Esta pequeña casa con vista a la Bahía de Trinidad es perfecta para explorar la costa norte y relajarse en un vecindario libre de distracciones. We had a wonderful 5 night stay at the Pilot Rock Cottage. It is a peaceful quiet neighborhood with a beautiful (1/2 block away) view of the ocean. We loved having breakfast and seeing it. The cottage has everything you need, is clean, and the host is very responsive. Highly recommend!

You know how sometimes you don’t want to write about somewhere because then everyone will go there and you won’t be able to get reservations again? Yep, but I’m going to tell you anyway. This cottage was perfect. It is small and very cozy. We slept like happy rocks in the two beds (one regular bed and one futon). The kitchen was well furnished and we enjoyed a couple of meals there and also a couple of meals in nearby (and yummy) eateries. Stores were close by and a long walk or short drive to Trinidad Head trail and the beach. The front garden was charming and framed a lovely view of the bay. Sitting in the deck chairs with a nice drink and enjoying the view of the water was perfect. Thanks for adding a lovely memory to our road trip!

We and our kids (8 and 10) stayed for 3 nights while exploring the redwoods and loved it. The host Steve lives in the house behind the property and was very communicative pre-arrival, and nice to chat with when we showed up. The property is a nice little homey cottage with some charm, a nice front porch and ocean view, and great location. We appreciated the fact that it had all the little things like ziplock baggies and tin foil, it felt like staying at a friends place instead of a rental. We could walk to restaurants, the overlook, and down to the beach for sunset. Trinidad is a cool little town that has a grocery store and a few restaurants to check out.

One of the best VRBO experiences we’ve ever had! Our host were super friendly, but not in anyway obtrusive. The rental was a short walking distance from beautiful vistas, hiking trails, beaches, restaurants, parks, and stores. Would 100% recommend and book this place again.

Adorable cottage from the front and an oasis of relaxation delivered! The interior is cute, clean & laid out well for any stay (few days or weeks). Easy check-in/out & The accessibility to all things awesome in Trinidad was a pleasant surprise. We were walking distance to the beach, the store (great grocery spot!), wonderful shops, great food & lovely wine. We plan to come again and again!

We enjoyed staying at Pilot Rock Cottage! The cottage is clean, comfortable, and stocked with absolutely anything that you would need for your stay. A short walk down the street there is a breathtaking view of the ocean. There are also cute shops and restaurants within walking distance. It’s in a fabulous location for exploring Redwood National and State Parks which is where we spent our time. We had a great stay!

We love Pilot Rock Cottage. It is our home away from home in Trinidad. Always spotlessly clean, comfy, and cozy, and in the best location! Can even see the Bay from the living room couch/breakfast table. Plus, Steve and Jen are just the best ever hosts - lovely people!!

It's an adorable and spacious cottage in the heart of lovely trinidad. Every detail has been given great care to make the stay comfortable and inviting. We enjoyed coming home after rainy outdoor excursions to a fire and fleece blankets. The windows had lovely views of birds and a glimpse of the ocean. We didn't use the kitchen, but it was outfitted perfectly. We just wished we could've stayed longer!

Pilot Rock Cottage was a great value, with good parking, comfortable kitchen/living room/queen bed (could have slept 2 more in 2nd room), nice wood stove for heat (supplemented with wall heaters), and a view of the harbor from the front deck. I loved sitting on the deck at sunset, sheltered from the wind, and watching the colors. Steve was a gracious host, and as attentive as we needed him to be. And Trinidad is a classic little community close to Sue-Meg Beach where our children/grandchildren were camping. We all ate at the restaurant a short walk from the Cottage and loved their fish and chips. Thanks, Steve!

Pilot Cottage is a classic little comfortable cottage with a sweet deck embraced by mature landscape in a prime location with a view of Trinidad Harbor. It's a very clean, quiet place with everything you'd need in a kitchen; the living room with a wood burning stove and the chart room were great spaces to relax. Steve is an excellent host, very welcoming and ultra responsive. Highly recommend,.

Location had everything we needed. Obviously a very experienced host based on how well stocked, accessible, and well thought out the property was. Highly recommend this location. Trinidad is THE place to stay in the Redwoods National Park area.

We have stayed at Pilot Rock several times now, and loved being there each time. Cozy, comfy and great location! The owners are awesome, and the ocean view from the breakfast table is beautiful!

We’ve stayed in many homes throughout Trinidad and this one was the GOAT for our family of 4. Tucked away just enough to feel private yet set in the center of all the town action. The double open doors paired with the view (& wood burning stove!) makes this place so special. Thanks Steve!

A lovely well equipped cottage on a beautiful stretch of the Northern California coast. Walk to the beach and hiking trails and access to stunning State and National parks. Responsive hosts! Would definitely stay again!

This cottage makes me feel like I’m home because of all the wonderful household and kitchen amenities. I lacked for nothing. Have morning coffee on the porch, enjoy the view of Trinidad Bay, then walk to town …visit the galleries and shops!

Our stay in Trinidad was great and we found nothing to fault about location, comfort or charm of Pilot Rock Cottage.
Location: walking distance to beaches, restaurants and shops. A sea view from the property. Safe off road parking. Quiet and attractive neighbourhood.
Comfort: very well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and all the practicalities covered (washer/dryer and bathroom facilities both good)
Charm: a gorgeous setting with a lovely deck and garden where you can while away the warmer hours watching the birds or gazing at the sea view.
We had one minor issue with our check in but it was very quickly resolved by Steve.
This was a great base for local days out in Trinidad but also an easy drive up to the Redwoods.
Great stay and if ever back we wouldn’t hesitate to rebook.

This place was great for two people looking to spend time in a centrally located location on the coast. Walking distance to tasty food and the beach as well as hikes. We loved staying here and would definitely return.

We had a wonderful time at this cottage. It had all we needed to be at home. Wood-burning fireplace was a treat for us Floridians! Location was perfect and within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Trinidad is such a quaint town. Nearby forests and parks was just what we were looking for. The cabin had the best guest house book I’ve ever seen. Wish they were all that good. We would highly recommend a stay here.

Great quaint and cozy place . Was up there to see our daughter graduate! Did not get to spend a lot of time in the cottage but it was so cozy when we were there. Nicely decorated and just had a comfortable feeling right away ! Thx ! We will be back again and next time be able to spend some time really enjoying the space ! Thx!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Actually, we would. My husband and I stayed at Pilot Rock Cottage for a quick weekend getaway for our 10th anniversary. It was PERFECT!
Super clean and adorable cottage with a wood stove for cozy evenings. The absolute best location in Trinidad also. We parked our car and never took it out again until we left.
We hiked to Elk Head, took the hike up Trinidad Head, walked along the beach, and walked to restaurants and the grocery store.
We highly recommend this place. Very reasonably priced and no hidden extra fees.

The cottage had everything I needed with a beautiful ocean view. The location is the best. The beach and restaurants are within walking distance and exploring further up north is a short drive away. Steve and Jen were very welcoming and responsive. Highly recommend staying at Pilot Rock Cottage!

My husband and I have enjoyed our wonderful Cottage by the Sea My favorite part is Coffee on the Porch with the waves falling softly on the beach along with sweet little birds seranading us ❤️❤️❤️🌊☕️
