait tables could have given a little bit more attention to service the three of them looked a little bored , Water pressure not great .

The area was great! Lodges were clean and hot tub was lovely.

We got to the property a couple of hours early but had to wait till dead on 4pm to check in and wait for everyone’s lodge to be ready. Also the saucepans were a little dirty, there was dust in the drinking glasses. Also there was only one toilet roll and was not aloud anymore unless we brought some.

The modern spacious lodge had everything needed for my stay with my family . The three bathrooms were a bonus and the kitchen was fully equipped Loved it

The properties were lovely. Had everything we required, were comfortable and clean. The swimming pool was great. The food in the restaurant was very nice. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately, there was one member of staff in the restaurant who wasn't as friendly as everybody else. He would be quite short with us when he asked for anything, and never cracked a smile. In the property, we did notice a lot of flies and couldn't work out where they were coming from. Also, when we flushed one en-suite toilet, the main toilet would then emit a pongy smell. A bit like a drain blockage smell. We had to shut the doors to stop the smell filling the whole property.

We travelled down to Norfolk to visit our son who serves in the RAF at nearby Marham. Norfolk Woods is located about 15 minutes drive away. We liked the general design of our accommodation and the facilities - especially liked the spacious bathroom. The outside Veranda was large and spacious. That’s about it.

The standard of cleanliness of the Lodge was very, very poor. Due to a water mains leak we had no running water for the first 24 hours of our stay so we were unable to shower after a five hour journey down. There were plastic bags stuffed into the top of the main entry door frame? Why? There was a lot of dust and cobwebs on the shoe/boot storage area outside the main door. The veranda had not been swept or mopped; there was a cigarette butt there - we are non-smokers! The dishwasher was absolutely filthy and smelt awfull! We had to run it empty to give it a clean before we could consider using it. We know times are hard and toilet rolls are expensive but the Lodge was only provided with one, half-used, toilet roll. (We bought our own at the on-site shop). Both of the dishwasher/toilet roll issues were raised with a member of the Norfolk Woods on-site cleaning staff on our first full day there. She indicated that she would raise them with housekeeping in order to resolve both issues. The outcome? Precisely nothing! The bathroom mirror behind the wash hand basin was filthy - we wrote “Clean me” in the dust. There was a beautiful roll top bath with a stand alone tap unit the base of which was absolutely filthy!! We spent the majority of our time away from the site but each evening on our return - as early as 8.00pm, late as midnight - we had to use an out-of-hours code to re-enter the site despite Norfolk Woods using a number plate recognition system to control access. Would we stay at Norfolk Woods again? Sadly, no. At £745 for our stay it was not, in our opinion, value for money.

All lodges so close to one another, no privacy with curtains/ blinds open. No cleaning sprays left/ bin bags etc. When it says self catering, it means everything from washing up liquid to kitchen spray.

Good location

House keeping issues, faulty kitchen tap, leaking shower, decking dirty and unclean.

Lovely lodge, great facilities

The lady doing the massages in the spa did a brilliant job on both me and my partner. We were really impressed! Really went above and beyond. Accommodation was great.

Facilities could of been open longer and coffee shop at bar open before 11. Would of been nice to have had more seating to lounge round on in spa. Restaurant a little pricey.

We didn’t know how to turn the showers down so perhaps instructions might help. The rest of the facilities were excellent.

There wasn’t anything I did not like about the property

The cabin’s decor was beautiful throughout with nice bedrooms and bathrooms/en-suites. Great communication from the resort before and during the stay.

There was Nothing major we didn’t like but a few small things for the price would be they could provide some cleaning product and washing up liquid especially for those staying for a short stay. same with toilet rolls

Brilliant property with all facilities and very clean.

Some people living in the opposite accommodation complained about us being noisy. Where in fact we stayed indoors listened to some music and played some games. People need to relax more when they’re on holiday, we haven’t done any harm. I bet it hurts so bad to be this miserable. The ladies who worn us were very nice and friendly and apologised for having to tell us, they were very understanding and kind.

pictures on booking.com were misleading. they had a picture of a hot tub on. so that’s was a disappointment for the kids. the pictures should be of the actual lodge not showing one better cutlery wasn’t very clean. there was cigarette stubs over the balcony that a previous family must’ve disregarded over the side there was a dead bug squashed on the master bedroom door. that was very big and very obvious it was there. was disgusting that it hadn’t been cleaned up. we found the bar staff to be very rude. they told us to be quiet when we were playing pool. we were stuck playing pool for 2 hours as our room on arrival wasn’t ready. we had 4 kids with us. we weren’t even shouting we were just laughing and having fun. they were miserable and not children friendly. the foreign man on the bar with dark hair took the kids football indoors when it went over the pitch rather than asking the kids playing if they’d lost a ball. the facilities close too early there’s no shop after 5 most days and the pool shuts about that time too.

Lodges and facilities

We really enjoyed the peace and quiet but it was nice to go and have a drink and play some pool at the facility they have on site. Just what we needed to rest and relax. The place we stayed was absolutely lovely. Couldn't fault it. We will definitely be coming back again for a longer stay next time. The staff were also very kind and helpful.

Great location, very clean resort all over. Friendly staff, excellent value for money.

Less supplies - one set of toiletries for 3 bed lodge. No kitchen towels or any cleaning materials - had to buy everything to clean the lodge before checking out.

Spacious accommodation. Large bathrooms. Free electric car charging. Comfy beds. Well equipped lodge with washer/dryer and dishwasher.

Central heating was completely impossible to regulate despite repeated requests for assistance. We ended up switching the boiler off when we didn’t need hot water as the lodge was like a sauna even with the thermostat at 10. No instructions on how to use hob. Very creaky floors!
