The staff was absolutely amazing and taking care of us. The Hostel is in the centre of Santa Elena and has an easy way to everything you need (Supermarkets,Restaurants, etc.).

We had some trouble with several insects and the door to the shower was hard to open.

Location was good, right in the centre. Staff was very helpful and nice!

We did not actually stay in the hotel, but where transferred to their sister location (as apparently renovation works were happening). A bit strange to start with since we only booked a couple of days before and they surely knew about it. But people were friendly and we enjoyed our stay anyway, even if a bit farer away. Could not pay with card, since they would have to add some extra taxes then (?). Would be great to have some sort of seating area for us to have breakfast. We could sometimes use their breakfast room, but only when someone was at the property - we were mostly the only guests, so quite often the doors were locked.

Staff was really friendly and helpful, it really is a family business. Location is in walking distance to all important things in santa elena. Balcony and social area is good.

There are dorm beds in the actual kitchen/ walking through area without doors. Kitchen and bathroom could have been cleaner. Our room had no natural light/window. It's overpriced for what you get.

The window in our room was bricked up. Lots of load music at night. No breakfast. Had to pay for a key and towel.

The staff is really friendly and helpful. The place is very familiar and make you feel like at home. They help me a lot with the reservation of activities and transportation, and they provide useful information so you can make your own decision. It was very nice talking to Andres and his family. She helped us with information and booking stuff. She got us an extra blanket for the night. can’t say anything about the original booked accommodation since got moved

The stay got a strange beginning after we got a whatsup message saying she Had booked us on another of her family’s accommodations and got a Facebook link to the hostel. The new place were far from town (since it is quite hilly in the area) and not even a question if that was ok for us. We have been rebooked on other stays before but then it always have been a formal request through bookings system. Only when asking we got an explanation to why we got moved and got some more information which to be honest I don’t believe. Felt like they used one accommodation to fill the families other accommodations. And we never got so much as a sorry for the uncovenience. Well at the new accommodation (mountain faro) she helped with some things but didn’t felt genuine. We needed to take out the trash and ask for new trash bags more than once.

Family Hostel was really good place to live, clean spacious and homey. It's located near the town center about 2 minutes walking. The staff(owner) was very nice and helpful. He told me everything like food tour and transportation. I strongly recommend the next guests attend some tours through family hostel because the owner will give you a lower price than those travel agencies in the town center. Trust me！Anyway, thank you for hosting me and hope the owner and guests have a great time in Santa Elena.

If provide a clean quilt sheet or cover, that could be better.

Very friendly helpful staff.Good wifi.Great price.Perfect location.It's a new hostel and they still have improvements to make but a great start.

Nothing really...maybe I would prefer a key so when nobody's around I could come & go.But I suppose as they get busier they will be open all the time...
