Enjoyed the peace & quiet of the area. The cabin sits at the top of a mountain overlooking a lake. Keep in mind after turning off "Main St " the house is on a single lane non paved road. If another vehicle approaches some one will need to back up. A big plus is the bar/restaurant (with great inexpensive food ) walking distance from the dwelling. Owners were very responsive.

Had a fun/relaxed weekend at Robb’s cabin for my sisters bachelorette. Beautiful view off of the back deck, beds were a little stiff though.

We had a wonderful time at Ava's on Lake Desolation! The cabin has a wonderful location, right on the lake, with the most beautiful view! Our stay was so incredibly relaxing! This was our second time staying at Ava's and it won't be our last!

My friends and I (4 total) went for a bachelor party and I would 1,000% recommend Ava's cabin! Not far from our experience at "Adirondack adventure center", Saratoga Springs Racetrack or (my favorite place in the entire world) Lake George. The cabin was amazing and spacious! The downstairs room (queen bed) had plenty of floor and dresser space for a girl who packs entirely way too much stuff! Lol. There are 2 living room areas and the bathroom was a perfect size as well. The outside space is so much nicer and roomier than depicted. GORGEOUS VIEWS! AMAZING SUNRISES AND SUNSETS! The house and lake itself are off the beating path but close enough to things that you weren't in the middle of no where. Cell phone service was mostly working fine. The AC and fans were enough to cool the downstairs. Hope this helped!

Enjoy a quick get away with our young adult kids. Relaxing get away with kayaking and paddle boards ( we brought the paddle boards). Love the peaceful lake. Nature watching- salamanders, fish, blue heron.

Cute cottage on the Lake with beautiful views. We enjoyed our stay. Quests should plan or be aware restaurants nearby not open Monday and Tuesday so plan accordingly. Also plumbing so sensitive there is a porta potty on the property.

My family and I spent five nights at Robb's property and had a wonderful time. Our dog was welcome as well which made the trip that much more special. We spent our time paddle boarding and canoeing on the lake and taking day trips to fun hiking spots around Lake George. The house is situated right on the lake giving you easy access to a quick swim or paddle any time of day. The house itself needs a little love but we felt very comfortable. The neighbors were great! Thank you, RobB!

We had a great relaxing stay! It was an amazing time away from work and chores! We took the canoe out to the island and saw some beautiful fall leaves. We traveled with our 11 mo old and there was no problem there either! Robb was great and we loved the pictures of the dog all over the cabin

we had a great getaway visit. the lake was beautiful and the cabin was very cozy with great views. we were close to Saratoga and some good hiking trails. Overall a great relaxing weekend!

Cabin located right on the lake. The inside is cute and tidy. Kitchen well equipped, mattress comfortable and bathroom modern. The lake is a gem - clean, refreshing water perfect for swimming and boat rides. Peaceful - only a few motor boats, lots of distance swimmers. Only compliant is late afternoon/ early evenings are very hot and there is little to no shade (highs were in the 80-90s). Air conditioner in kitchen is helpful while making dinner . Overall a relaxing get away!

We had a fabulous relaxing time at out stay at Ava's Cottage. The place is so cute and right on lake desolation. Loved that there were kayaks and canoes to use. The cottage is very comfortable, super clean, rustic with charm. Although a quick getway, it was relaxing and peaceful and we would HIGHLY RECOMMEND 🥰�

Everything we wanted in a lake cabin getaway. Cabin is waterfront with kayaks and canoes provided with the property. We spent all day swimming, rowing, and lounging around in the sun. We spent the nights hanging around the fire pit and looking up at the stars. Perfect break from the city. We'd definitely love to come back in the future, highly recommended.
