We booked this as an extension to our vacation since my wife and I can work some days without being in the office. The house worked well for this with the large dining table and good internet service. The house is cozy but functional. The real star is the location and the views!

This is a gorgeous house on an absolutely stunning harbor. The house is comfortable, light, very clean and well-appointed. There are kayaks for paddling around the harbor. Alitha is incredibly friendly and helpful with local recommendations. The garden is perfect: with a large lawn. pretty flower beds and a spot to sit and look over the water. We can’t wait to return!

Wonderful place to stay in this area! We were here for my daughter's wedding! Great space close to everything we needed for last minute planning and a quiet getaway before the hustle and bustle began! Would stay again!

The townhouse was as described and pictured and a little bit more. It is like the hostess has spent a week here and supplied it with anything you could ever need. From q-tips to an ice chest to fresh flowers. etc.! We enjoyed walking over to the pier for lobster feasts and the skillet scallops. You can also get lobster right there at the co-op. Checking out the little shops in the village is fun. When you drag yourselves away to explore a little more of Maine it is a quick trip up the peninsula to Damriscotta and beyond or down the peninsula to the point. But what we most enjoyed most was sitting out on the lawn and looking out to the harbor.

This is a wonderfully redone house. Both outside and inside are nicely kept and appointed. Plenty of choice on which vantage point you'd choose to observe a quaint working harbor and village. The provided literature gave plenty of ideas of where to eat, and what to visit in the area. However, just sitting and observing the landscape provided plenty of enjoyment.

We had the best long weekend in Maine enjoying this beautiful property and exploring the area. It’s truly become our happy place! The house is so cozy and has everything we needed to be comfortable, even with two littles in tow. Besides enjoying the gorgeous view the highlight is being able to walk to get ice cream and enjoy the small shops and coffee spot in Round Pond!

We had a lovely stay here for a winter long weekend away with our dog. Cozy, clean and equipped with everything we needed!

This property is wonderful! Fantastic view of Round Pond with a beautiful yard ! The photos in the listing are accurate and the owners thought of everything when furnishing it. Highly, highly recommend.

Decent boating--kind of windy one day, rainy the next, but the property was very handy to the boat ramp. we saved an injured seagull one night--hooked on his bill and foot by an old fishing lure. He was pleased. Nice stay.

This is a historic property, but the owner has decorated it to be thoroughly charming and almost every room has the most amazing water view! All appliances, internet are modern. The Village itself is unique and has some shops and places to eat as well as going to the dock for fresh seafood. It is located in close proximity to so many towns & cities you many also want to visit, We highly recommend this property!

Beautiful location but secluded and somewhat remote from grocery store, restaurants, and other typical destinations. Not a problem for us but could be a consideration. Beds were more comfortable than most. Owner was accommodating and easy going. Tiny twisting staircase was somewhat of a challenge for seniors. Otherwise perfectly lovely!!!

We had such a wonderful stay in Round Pond! The view of the harbor and the ability to walk to coffee, lobster, art gallery and penny candy is hard to beat. The house was wonderfully cozy, clean and well-appointed especially the small but very functional kitchen and the extremely comfortable beds. It provided a quiet and tranquil respite in these challenging times and we would absolutely return again!

Location and view are unbeatable. House is absolutely adorable and was a perfect setup for a family with two kids. We loved every minute of our stay. Thank you Alitha for being such a wonderful host. We can’t wait to return!

Lovely, tranquil retreat filled with thoughtful touches, from fresh flowers, to a welcome basket with local goodies, to Maine-made soaps. House had a well stocked kitchen and games and movies to accommodate all age ranges. We appreciated the generator; when the power went out, we were the only place on the cove with lights. Stargazing from the yard, we could see the Milky Way and shooting stars. We were well entertained with the kayaks and swimming in the bay.

Location, location, location! Round Pond is the perfect, quiet, beautiful, scenic place and this rental is an amazing way to take advantage. The house is clean and updated. Beautiful lawn with full view of the cove, water access and tidal pools and kayaks to enjoy, and short walking distance to the BYOB lobster shack. Amazing.

I was fortunate to be able to stay here for several days, during an online conference. The home and grounds were just as described, and I felt very fortunate to be there. Thank you Alitha for such a wonderful time. The home was so well equipped and had everything I could have possibly needed. It was very clean. The wifi signal was strong and never faltered. And of course the location is amazing! Waking to the sound of gulls, seeing herons on the rocks out front, boats coming in and out, were so special. Thank you very much!

A lovely beautifully decorated townhome on a private point in the harbor. The kitchen was well furnished and both bathrooms were clean and updated. The queen bed in the master was great. The other two beds were good, though the mattress would have been a little to bouncy for me, but we’re not an issue for the kids. If you have difficulty with stairs be cautious as they are steep, but sturdy. The outside is also wonderful with a nice patio area covered with a sunshade as well as a couple other chairs in the massive lawn over looking the harbor. We took the kayaks out twice and it was so calm. We were the only ones out in the water. There are stairs down to a small rock beach which was great. The restaurants in town were not opened yet so we did not have a chance to try them, but the general store was a fun stop. Both hosts were responsive and very friendly. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

She had chocolates and fresh flowers awaiting us, which was so thoughtful.The setting is extremely peaceful with the water, and the location is great. We had excellent meals out, and had everything we needed to cook in as well.I looked at a lot of places and am so glad we chose this one! Would love to come back.

My husband, our 14yo son, and I just spent a wonderful week here. The townhouse itself is small but thoughtfully and beautifully outfitted--the colors in the two bedrooms are bright and joyful. Alitha always responded to questions and requests quickly. And the property, wow! We had breakfast on the patio while watching the boats in the harbor most mornings, and kayaked around the harbor several times. My son loved that he could walk to the Granite Hall store for candy or ice cream. The location was ideal, private but still close to the small businesses in Round Pond--and only 15 minutes to Damariscotta, with a large supermarket and drug store and numerous restaurants. We left already hoping we'll come back next summer.

This is a charming house, very thoughtfully decorated, with a gorgeous view over Round Pond. All the rooms look over the water. Very comfortable and well equipped and Alitha was extremely helpful and friendly. The village is lovely - great ice cream/candy store, delicious lobster and fish. We will definitely be back!

We had an amazing time at this perfectly located house. Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The backyard access to the water was very convenient. We'll be back next year.

We just spent an amazing week with our 4 and 6 year old kids at this property. The townhouse was beautiful and the perfect size for us and the location was just gorgeous. We loved waking up seeing the boats in the morning and the kids had the best time on the rocks and playing in the water. Alitha was a SUPERB host and we were so well taken care of. We will definitely be back someday!

I have been going to a roughly 100 year old summer cottage owned by one of my college fraternity brothers on the northern point of the harbor since 1971. This year due to increasing demands of an increasing family for limited summer weeks they decided not to rent the cottage out. I was delighted to find Alitha's property on Molly's Cove Rd. We rented it for 9 days, from a Friday through the following Sunday which was a welcome change from the usual Saturday to Saturday rentals of most other properties. If you have ever driven Coastal US 1 from the Maine Turnpike to the Damariscotta Peninsula you will appreciate being able to drive through Wiscasset without the normal up to 1 hour delay caused by the Saturday to Saturday renters. The cottage on the point has been maintained to preserve the rustic charm of the turn of last century. Alitha's property was a welcome change, completely remodeled about 3 years ago, while retaining some of the original elements of her grandparents' house. Everything promised on the website was delivered. It was walk-in ready, just unpack luggage and unload the groceries. What a change to have a dishwasher and washer and dryer. No more doing dishes by hand and trips to the Elm Street Laundromat. The kitchen was fully stocked with tools, eating utensils and pots and pans. Even a pot big enough for me to make my traditional 2 gallons of fish, clam, mussel chowder. All linens and towels were provided. It was like checking into a first class motel. We were greeted with a vase of fresh flowers and a basket of candy and two jars of local gourmet preserves. The spacious yard was great for our 2 and a half year old granddaughter to play and also just sit in one of the lawn chairs and read a book. It was a little chilly in mid-September, so we didn't take advantage of the kayaks. Maybe next year if we get back in warmer weather. Alitha and her husband Jim were very welcoming, available to answer any questions, but were very unobtrusive. I wasn't sure what it was going to be like living next door to the landlord, but we hardly knew they were there. The harbor view was fantastic, even though 180 degrees reversed from our normal perspective. Another advantage to the property over the cottage was a shorter walk to King Ro Market in the morning for the paper and Monday evening concert, the wharf for fresh lobster and crab, the Round Pond Shoppe for brass figurines, the Coffee Shop for lunch and Granite Hall for penny candy, etc.

While Round Pond has been our happy place since 1994, this was our first stay at Shore Acre. The townhouse is clean, bright, and inviting. The harbor views, expansive lawn, and private swimming beach have no equal. Its location is the best for easy walks to village amenities. We were grateful for the bright, bedside lights. The WiFi works great and the cable TV even carried NESN for Red Sox viewing. Yes, even on vacation we like our sports! Thanks for a great place to rest, rejuvenate, and get our Maine seafood fix. We highly recommend Shore Acre Townhouse.

This rental experience was just what I needed. I was already familiar with the area, but the property owner and the property itself provide the highest levels of beauty, peace, hospitality, comfort, .... I could go on, but I think you get the point ! Thank you, A. Y. :-)
