Really wonderful stay. The kitchen was stocked with enough equipment and dishes to help us cook some great meals. There was more than enough space for all 6 of us to rest and spend time together. So close to the beach. Really easy check in and out process. And also a bonus was the fun toys that helped to entertain our 2yo!

My husband and I came to Oxnard to attend our son-in-law's sister's wedding. We had rented in this neighborhood before. It is a quiet area with easy access to the beach and amenities. The house was even larger than I expected, both inside and out. Lots of areas to relax. It well set up for adults and kids alike. The grandsons played with the toys and games. One of the best features is the outdoor shower for washing off sand. We would definitely stay here again!

This was our second time at Donovan & Gretchen’s place. We love how close it is to the beach (half a block); in a quiet, secluded area; all amenities you may need; clean, easy communication; a wonderful getaway! We hope to be back soon.

Super close to the beach, lots of indoor and outdoor space, everything was clean and great!

This home was everything we could ask for on our family stay. Everything from the outdoor fire pit to the bikes and beach toys were perfect. Spacious seating outside with the BBQ, Whale Watching in the Channel Islands is highly recommended (get the Groupon). The dock is only a two minute drive from the home. Great communication with the Hosts as well.

I really enjoy staying at the Silver Strand beach house. Not only is the beach steps away everything in close by. Restaurants, grocery stores, the harbor, and many other places. Never is there traffic in Oxnard. It is a safe, quiet town for those who want to relax.

This was our first stay at a Vrbo and we were so happy we stayed here! It had such a nice atmosphere. The inside was larger than it appeared in the photos and the outside was perfect to relax and enjoy the lovely fire-pit. And of course, the beach is right down the street. It was a perfect place to spend time with our family. We would highly recommend staying here. Donovan & Gretchen respond very quickly & we had not one problem at all.

The house is on a great location. The house is close by the beach but also very safe. The house has enough rooms for you to have family gatherings or alone time for yourself. We used the fire pit every night to recoup from our fun days at the beach.

Our family ages 7-62 had the most wonderful time at Aloha Hueneme. We will most definitely be staying again. Oxnard is a great little community, friendly neighbors and the beach is a just a block away. Thank you so much for opening up your home for us travelers hope to stay even longer next year.

This is a very cute beach home, and bigger than I expected. The pictures really don't do it justice. If you are looking to spend much of your time at the beach, this is a perfect location - and comes with beach chairs, toys, body boards, surf boards... everything you might need. The house has a beautiful, well-stocked kitchen that, again, has everything you might need. We had chilly weather (and some rain) during our trip, so only spent one day at the beach - but the property ended up being a good location for day trips. One day we drove up to Los Olivos and Solvang, ending up in Santa Barbara for dinner. (We initially set the GPS for Neverland Ranch, and then just kept driving. There are paved, back-country roads with gorgeous scenery - you can go 15 minutes and then turn around, or probably drive for hours.) Highly recommend this drive. Another day we drove to Laguna Beach, which is further away - but we hadn't been there before and my family thought it was worth the drive. We had already hit the Hollywood tourist spots before arriving in Oxford, but that would also be an easy drive from the house. I would definitely rent this property again. We were not able to go to the Channel Islands (due to closures related to the Coronavirus), so hope to be back someday!

This was our third time at silver strand but our first time in this house. This house far exceeded our expectations. It was more than well-equipped with all the stuff you could possibly need for the beach and a kitchen with all the necessary appliances and pots, pans and dishes. The yard is fabulous for entertaining or just hanging out. Our dog was very happy. We're planning to stay here again next year.

This is our 2nd three week stay, and when we open the door, it feels just like home!! The beach theme is great and we loved being just footsteps from the beach. The owners are terrific people!!

We had been traveling for 8 days and when we got to Aloha Hueneme it was like coming home. Beautiful property and easy access to the beach. We will definitely stay there again if and when we get back to California.

Everything you need is provided. We spent three nights and used the ktchen to prepare meals daily. The garage had enough chairs, boards, bikes etc for the whole family. Outside was a little dusty but overall very clean. Quiet neighborhood and the best part is the beach is very private! Most relaxed vacation I have had in years.

This was not our first time staying at Aloha Hueneme. Our visit was perfect. Donovan and Gretchen have a home that truly makes you feel at home from the moment you enter the gate. Everything you need is provided. It's right at the beach. Perfect!!

Our group of 5 had a wonderful stay. House and property are well cared for and in excellent condition. We spent days at the beach (which we had to ourselves) and evenings preparing dinner and relaxing at the house. Oxnard is a quiet beach town with a very laid back vibe. Perfect for an escape from everyday life. Donovan was very responsive. I'd definitely stay here again.

The place was great!! We had bad weather, but we had all the toys, surf boards, and bikes we needed to make our trip a success. Just a block away from the beach and we were surfing.

We loved our stay at this lovely Silver Strand rental. The property is well maintained, roomy enough to spread out, every amenity well thought out, and lots of activities available (books, board games, DVDs, surfboards, boogie boards, bikes, bbq, and did I mention the beach is a short block away?). You won’t be disappointed. We’re already looking forward to our next visit.
