Happy Island Cottage with Private Pool
Una marca NUEVO 2000 p / c, 3 dormitorio moderno casa de playa con piscina climatizada y muy privado. Check in was a breeze. Communication with the host was excellent. Unless weather prevents it, Wednesday is always pool maintenance day and Alex always communicated before stopping over. Easy three block walk to beach access. There is no parking at this beach access which is a plus because there were less people. Ugly Grooper and shops are easy walking distance. If you bring a dog, the dog park is approximately three blocks away also.
With the tiki bar Ugly Grooper so close their dumpster is right next door. Just be prepared for it to be dumped on a regular basis between 630-700am. Loud.
By far our favorite part of this property was the pool deck.

The house was perfect for our family, our host was super and really made us feel welcome and ensured we had everything we needed. The pool and pool area were spotless and relaxing and the beach was a really short walk away, best of both worlds. We’d return for sure😎

We had a great time on Anna Maria Island! The house was in a great location - a few blocks to the beach and close to restaurants and shopping. The pool area is beautiful and was the perfect size for our family of 5. The house is clean and had most everything we needed. It was so nice to have beach equipment (chairs, wagon, etc) there for us so we didn’t have to bring it. The owner came to check in with us and make sure the pool was clean. We would definitely recommend this house for a nice family getaway!

Fabulous place to stay. Centrally located. A stroll to the beach. The house had more than enough room for everyone and three bathrooms. The pool is spectacular and while having cocktails the Ugly Grouper next door plays music. There is a place to sit out od the sun. I highly recommend renting a golf cart. We rented from the Toy Barn. We all said we would be back and rent the exact house if we can. I also suggest experiencing some drinks at the doctors office.

This was a wonderful place to stay. Clean and is supplied with everything you need. Alex will help out with any questions you need answered. Everything is in walking distance. Pool was the best! Every restaurant in Holmes Beach gets a five star. Rented a golf cart and toured Anna Maria and went to both piers to eat. Will be back next year. Thank you Alex for everything. The Woodwards

The house was a short walk to the beach, and was close to everything you needed. Lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance. We really liked being so close to the north end of the island. The house was pretty much exactly as described, and the kids loved the playing in the pool every day after coming back from the beach.

Love Holmes Beach, AMI
We stayed 1/2 block away the summer of 2021 and immediately knew we wanted to return. We felt we needed more room and are really happy we found Alex and his Happy Island Cottage. The neighborhood is residential yet close to shops, eateries, and a 5 minute walk to a non crowded section of the beach on 56th and Gulf. Alex was very eager to please and address questions/concerns almost immediately. We were very pleased and grateful to be allowed to get into the house before check in as we were traveling with my elderly mom. The house was fully stocked and met our needs. The pool was great and very refreshing after hours at the beach. The Ugly Grouper is right around the corner and we would enjoy the sounds from their live bands from a nice distance so as not to interfere with our conversations. We would definitely return. Thank you for sharing your beautiful house with us 😎.

Great Escape Location
We enjoyed our stay on AI & found the house to be just perfect for a family with teenagers. Close enough to walk to the quiet beach, round the corner from good local stores and the free bus at the end of the road perfect for getting home after an evening out!

Nice Place
We enjoyed our stay. Everything was pretty much as advertised. Owners were friendly and pretty responsive to our inquiries. The cottage was nice and clean, and provided enough privacy. We had plenty of room for my husband and I, our two teens, and my Mother-in-Law, but could use more seating in the living room. All of the beds were comfortable. We loved the master bath and appreciated the extra bathroom/laundry area. Wish the main entrance to the home and access to BBQ grill from kitchen were on the ground level, but understand why the homes are raised in case of storms/flooding. Too many stairs for my Mother-in-law. We checked in very late and the front door access code didn’t work, but all is well that ends well. I was disappointed there was only one raft for the pool, and it didn’t hold air. Decent location for not being on the beach. Nothing on the island was too far away. The air conditioning worked perfectly as it was very hot all week. Washer/dryer were nice and fast to keep up with all the towels. Overall we had a nice, positive, experience while we were there for a family reunion in the area. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Loving AMI
Great location and quiet despite being next door to restaurant. So clean, which is my top priority. Could use a couple beach chairs but has other beach essentials like toys, mats, and carts (2). Kitchen fully stocked for many people - only needed salt/pepper which we bought and left in cabinet. Pool was warm enough and clean - great to have after day at the beach. Will return! Thank you for great communication.

Our best AMI trip yet!
This was our third visit to AMI since 2016. The previous 2 times we stayed in a very nice multi-unit site. This visit we decided to rent a home with a pool.
Along with my wife and I, our 2 sons (18 & 15) stayed at Happy Island Cottage July 17-24 , 2021.
The checkin process was very easy, having setup our passcode with Alex a few days prior to arrival.
The house was as advertised, clean, comfortable with many of the amenities. The pool was great and relaxing. Loved hearing the live music from the Ugly Grouper serenade us on Sunday afternoon!
For us, the location was ideal. We also had rental an electric LSV which was definitely a bonus.
Would highly recommend this property. Can't wait until our next visit!

The home was very adequate and was found as advertised. Not having any toilet paper or paper towels was annoying, additionally I would have paid more to have access to the thermostat of the pool, set at 85 degrees and locked made the northern facing pool unusable. Owner was pleasant.

Amazing!!
My friends and I were looking for a house, close to the beach and with a pool. Little did we know we’d find the most perfect house. Alex was so easy to get in touch with and even stopped by to introduce himself. The house was beautiful, spacious, and clean. 5 minute walk to the beach and a pool with a BBQ we enjoyed at night. It was a wonderful weekend and we will for sure go back!!

What a wonderful experience for our group of 4 adults and two children. The home was perfect, plenty of space and the pool was gorgeous. The home was in the middle of everything you could need. And one of the most beautiful beaches in the world was only a few blocks away.

Great for Kids!
This place was absolutely stunning and so accommodating! We had two families stay (both with infants under 1) and we loved that there was a crib upstairs and a pack and play provided as well. They have seriously thought of everything, even haves waffle maker! The owners were quick to respond to all of my questions before and during the stay (within ten minutes or less) and extremely helpful with every question! Highly recommend this place!
