We had a wonderful time this weekend. The house is older and could use a deep cleaning and minor cosmetic repairs but we enjoyed our stay. The queen bed on the main floor could definitely use a new mattress due t

We had a fantastic time staying here. The house is huge and comfortable. It accommodated our large group with no problem. Plenty of bathrooms and a large kitchen. The yard was nice and had plenty of amenities such kayaks and a fire pit.

We had an awesome time at our time on Lake Gaston! Once we figured out the shallow cove issues with our boat, all was well. House has lots of space, big kitchen, and one of the best views! An easy boat road to Shady Shack for dinner. And owner was amazing!!

Our family gathered at Lake Escape for my husband's 80th birthday. Everyone had their own space inside with lots to do outside. The view of the lake is amazing and having access to kayaks and inner tubes enhanced the experience for all. Inside we had a ping pong table as well as 2 living rooms and 2 kitchens. We all had a fabulous time.

We had our family reunion trip and spent a week in this property. We loved the lake house and the lot of space for cooking and dining. We did have fun time to enjoy water activities and family gathering.
Just few negative things:
We found several cockroaches in the house - killed at least 2 inside the capital suite room and 1 in the patio. The mattress quality isn’t that good in general and my family members had to use the air mattresses to sleep on the floor instead.

From check-in to check-out, the house exceeded our expectations. Check-in process was simple and all needed information was easily found in the information binder.
All amenities advertised were available and in working condition. Lots of cooking resources, dishes, etc.
We added the linen package at the last minute and our request was easily accommodated.
This house was a joy and made our family vacation a week to remember.

Our Ladies Bible study group has stayed each year at Lake Escape for our winter retreat. We love this beautiful setting! The home is full of natural light, spacious and cozy providing a wonderful place for our group-15 ladies this year. The two living rooms and several decks provide great places to be inspired. We highly recommend it!

This was a Girl’s Weekend where we just wanted to unwind and enjoy each other’s company. Age range was 16 - 76 and we were able to entertain everyone due to space. Everyone was amazed by the space we had because we were able to be together and separate all at the same time. The morning view was awesome having the opportunity to see the sunrise from the living room. Kitchen was stocked with everything and we cooked, lol.
Faith is an excellent host and very responsive. She answered all of my questions and was gracious enough to geive us some extra time upon check-out. I would definitely book with her again!

My family of six met my two sisters and their families to spend the holidays together. The set up of the house and configuration of the bedrooms/ bathrooms worked really well for us! The kitchen was well stocked, the game room, books, games -- everything we needed for a fun family time even in the cold weather. We also enjoyed the beautiful view every day! Really enjoyed our time together here!

My family consisted of cousins and all girls. There were 18 of us. Aged 73 as the oldest and 11 as the youngest. We had a great time! A GREAT TIME! We visited the very very close and beautiful Winery just 10 minutes away. Beautiful is an understatement. We had a lot of activities planned for our stay and we did them all, including having a private chef catered dinner on one of our nights and the home accommodated all beautifully.
We’re thinking of coming back for thanksgiving.
And Faith! Well she was EVERYTHING! Just a great host from the time I knew we were gonna book until we left. Thank you Thank you Thank you.

Three families travel every year to the lake. 6 adults and 8 kids. There was plenty of space everywhere! Kitchen, living, play area, bedrooms, outdoor porches and lawn. We very much enjoyed our stay. The only reason for a 4 star overall review is because we couldn’t jump off the dock into the lake. There are a lot of stumps in the water. But otherwise, it was a wonderful stay!

Great house and very well stocked. We loved the extras like 2 kitchens, games and puzzles, firepit (THANK YOU FOR THE SMORE FIXINGS).ots of seating on the dock, decks and inside. Plenty of room for all of us to relax and enjoy our stay. Communication with the owners was easy and they were quick to respond. The only negative was the unused(old) jetski and boat are a bit of an eyesore and the stumps right in front of the dock should be removed. We were told about the stumps, but not all that easy to maneuver around. We damaged and needed to replace the boat prop on the first day.

This house was set up perfectly for our three families to enjoy. There are plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for our group of 12. The views from nearly everywhere in the house are beautiful. The kitchen was well-appointed, the furniture was comfortable, and the ping pong table was a hit. The yard was great for wiffle ball and had plenty of room for the kids to run around. The dock was great for sunning.
The house shows a bit of wear (older carpet, marks on walls, etc.) but was clean and comfortable. The location is all the way up into a narrow point of the lake and the water was shallow and didn’t feel as fresh and clean as the main body of the lake. The kids swam off the dock, though I wasn’t really interested in jumping in since the water was really dark and shallow. It took a solid 20 minutes by boat to get to the main lake where we didn’t have to worry about the wake and were able to ski.

The house is good kitchen is well stocked with plenty of seating and any appliance you would want the beds are very comfortable lots of seating for tv and games now the bad add said you could use the things in boat house but no key the paddle boat doesn’t work the carpet in the enclosed porches are in terrible condition especially the one off the kitchen washing machine does not work properly but the worst thing is faith Edwards I called 2 weeks before the stay said I had questions twice I called 1 week before said I had questions no reply’s called on Thursday morning to let her know the dishwasher broke and flooded kitchen it’s now Saturday Night and still no word from her I am not asking for a refund but I should at least been contacted it is a shame if maintenance was kept up it would be a great place

Nestled in a quiet part of the lake, this house offers a respite from everyday life. A big kitchen, plenty of bathrooms, and nice, inviting spaces for all to enjoy.
A few flaws would be the low number of loungers up on the sun deck at the dock, multiple broken chairs, the single serve Keurig-style brewing machine (great for a small house, not for a large house like this), the old washer and dryer, and some mold growing in the master bath shower.
Owner was very helpful and great to work with. I would definitely stay here again.

Our family had a great time at the lake! The house allowed us plenty of room to gather as a group but also lots of space to spread out and enjoy the many fun activities available to us. We spent a lot of time fishing on the dock during the day and around the fire pit at night. The spacious and well-stocked kitchen made group meals easy, and the rooms and bathrooms were all a good size and comfortable. It was the perfect fit for us and we'd love to come back!

Lake Escape is a large beautiful home with two levels of great spaces for sleeping, eating, meeting, and game playing. It was a great spot for our winter retreat. It is well maintained and always an exceptional place to stay!

We loved the view there. It was very spacious and we liked that we could dock our boat there. There is a major safety concern tho that needs to addressed! On the top floor outside on the balcony the glass rail is broken and held by two zip ties! If some leans on that they are going to fall and get really hurt or killed. There is mildew down stairs from a previous water leak on ceiling. There were a lot of roaches also seen through out the house. The house was pretty clean but some repairs and updated needed.

We loved our vacation at Lake Escape. Having 2 kitchens was great! What a wonderful floor plan. Lots of space to gather as a group or to cozy up by yourself to read a book. Faith was quick to respond to any questions we had.

Our HUGE family loved our vacation time at Lake Escape! It offered more than enough room and the property was stocked very well. The two living areas were so nice. The big and little kids loved the ping pong table as well as the fishing from the pier. We enjoyed the views of the lake. We’d like to stay here again.

Beautiful location!
The views of the lake from this house are amazing!! I have some fantastic photos of gorgeous sunsets that were absolutely breathtaking.
We had 12 adults (two were only there 2 nights), and we all had comfortable rooms to sleep in. Plenty of space in the common areas for us to get together for meals and games. We went for a weekend wedding, but decided to book a stay for the week and make it a real vacation. So glad we did! Faith made sure there is something for everyone to do, from puzzles, coloring books, board and card games, to outdoor games. There was great fishing off the dock and the paddle boat was a blast. Our only complaint was the wifi. With that many people and TV's all connected, it was a real struggle to get a good signal. Also, since the router is on the bottom floor, it doesn't work well upstairs on the porch or veranda. Overall it was a great experience to all be able to stay together and have fun as a family. I highly recommend!

Wonderful large home
Went for Christmas holiday & had a wonderful time! House is huge with plenty of space for our family of grandparents, adult siblings, teens, & a toddler. Lovely welcome gift, a lighted tree, and some holiday details around the house. We completely enjoyed our stay. I will list some of the pros & cons to help you prepare.
Main level: The 2 ensuite bedrooms (a king & a queen) were spacious. There is also a half bath by the front door. The king room does not have any closet space for guests but there is a nice bathroom linen closet, & it has access to a screened porch that matches the screened porch off the dining area - both these porches have ripped, dirty outdoor carpeting. This room also doesn’t have full window coverings. Large kitchen with lots of dishes & baking supplies, but no pantry, so expect to keep your pantry items on the counters or the laundry room. No ice or water dispenser on the fridge, we brought a Britta filter. The dining room table set & formal room couch were both in very poor shape and should be replaced. There is an extra table in central area - great for cards/games/puzzles.
Downstairs: small bonus kitchen (sink, stove, fridge, microwave) so nice to have! 2 bedrooms on each side, each with a nice jack-n-jill bathroom between, & a bonus half bath under stairs. Photo says Peach room has a waterbed, but seemed regular, ok. The single waterbed in kids' room was sloshy- may need top-off. Great area for tv viewing (big sectional), ping pong table, & closet full of games- oversized bowling was a hit with toddler. Also thoughtful craft station for kids with paper, crayons, colored pencils, & craft scissors.
Outside: Winter weather was nice so we took a few walks around the area. Playground/park area nearby. Beautiful boathouse/dock & a firepit built into the sidewalk area. Nice level backyard to the lake, the front with the circular driveway is steep. The driveway is wide enough for three vehicles, and you can park them 2 deep- we didn't have that many.
General: Hot water & water pressure good, bed comfort mostly good, internet good for most things. Large laundry room with extra folding tables- we used for pantry. No large bins for trash, probably because you don’t want the trash to pile up much since you drive it to the local dumpsters just a couple streets over. That’s usual for the lake area. Overall- beautiful spacious home, some nice details, a few areas that could be easily improved. Would definitely stay again!

Thanksgiving dream home
This home was the perfect place to spend time with family and friends for the holiday. The pictures don't do justice to the space. It's larger than it appears in the photos. The kitchen was very well stocked for serving large meals for many people and the extra kitchen was a huge plus for cooking a Thanksgiving meal. The fireplace made a cozy spot to watch Thanksgiving football. There were lots of board games, lawn games and a ping pong table made for competitive fun. Beds were comfortable. Wifi was spotty at times, but mostly ok. Trash does need to be driven to a nearby dumpster. There is no trash pickup at the house. We had friendly neighbors who offered us firewood for the fire pit which was fun to sit around and roast marshmallows. I would definitely recommend this home. The showers were nice, but occasionally had to wait for the water to warm up. The house has some dated furnishings, but the large sectional downstairs was quite nice and super comfortable. Excellent communication with the property manager who made sure we had everything we needed,
