The house created the perfect back drop and place to stay for us to have a weekend by the ocean! It was wonderful to catch up with friends on the deck or walk down and jump into the ocean steps from the back door before being lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves each evening.

The love of the owner for their house came across from the moment we stepped in. It is a beautiful house that made us feel like we were home. Extremely well appointed, clean, maintained well, and with a lot of supplies and resources for us to enjoy our stay. Each room had a fan (which we needed as it turned unusually warm during our stay). The yards and flower beds are pristine and well maintained. The driveway had ample space for our 6 vehicles. The energy center of the house - the family room and kitchen - are wide open and well furnished, and there are a lot of windows. Due to the great location, we always had a nice and gentle breeze all the time, which made our stay more fun. The bedrooms and bathrooms have good beds and mattresses and pillows. The owner supplied us with adequate linen and bath towels. I have only one caution for those people who may be allergic to musty smells... given the location of the house on the coast, and that it doesn't have air conditioning, there was a bit of musty smell in the air, which bothered a couple of people in our family. In general, we loved our stay there. If we have a reason to stay there again, we'll do so without hesitation. The owner went out of her way to ensure we had no problems, and even proactively informed us about a yard sprinkler repair that was scheduled during our stay, just so that we are not surprised about strangers in the yard. She was extremely responsive and also flexible for some of our asks.

There were nine in our party and it was so much fun picking out our bedrooms! There were enough to choose from with some left over! The over-garage suite was a pleasant surprise; just lovely! The bathrooms were spacious and there were enough towels. The kitchen was fully stocked with all our needs. The refrigerator water/ice dispenser was a welcome touch. There were plenty of left-behind spices for our use which we appreciated. There was no mention on the site about a Keurig, so we were not prepared, but the 14 cup coffee maker was put to good use! We enjoyed the spacious living room, the three-season room (our reading room), and the deck view facing our own private beach was breath-taking. The trail to the beach was rocky at first, but maintenance took care of that in short order. We wouldn't hesitate to return.

We loved this home on Kittery Point. We had a large gathering of 10 family members and this beautiful home was spacious with the local beach steps away. We had planned to cook dinner five out of our seven night stay, and the large, open kitchen did not disappoint. Even the dining table accommodated sitting everyone! We will definitely rent this picturesque home again!

Rented this house for a milestone birthday celebration. The weather did not want to cooperate entirely but still hit nearby outlets, walked and out to dinner in between the raindrops. The beautiful, spacious house actually saved the weekend! We did venture out plenty but quickly realized really no need to even leave at all … fully equipped kitchen for eating in, silly games, sipping coffee or wine with a view. Perfect home for large groups who want to be together for activities, meals but also appreciate each having own space too … plenty of private comfortable bedrooms, bathrooms, sitting spaces. And very clean! Will definitely stay again! Huge thank you to owners for sharing your amazing home!

Love this house! Big enough for the whole family! We stayed during a wild storm and the house was cozy and dry. The views were amazing! KIds did a polar plunge after the storm and started a new tradition. Great kitchen and huge dining table made it easy for our gathering of extended family. Cant wait to return!

This house on Kittery Point is perfect for our family. This was our second stay here in the Christmas season. The bedrooms provide us with a good variety of spaces for the different age groups. We are a family who cooks together and really, really appreciate the amazing collection of cooking pans and tools. Plenty of seating was there for all while we opened presents. We loved having the wood fireplace, and the kids played in the basement to let off steam before dinner. The view of continually changing conditions over the water is delightful. We loved our daily walks on the beach, with all the local dogs and families. It couldn't be better.

We decided on Kittery Maine because Family is so close in this house turned out to be absolutely perfect. We had enough bedrooms to sleep all three families with kids and the view is unbelievably perfect. There are a few things about the house that are dated but that would not persuade us not to rent the house again. We cooked an entire Thanksgiving meal in the kitchen. The double ovens were perfect. We had multiple games of French ping pong and corn hole in the basement fall by long walks on the beach. The adjacent beach is known as "dog Beach", in which we were sure wish we could've brought our own dogs. Beautiful spot everything was perfect

This house has the WOW factor as guests arrived for our gathering. Comfortable and accommodating for our group and we had an amazing kitchen to prepare and serve meals which was amazing. Ocean views from almost every room. Even though it rained on the day of our gathering ~ the house was so nice that it wasn't even a factor. We woke up to a beautiful sunrise ~ no rain and we soaked up the last few moments before heading out.

Checking in was easy. Beautiful setting. We had a problem with the electrcity in the house. Lights were out
in several rooms. Flickering light in hall outside the Primary first floor bedroom. This light has a short circut Towels were so damp we could not use them. Broken lock in the slider - first floor bedroom. Mold in the bathroom tile in first floor bedroom. Sun porch had been cleaned and did not use it. Stoppers in two of the bathrooms did not work. Fixed the one in the first floor bathroom. Shade was ripped in the second floor primary.
We contacted the mgr. when we arrived about the lights and he did send over a person who told us not to put the flicking light on. Light at the top of the back stairway is out. Couch in living should be cleaned. We have been going to Maine for the last 4 years and this was the first time we have written a negative review. I did notify both the owner and the manager before writing this but feel they did not address the issues. No cell phone connections after the first night in the house and as we were only there for three nights just enjoyed Maine.

Family and friends from near (MA) and far (TX) gathered to celebrate my son's Commissioning and Graduation ceremonies last weekend and could not have asked for a better location. This spacious home was perfect for multiple families, accommodated the older generation with a BEAUTIFUL master on the first floor, and WOW what a view! The property manager responded immediately to any questions we had and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. We hope to return again to spend more time exploring this amazing area. Do not miss out on this incredible space! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

A great house to have a 60th birthday family celebration for my wife. The open floor design on the 1st floor made it ideal for the 11 of us to enjoy the weekend. And with 2 master suites, we were able to accommodate the birthday girl in one while paying tribute to her parents with the other. Kitchen well stocked with utensils for the chefs in the family. Property Manager awesome to work with. So much around the area to keep us entertained over the long weekend. We are working on other excuses to celebrate and book another stay in the future.

Wonderful home in ideal location for our annual adult mom/daughter girls weekend celebrating a future daughter-in-law. We enjoyed walks on the beach and the nearby shopping. We had six of us, so plenty of room for each of us to have their own bedroom and sit back, relax and enjoy the spectacular views.

This was a wonderful oceanfront destination for our group's annual getaway. Close to all that Kittery and Portsmouth have to offer--but, truthfully, the house is so comfortable, and the ocean views so magnificent, that we barely left except to walk the beach. Would be a great spot for any gathering of family or friends.

We just spent a week at this lovely home with our extended family of 8 adults and 2 little ones. We loved the location with such easy access to the beautiful beach. The house was spacious and comfortable and the pictures didn’t do it justice. We enjoyed Kittery, York and Ogunquit - all of which were easily accessible, but were also happy to just hang at Thaxter Lane. Thanks.

Stunning Views
We stayed here with family for our sons graduation from UNH. The house was the perfect place to celebrate with family. Loved the first floor open floor plan! The views from the first family room are stunning! So many places for people to gather, relax and enjoy the beautiful Maine coastline. Also loved that there were 2 masters with wonderful views as well as many other sleeping options! The outdoor space was lovely as well. Great lawn leading to you own private path to the beach! This house lived up to and exceeded our expectations.
