Very nice home that was super close to the beach. The beach was almost empty all 3 days of our stay. The home was very well stocked with everything except toilet paper (which was no biggie :). We loved it and will definitely stay again. OH yes, and the property manager allowed a late check out which was amazing!

I could hear the seals barking the moment I arrived. This house is one block from the beach. I didn’t get a chance to use all of the equipment in the garage, bikes, kayaks, boogie boards, games, etc. the focus of this trip was to go explore the Channel Islands. The location was very convenient to get to the ferry dock in Ventura. There were also some really good restaurants near by. There were three bedrooms which gave us plenty of room for 6 of us.

Wonderful location with accommodations to match! Great vibe - lots of indoor and outdoor space. Neighbors were awesome too. About 1/2 block to the most incredible beach. We will be back! Thanks Sandra

The location is awesome, bedrooms nice and comfortable. The built in microwave and oven were not clean, unable to use them there was a counter top microwave that was clean and working. Overall it was a very pleasant stay.

This property was spacious and clean with lots of outdoor space and a view that cant be beat. The kitchen was well appointed and the property offered lots of amenities. And only steps to the sand. Highly recommend

This efficiently organized and well-supplied property suited our 3-generation family perfectly. The house is a half block away from the beach, which made it easy to go as often as we liked, while it prevented the little ones from going astray. The wrap-around deck on the upstairs level gave us a perfect place for ocean-watching, eating meals, and "chilling" together. The fenced in yard on the downstairs level gave us a cozy sitting and play area. The family voted unanimously to return to this house the next time we meet in Oxnard.

We had a great time staying here with our daughter and her friends! We loved how close it was to the beach, and the bikes we could use. The place had lots of room and the beds were comfortable.

This was a cozy little beach house. We were able to walk to the beach which my boys loved (their first time on the West Coast). The reason we stayed there was to go to the Channel Islands but that was unfortunately canceled on us due to weather so we will be back another time. The bedrooms had plenty of space, but it was a bit tight for 6 people in the living/dining/kitchen area upstairs. As others mentioned, the skylight was leaking onto the master bed, but it was condensation, not leaking rain from outside. The only reason I took it down a star for cleanliness was also the overall mildewy smell in the house that was setting off my husband's allergies while we were trying to sleep. When we got there all of the bedrooms were closed up so we opened them right away to try to help with that. Communication was great, though, as when I asked the owner about something we thought we saw in the listing that wasn't there, she immediately called me, talked me through, and offered suggestions of places to take the kids since our original plans were changed.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Would have been much better if the weather would have cooperated. Cold & rainy. Our only complaint is that the furnace didn't heat the master suite very well.

This wonderful beach home delivered in every way: * Gorgeous beach/sunset view from the balcony * Clean, bright, well-cared for home. Clean fresh bedding and towels. * Perfect location - beach access, walking distance to local harbors and local restaurants, easy drive to grocery/convenience stores and restaurants in Oxnard and Ventura * Clear instructions about check-in, check-out, entry, etc The owner Sandy is very responsive and communicative when needed. She gave a heads up about roof repair work during our stay. We wished we could have enjoyed the balcony space more - we happened to visit during coastal flooding (which led to incredible wave heights which were fun to see from a safe distance), so we adjusted plans and drove inland daily which meant we mostly used the house for sleeping. The upstairs balcony door lock was tricky (but we never felt unsafe leaving it unlocked). This is a very quiet community (probably especially so during the holidays), so it was just right for some rest and relaxation!

Our family had a wonderful holiday stay for Christmas. The sunsets from the outdoor deck were breathtaking and our kids loved the beach theme throughout the home. Thank you!

This was one of my favorite homes! The location to the beach was right down the road and the view from the beautiful deck was so relaxing. The neighborhood was quiet and it was so nice to stay somewhere with little or no traffic! The beds were very comfy and house was so clean. Communication with the host was great. Can’t wait to come back!

This house is very close to the beach, you can hear and see the waves from the family room and deck. It's decorated perfectly for a beach house.

Terrific house 1 minute from the beach in a tranquil Oxnard neighborhood. Beautiful ocean and sunset views from the upstairs deck with comfortable couches and a variety of seating inside and out. Great working kitchen, spacious master suite plus two more bedrooms. Beach toys and bikes! Owner Sandra was extremely responsive and helpful. We really appreciated having this lovely home as our base during our son’s hectic (and beautiful) wedding weekend.

Great family home with everything you need. 1 block to the beach with easy access. Sea Lions down the street. Check out the Farmer’s Market on Sundays. Definitely would stay here again!

Great stay. A couple blocks from the beach! We loved the large deck. Only a 15 minute drive to get the Channel Islands ferry.

Good time

This home is charming, decorated with an artist's touch, stunning staircase, wonderful outside gatherings areas......however it's lacking proper care, certainly a better cleaning crew. Sheets were wadded up and shoved in closet cubby holes, couch cushions had all kinds of crumbs beneath them, kitchen cupboards unorganized....if you pay attention to details, think twice.

Came down for the Throw Down. Loved the house. Just a short walk from the beach. Sunsets were amazing. Beds were comfy. We truly enjoyed our stay. If we come back we would bring the kids. Very kid friendly.

Happy Place Beach House was our happy place. The location is perfect. The street is so quiet. The beds were comfortable. The deck was big and allowed everyone to be together. The home also has bicycles and kyaks which gave us more fun. Just a perfect place for a beach vacation.

We loved everything about Sandra’s Beach House!! The upstairs deck was perfect for Al Fresco dinning!! And enjoying the sunsets! The gourmet kitchen was amazing! Quite large and a nice view of the ocean! It was very well supplied with everything you need for cooking meals. The bedrooms were roomy and very comfortable. We plan on coming back to this Beach House next summer and hopefully for many years to come!

We had a great time. The location is excellent and the deck was lovely.

Lovely property. I will book more nights next time. Plenty of space for you and your family. Lots of amenities. Kayaks and bicycles for your use. Plenty of extra towels and blankets; there was even a playpen in the closet! Small, fenced yard with artificial terf was perfect for my two little dogs. The only odd feature is no living room, but there's a tv in every bedroom, as well as in the kitchen. There is plenty of seating in both the master bedroom and in the kitchen, as well as the backyard and upstairs patio for sitting with your guests. I'll be back!

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely beach house for the Fourth of July holiday. Sandra’s place exceeded our expectations. The house was super clean, nicely decorated in the beachy theme and had absolutely everything we could need. And the kitchen was huge and so nice. My family and a couple of friends had plenty of room to hang out, relax and enjoy. Others mentioned the lack of seating in the family room, so we brought an extra camp chair and it worked out fine for us. The place is spacious so we never felt crowded. A beautiful white sand beach is less than a 2 minute walk. You have a view of the beach from the upper deck and can even watch sailboats pass by. It was a perfect birthday celebration! I’m so glad we chose this place. Thank you Sandra for being a terrific host! Highly recommend this awesome Happy Place!

Great location away from the crowds. House and beds were dated, but clean. View and location were as advertised, great.

We really enjoyed our stay. Sandra had everything set up so nicely and the house decor is really attractive. Amenities and supplies were great, with most everything one needs for a day on the beautiful, expansive, uncrowded and quiet Oxnard beach a block away. We would like to come back sometime.

This was the perfect spot for a short beach weekend with our kids and their grandparents! The walk to the beach was short and the garage was full of beach activities to enjoy!
