My family (along with parents), enjoyed 5 nights at the home. It was large enough for everyone to have their own space. Everything you may need is in the home. Having the boat to use was a nice bonus, along with the floating lake toys. We were literally there to live on the lake as much as possible - fish, float, sun and relax.

All information in listing was accurate. Home was very well stocked and perfectly clean. The owner and neighbor were both very helpful in answering questions. I would highly recommend this property. The only caution is that most of the parking requires crossing the road, and cars tend to travel too fast along this road.

The house was airy with cool lake colors and lots of family feel. All of our needs were seen to and the manager of the property was friendly and so helpful. It was cool whilst we were there but roasted hot dogs, made s’mores, kids caught all kinds of small fish, and grams here just sat back and enjoyed watching my family experience the Michigan experience I was raised in.
Back to Texas with good fun memories.

We had a wonderful family time enjoying the lake! Loved the slow pace and quiet lake. Had plenty of room for all of us and the stocked kitchen gave us the opportunity to cook or eat out. I especially appreciated the extra fridge. Neighbor was friendly and quite helpful with questions we had. We'll be back!

Loving the Lake Life
I wish that I owned a house like this! I would spend every available moment watching the water or cruising around the lake in the pontoon boat. The house was immaculate when we arrived. Everything was exactly as the listing showed. We had a great week at the lake house with our family. We may be back again!

A TRADITION IN THE MAKING?
It was our first attempt at a 5 day vacation with all the grown children and the grandchildren.14-16 in all, from 6mos. To 40yrs.
Finding a place, not a hotel, was proving to be hard. Until I seen the cottage on Ackerson Lake.
This lake cottage ended up being exactly what we needed.
The place was just as it looked, homey and spaceous. The water access was easy and parking was simple. The neighbors were kind and helpful. Even the weather cooperated for us!

Great end to the summer
This place was just as advertised, and better . Fun and peaceful all at the same time. My 4 teenagers loved it as well as my mom,dad aunt who visited. The caretaker was next door were very welcoming and helpful. Owner was very gracious and pleasant as well. This property is a true diamond. The people involved with it make it that way.

Great owner and great location
The cottage was pristine when we arrived and Dave made every effort to make us feel as if we owned the cottage ourselves for the week. Every detail listed in the description was fulfilled and more. There were some comments from previous renters that the pontoon boat was in rough shape. It was, which Dave acknowledged when we arrived, but as an add-on to our rental (at no additional fee) it was a huge benefit for our stay. The pontoon ran great and our family had a great time taking rides. As a long-time renter of cottage properties this exceeded my expectations by far.

Wonderful experience
Cabin was super cute and very clean. They supplied everything you could possibly need for a wonderful experience! We had plenty of room for a large family trip. Neighbor extremely helpful. Lake had sandy bottom and very refreshing on the hot summer days. Would definitely recommend it!!

My wife and I rented this home and found it to be quite relaxing and quiet. The home was updated recently and was beautiful. The neighbors were very friendly and helpful and answered any questions we had. We would certainly go back.

Had a great time at the lake house. It was fun for the grandchildren swimming. It was great fishing also. It was a big plus for us to be able to use the pontoon boat. Dina next door was great about everything. Looking forward to renting next year.

Perfect summer getaway
This was the perfect summer getaway for our family! Dave was super nice and easy to work with. The home was the cutest cottage that was recently updated. Plenty of room and fully stocked with everything you could need. We enjoyed swimming and fishing off the dock and the boat. Lake was super clean and warm which was a nice change from our trips to Lake Michigan where it can be cold at times! We will definitely be back!

Lived our best lake life
We had a great time at this house. Two picnic tables, fire pit for s’mores, music, and stories. Plenty of space at the dinning room table for a group of 6-8 to play some cards late in the evening (or was it early in the morning?).
The small town of Brooklyn had some great shops to visit and the Cascade Falls are pretty neat to see (the cool light show started at 10pm the night we visited). Also there is a very nice putt putt golf course in Jackson.
The boat is a little rough, but more than perfect for the price we paid. The ceilings in the kitchen, dinning room, living room are low so I would not recommend this house for anyone over 6’4”, but since our group maxed out at 6’3” it was perfect!

Bad weather but still had loads of fun
Found plenty to do when the rain came some even went swimming in the rain. The cottage had plenty of room to do things other than fish and swim. Neighbors where very helpful and pleasant

Loved everything about this rental experience. Dave is a wonderful host and great about communicating about any questions. The property was recently updated and perfect for our blended group of two families. The kids loved going out on the boat and spotting all of the fish and turtles. I would love to stay here again!

Great spot on quiet lake
We had a wonderful week on this small, quiet lake. It was great for the 7 young kids that were all just starting to try water activities. Lake was clear and sandy bottom, some weeds as you get further out, but perfect for swimming all day...which we did! Owners were wonderful to work with and quick to respond, always friendly. A few issues with the boat, but no major mishaps. Neighbors were friendly and helpful as well. Fantastic trip.

Great summer getaway
The cottage was a great place for our family group of 12. It was really clean, the neighbors were friendly and so helpful, the owner answered my question quickly. We enjoyed the pontoon boat and the paddle boat. The kids enjoyed fishing off of the dock and paddle boat. A great vacation. We hope to return next year. Thanks

Just like Grandma’s house!
We really enjoyed our stay. The home had speckled counter tops and older furniture and decor-making it feel cozy and comfortable like visiting grandmas house. 5 bedrooms was unheard of for us, the kids were excited to have their own room! The use of the pontoon boat was a super fun bonus that we thoroughly enjoyed each day. The lake is small, manageable, shallow, and warm-perfect for us. The house is well equipped with anything you might need and the owners were the most responsive, friendly, and on the ball of any VRBO rental we’ve had. Thumbs up!

Mathew and Dave were amazing to deal with when renting this property. The cottage was great and had more than enough room for our combined families of 12. The description was nothing less than what is posted. The lake was clear and clean which was a huge plus. Everyone enjoyed the time with the different things they offered such as paddle boat, rafts and pontoons. The area was great and nothing was too far for us to go grab (wood, groceries, etc), we even found a night to go to a local bar that had Trivia😊. We will definitely rent from them again! They were a pleasure to deal with and the cottage was great!

Beautiful lake for family getaway
This is our 2nd year of staying at this cottage and the lake did not disappoint. The swimming area is sandy and shallow for the younger kids. The neighbors are friendly and you have to check out Klavons for pizza. The cottage is dated with older, well used furniture and sadly, the boat was missing its bimini top and the seats and carpet were torn up. The AC, laundry, and wifi are a huge plus. Overall, great lake and nice cottage that could be made even better with some updates.

Great Family Time
We did a split family vacation for the first two days my two daughters and family stayed and the balance of the week, my wife's two sons and family stayed. The location was perfect, and the five bedrooms made the stay enjoyable and the cottage seemed bigger than it was. The bath and a half worked out better than we thought. The washer, dryer, fire pit, and two refrigerators was a definite plus. The beach area was perfect for the kids who ages ranged from 4 to 17. Having the use of the pontoon boat was great even though the fish weren't biting, but cruising the lake and using it for swimming made it so enjoyable for all of us. The cottage is comfortable, clean and well stocked. The furnishings and décor took us back to the 60's. Firewood, a grocery store, Klevans Restaurant and two ice cream shops were all a short driving distance away. We would consider another stay in the future.
