Another year and Casa Azul did not disappoint! Such a beautiful home in a spectacular location. We have been coming here for years with our family and it is our favorite vacation of the year.
Allison is an outstanding host, always available to help with whatever needs we may have to make our stay as pleasant as possible.

Our family of 6 adults & 3 kids has stayed here a week each summer for 9 years. We cannot express how much fun we have had & how great this rental is. Now that the kids are getting older (3, 6 and 10), we have outgrown it, or we'd be coming back next year.
In late June, the mornings are overcast and cool - perfect for a bike ride or walk on the nearby Bob Jones Trail, or a morning on the beach with the locals & their dogs ( until 10:00). If it's low tide, you can explore the rocks near the river's entrance to the ocean. Afternoons are warm/hot on the beach, and windy. Waves are ok for boogy boarding. Very few surfers. The low beach incline makes the beach friendlier for smaller kids. Great beach for digging in the sand.
Very good Friday farmer's market with a band and lots of people. Dancing too.
We cook every meal, so the rental expense is more manageable. The kitchen has all we ever needed. BBQ grill works well.
There are several good local restaurants & and several wineries, one of which, "Peloton" is just downstairs.
We park three cars in the garage, but it's very tight. The spaces are for two cars. Elevator access to the unit from the garage, but beach access is down a flight of stairs, unless you walk around the building.
Caveats - the front bedroom gets noise from the restaurant downstairs in the afternoon and until 10:30 at night.

This was our 4th visit to Avila Beach & our 2nd stay in Casa Azul where all future stays will be. The home is beautiful, the location across the street from the beach is perfect, & the manager, Allison, is quick to respond to any questions or concerns. The rooftop is wonderful in the evening as the sun sets as well as in the morning making breakfast. Downstairs, in the house, the large table surrounded by windows was perfect for our card games. The ages of our group were from 5 to 79 and every one of us enjoyed themselves. The TVs were never turned on and never missed.

Cleanest house we have ever rented. Quite luxurious and completely beach appropriate interior. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen fun to cook in. Being right on the boardwalk had us in the beach vibe all during our stay. The host made us feel very welcome and answered any questions we had. We will be renting here again.

We had a lovely few days between Christmas and New Year’s. This is a high end home with a prime location right in the center of Avila beach. We’ve stayed in a lot of vacation homes and this was well furnished with everything we needed. Only problem was an incorrect code for the key lock box which made accessing the property difficult.

Convenient private parking via underground garage.

With our grandchild in mind, appreciated no stairs in the interior, only located outside.
When we had questions the property manager answered them promptly and completely.
We also had the pleasure of meeting the owners who were very gracious.

Avila Beach is a paradise on the Central Coast and Casa Azul makes it that much more fabulous. The location with access to restaurants, shopping and of course the beach makes for a fantastic getaway. This was our third stay and the accommodations are always comfortable, clean and beautiful. Management is very easy to work with. And, to be situated over Blue Moon over Avila was so fun. We started each day to the wafting scents of French onion soup which is the best French onion soup we've all had. With so many other activities so close throughout the central coast, Avila beach and Casa Azul make it hard to leave and go anywhere else during the day.

We chose to stay at Casa Azul because we were attending an event in the area. Our stay at Casa Azul was truly enjoyable. The condo was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The views were incredible, and we also enjoyed the rooftop and the beautiful sunsets. Being within walking distance to all the restaurants was great; we didn't have to drive anywhere for any meals. The flowers and the welcoming sign for our family added a nice touch. Having two parking spots available was very convenient. Thank you for providing us with such a wonderful stay!

Great property to rent. Very convenient location Loved being right across from beach. Farmers market was a lot of fun. Really enjoyed everything being so close and convenient. Only thing was some mornings there was more noise than usual from the surrounding businesses…. And it looked like the roof top deck furniture had not been cleaned. But overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

Fyi, direct beach access is via a full set of stairs, but you can also access the beach by elevator to the garage and then walk around to the beach. Either way you are immediately on the beach, with the restaurants, shops, etc.

The Blue Azul is a unique home that is situated above a restaurant on Avila Beach. The town center is similar to Capitola in Santa Cruz County, but smaller. The street in front of our building is closed to traffic. There are two patios that open up to magnificent views of the ocean. On top of the home is another huge patio w a BBQ and fire pit. Unfortunately, you need to be standing to see the great views because of a sold border fence. The home and top patio have piped-in music available using a smartphone. The kitchen is top-of-the-line if u plan on cooking inside. The bathrooms were great with huge showers. The beds were a little soft for those that are used to harder beds. We had 6 adults and 3 children. We loved eating and sitting in the family area and enjoying the atmosphere. There are nice dining establishments on the beach street. Plenty of dessert shops. There is a great coffee place at the other end of the beach. The whole beachfront walk area is less than 200 yards. As noted in the listing, there is plenty of noise during the day, which lightens up for the evening, The restaurant is noisy with light conversation and music, but it all quiets down at 10 pm. It's a short drive to Pismo Beach or SLO. We will definitely come back.

Casa Azul was a true gem to call home for our vacation stay. Overlooking the promenade over Avila beach, we enjoyed easy access to the shops, restaurants, beach and Friday farmers’ market. The house itself feels very private despite its central location. Private parking and convenient access was very nice as Avila filled up for the weekend. Everyone in our party enjoyed the property very much, including the beautifully appointed rooms, roof top deck, and balconies. Would love to return to Casa Azul- the sooner the better.

My sister and I brought our 81 and 83 year old parents to stay at Casa Azul for a beach getaway. First and foremost...location, location, location! You can't beat it! It's on the boardwalk and in the best spot on Front Street. Secondly, the home had fantastic views, modern amenities and comfortable furniture. It was a charming beach home with balconies facing the ocean and a rooftop as well. Be sure to visit the French Bistro "Blue Moon Over Avila" downstairs. We had the most enjoyable dining experience and the staff was so friendly during our stay. I stay at VRBO's regularly and I would highly recommend Casa Azul. All ages would enjoy this property! With our parents in their eighties, it was ideal because they were perfectly happy at the house able to watch all the action below. We can't wait to return!

My husband & I had looked up and wondered about Casa Azul on our previous visits to Avila Beach. We finally brought family, and the smiles on their faces as they looked around told us they liked it as much as we did. All the rooms were spacious, bright, and clean. The balcony was a wonderful spot to read, listen to music, or people watch and we all enjoyed time sitting out there. The big living room was great for watching TV or putting puzzles together. The rooftop was spectacular—lots of seating, a big BBQ, a fire pit, lounge chairs, and palm trees swaying under a big moon. And for the kid in each of us, a walk across the street puts you on the beach. We had questions about use of the TV and the location of beach towels and Allison’s response was quick, friendly, and helpful. The one recommendation I would make would be to put King beds in the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms—they’re big enough to easily handle it. Otherwise, Casa Azul was pretty much perfection! We loved our stay there!
