The cottage is beautiful with a very nice garden and about 5 minutes walk from the centre of the village. It has everything you need and the owner is very friendly.

Adorable place. Great location. Had everything we needed. Small, but we didn't mind. It is a great use of the space. Loved our stay.
Not a negative at all, just an FYI that the staircase is steep and all beds are upstairs. Read and follow the driving directions carefully, we learned the hard way ;P

this a beautiful cottage that immediately feels like a home away from home.

Location, free parking, décor, well equipped,
No instructions about recycling, not enough towels, smoke detector in kitchen very close to oven so that every time oven door opened the alarm sounded, we had to take it down. Directions, too detailed and hard to follow. Wrong road name given.

The location was very good but a bit difficult to find. Instructions as to how we could get there on foot from the High Street would have been useful. It is close to an excellent restaurant, The Cook's Tale, formerly Ambrette. The back garden and river were much appreciated by all 4 of us.
There were no instructions on how to use the cooker hob and so we were unable to do so on the one occasion we required it.

I loved being in such a quiet place which was close to the heart of the city. Being able to sit in the garden overlooking River Stour was wonderful. The setting was tranquil, the foliage everywhere was green and the peaceful punters added to the atmosphere. The decor inside the property was interesting, calming and beautiful. The kitchen seemed well stocked and parking was easy and convenient.Jaya was great to communicate with.
Due to the property having been built in the 1860s, there were sash windows. I found the key to the sash windows fiddly and lifting them up required effort. However, I'd certainly like to stay again if I was in the area - it wasn't a deal breaker.
I'm not great with tech and couldn't find the BBC channels, I could only get Netflix and the whole superb variety of Apps. However, if I had been bothered enough to have got in touch with Jaya, I'm sure she would have replied instantly and told me what to do.

Location was fabulous could walk to all local attractions restaurants town etc
The garden needs some tlc, trees so overgrown shuts out sun and light. Dead plants, weeds in stoned area. Dirty parasol in corner of garden. . Generally untidy. The Only Seating was at the end garden was wooden which have would been lovely to sit and look at river however no proper cushions/ seats, 4 kitchen chair cushions so uncomfortable . For all these reasons we couldn’t sit out in evenings which was a shame as weather was beautiful.A Table and chairs would be good so guests can use the bbq and eat outside. All of this such a shame as cottage inside immaculate couldn’t fault inside at all .

Was able to park for free right outside the cottage. Fully self contained and a simple very short walk to the very centre of the city.

Great location, only a few minutes walk to the city centre. Spotlessly clean, well equipped with lots of nice little extras. The Christmas Tree in the hallway was a lovely touch.
Friendly, accommodating Host.

Jaya was very welcoming and friendly . Location was perfect, little river at the bottom of the gargen.
The beds for us, were not very comfortable, firm and a little lumpy, could have done with a soft mattress topper and a mattress protector. Also a protector on the pillows.

This is a first-class holiday let. We loved the cosy, warm feel to the place. It was immaculate, beautifully furnished and had all that we needed for our family stay in Kent. The garden, overlooking the river, was the perfect spot for leisurely sipping a glass of chardonnay on a balmy summer’s night. The property was also near all that central Canterbury had to offer, yet it was quiet during evenings. The allocated parking space was an added bonus. We were made to feel very welcome from the outset and would love to come back to the property.
There was nothing to dislike.

The box is not big enough. We loved everything; a true home from home: parking in the centre of Canterbury, beautiful cottage (pictures illustrate perfectly); clean and tastefully decorated; all 'mod cons' (hob, cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, Netflix, Amazon prime). Lovely garden. Jaya, our host, was equally lovely: communicative, helpful and treated us with the respect that we would show guests in our own home. We chose very well.
For us, the cottage was as close to perfect as you can get so nothing not to like. Scraping the barrel to find anything not to like the directions to the cottage might be improved slightly to cover the final 100m or so.

Excellent location and very quiet despite being so close to town. The cottage had everything we needed and the little garden was lovely to have a drink in the sunshine and watch the punting boats go by. A great base for exploring Kent, the owner was very helpful with tips on where to go.
We liked everything

Very comfortable, warm, spotlessly clean cottage, centrally located so easy to walk to nearby landmarks, cafes and bars.

The location was excellent... just a couple of minutes walk to the High Street. Within a minute's walk we tried the Saffron Cafe for breakfast and Pinnochio's Italian for dinner which were both excellent. The cottage backed onto the river so the garden would be a lovely place to sit in warmer weather. The cottage was in a peaceful location even though it was within the city walls and very central. Beds were comfortable and there were blackout blinds in both bedrooms. The weather wasn't great for our stay but the cottage was cosy and warm. It was helpful having a downstairs toilet as well as the upstairs bathroom. We also really liked the separate filtered tap for drinking water in the kitchen. In addition we really appreciated the excellent communication from Jaya the host. Finally it was great having our own parking space and not having to worry about finding parking.
