The location is excellent for the train station and the City centre. Vas, the host was extremely welcoming and friendly. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I'd highly recommend this host.
It's a shame there is no breakfast option, but there are plenty of local options.

Great place to stay in York, only 10 minutes walk from the city centre. Vas and his wife are lovely and very helpful. Everything is very clean and comfortable. Great value for money as well. We would happily stay here again.

Really good location with a 5-10 min walk into town. There are a few rooms, each has a private lock, our room and bathroom was clean and spacious. Easy to get to and was greeted on arrival and hosts were accommodating.
If the other guests are loud you will hear it as there is not much soundproofing.

Excellent location for visiting York. We parked our car outside of York using JustPark which was convenient then walked to our lodging. Vas’ York House is a short walk from the medieval york walls. Highly recommend this place.

We enjoyed staying at Vas's guesthouse. The hosts are welcoming and helpful. Superb location and everything was spot on. Thank you for hosting us - definitely will come back when in York.

An absolutely fantastic nights stay, they are a wonderful couple who would do anything to make your stay perfect, nothing is too much trouble. We will definitely be staying again and would 100% recommend, thank you!

shower bath is awkward. did not feel the spray would stay inside the partition.

A lovely, clean, comfortable guest house. we were very pleasantly surprised at the quality we got for a very reasonable price. Just a short stroll from the heart of the city. Vas and his wife were very welcoming.

Location, it's very close to the town centre and the train station. Vas and his wife are very nice and talkative. They offered us some fruit and coffee. Room, shared bathroom and toilet are well maintained and clean.
Nothing really, everything was fine. Just note it's a house so there is no lift to go up to the second floor :)
