The condo was in the perfect location. The tiki bar had excellent food and the pool was nice and cleaned. The condo itself could use a little updating but it was very clean!

We only stayed over for a single night during peak season, but enjoyed everything about our stay. The hosts were very communicative (even when I asked silly questions) and their place was clean and easy to get to. Would stay again!

Everything stated online is exactly right with some added things. Appliances were fantastic and the condo was clean and not long after we arrived the cleaning lady stopped to make sure everything was okay. Beautiful view from the balcony off the living room and dining room. Would highly recommend this rental.

The golden sands is a great spot, especially for families. It’s all about location and entertainment on the deck for the kids. Tiki bar is great for the adults. While the unit met our family needs the lighting was not great, the shades were broken, and the parking spot was not ideal for a large vehicle. We have a Tahoe and found it difficult to park which limited our trips from the condo. (Note, owner did note this in the description) View was great, nice to have upgraded stove if you choose to cook.

The apartment is very nice, modern and nicely furnished and clean. The owners are very nice, they made the exception and let us stay for only one night.

The Golden Sands is an older building with indifferent upkeep showing in the common areas & elevators despite the $50 resort fee that is required of anyone staying there, regardless of season. The unit itself also shows its age in the rickety closet doors and discolored bathroom countertops, but the furniture and furnishings are comfortable and functional. There is a dvd player, but it is not hooked up and there is no HDMI cord. No hair dryer/soap/shampoo/shower gel/extra toilet paper/linens or towels provided; perhaps a lingering covid concession, but still a bit surprising given the price point of the rental. What you are really paying for is the view which is spectacular and looks out east over the ocean. You can see the sun rise from the living room and master bedroom. The building is oceanfront, so it is truly just steps to the beach. That is what provides this unit its true value.

Easy, clear, timely communication from host. Clean & well-equipped, especially the kitchen. Very short drive to great restaurants, grocery, etc. Building has bonus amenities (deli, tiki bar) nice pool & restrooms on the sun deck, and wasn't too crazy or too sleepy, very friendly staff, clean. Carts readily available to make move-in/out quickly. Convenient beach umbrella rental. Would go back. Sunrise on the balcony with coffee was priceless!

The view was amazing. The people where nice the tiki bar had good food and drinks. The property owner was quick to answer all my questions. Would definitely stay again.

.Best part was the sun deck and private beach. Pool was too small for the size of property. Elevators were a nightmare first day but improved after that. Unit itself was small but nice. Two problems were the air conditioning did not adequately cool the entire unit. Could use room darkening curtains in both bedrooms. Also bedrooms doors locked when we didn’t want them to and we had difficulty opening them.

Spectacular Stay!
This property is absolutely wonderful. Being on the 19th floor, standing on the balcony, or just simply looking out through the big ocean-facing windows – what a spectacular sight, gazing upon the ocean from this height, day in and day out. The rooms are spacious. All the appliances work great. The location of Golden Sands is great in relation to the nearby grocery stores, and all the other attractions around the area. It was great having a key code for unlocking the door, instead of fumbling about and remembering to keep track of a key card, like most other places are. The kitchen cabinet doors need a little bit of tightening here and there, but that's about it. Thank you for providing such a wonderful place for us to live for a bit. It was truly spectacular!

Great stay at familiar location
Our stay in #1913 in June, 2022 was a refreshing experience. Owner, Albert, was efficient with communications and provided a clean and tidy unit...he even presented us with a welcome package. We have been to Golden Sands on 4 different occasions and this was by far the best kept unit. I should also mention that the view, from the master, is absolutely breathtaking.

2022 New Year in OC
We had a wonderful time in the Golden Sands unit! The property owner was super helpful and responsive!! We enjoyed the location as it was so near restaurants, grocery stores and shops!! Ocean front view was terrific!! We look forward to going again! Thank you

Sunrise from the 19th. Floor Awesome! Very Clean and comfortable sofa. Top Grade kitchen appliances. Only 1 wine glass. Great Shower. Easy check in. Highly recommend.

The Best!
This condo was in excellent condition and clean. Amenities at the Golden Sands are impressive. Even on a rainy day there are activities in the building and out and about OC. Beds were comfy, kitchen was well equipped and communications with the owner were outstanding.. Hope to return.

Clean with updated amenities. Tremendous beach views. Enjoyed the pool and beach. Lacked basic items such as cooking pots, pans, cutting boards. Elevator wait times on the weekend could be up to 20 minutes. Parking spot was often blocked by people arriving and leaving or by food delivery services.

Exactly as described with a view that can’t be beat
We loved this place and would stay again. Our summer OC vacation was my wife and I, our two little ones (3&1) our friends and there adult child; all were comfortable and we never felt crowded. Awesome kitchen, love the Viking range and stove. Easy to find, easy to access, solid parking, and very easy to communicate with the host.

We stayed for a friend’s bachelorette weekend. Super clean, plenty of room for the 7 of us. Balcony was a hit, with the view! I would definitely recommend!

Beautiful View!!
The condo was exactly as pictured, nice size bedrooms, we enjoyed the balcony and the beach view. Had to deal directly with the owner for a maintenance issue. He was very friendly, yet professional and did not interrupt our stay. Would definitely stay again.☺️

Amazing view
Unfortunately there was rain on the second day . The beautiful view from the property really helped ease the dreary day. Access to the beach and stores is so convenient. Parking in the garage was a little tricky but conveniently next to entrance. The property was very clean and had a pleasant smell. I highly recommend.

Great condo
Condo was clean, bathrooms and kitchen recently updated, the view was amazing!! The only down side like other reviewers stated was the lock on the door was very hard to open and took awhile to get in.

We had a great time! Excellent and timely communication with the owner. Reserved indoor parking and easy check-in. Master bedroom has a great view and is right next to the water. Highly recommend.

Amazing Condo!
This condo is amazing! The owners are very friendly, provided great communication and take pride in ownership of their condo. The condo itself was clean, had updated appliances and the view was terrific. The pictures listed are exactly as expected upon arrival! Staff are always smiling and happy to help. There is so much to do at Golden Sands. Tiki bar, cafe, arcade, outdoor sports, outdoor pools, top floor indoor pool, adult game room, etc. ! Lastly, there is assigned parking, so you will never lose your parking spot! We are going to be returning and taking our children with us next time. Highly recommend this rental! Don't hesitate to book!!

Not great!
The locks were very difficult to lock and unlock spent 10 minutes fighting with the door every time I needed to leave or get in! sending and receiving keys through the mail is a pain. Also didn’t know I had to bring sheets and towels until after booking! $40 resort fee when checking in. Lots of things not listed that would have been a deal breaker for me!

Daughters 16th birthday
The condo was great. We had 2 adults and 4 teenagers. Bedrooms are large with plenty of closet space. Master bedroom and balcony view is amazing. Updated bathrooms and kitchen which was well stocked with utensils and appliances. Great location with bus stop out front. Owner was very accommodating and responded quickly. Would definitely go back and stay longer.

Quiet location.
My wife and I were there the week of 5/16/21. The condo is clean, comfortable and well supplied. And the view from the 19th floor is great. Except be aware that you have to take all of your linens, blankets, towels, both bath towels and dish towels, and disposables. This information was not in the listing and I was made aware of it from the property manger after booking.
Also, we were not aware the property amenities were not yet open. Such as the indoor and outdoor pools, the game room, the tiki bar and the shops and eateries. Apparently these facilities open after Memorial Day. This was probably an oversight on my part for not checking. This wasn't a problem, simply an inconvenience. We spent the warm days on the beach and the cooler windy days walking on the OC boardwalk (a few miles south) and sightseeing.

Gorgeous views
We had an amazing relaxing couples weekend. The views and the private balcony are gorgeous and just added to the experience. The kitchen and bathrooms seem to be newly renovated. My only suggestion would be a different option for keys to enter. Having to mail keys back and forth is a little hassle and the keys do not easily open the door. I couldn’t unlock or lock the door at all-I depended on my husband to do it. Perhaps a keyless entry option would be easier for all involved. The master closet would seem cleaner if it was painted darker like the walls of the room-many nicks that made it feel less appealing. I would also suggest updating the information book with newer options or remove the older dated stuff. We got excited to have ideas to look through in the book, but then realized the events were all dated from 2012-2015. This is all minor and I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. Some of the pictures listed are older but the virtual tour provides a nice updated look at exactly what the condo looks like.

Great unit and owner
I had to book my stay days before arriving due to a last minute scheduled cheerleading competition. Mr. Lee was very patience and accommodating with all the needs of my stay. He had continual communication with me throughout the booking process and during our stay. It was much cheaper and roomier than a hotel room. Mr. Lee also allowed us a much later check out for a small fee. The unit was a great size and allowed us to spread out. It was clean and provided every amenity we needed. Having breakfast on the balcony overlooking the sunny beach was a plus. I would definitely consider renting from Mr. Lee and staying at his Golden Sands Condo again.

The building had good covid guidelines for elevators, though some other guests did not care, we only went up 2 at a time ourselves.
Very comfortable condo and looking forward to renting again! Waking up to sunrise was amazing! Had good communication with owner! Let them know about few things and had good response!

Great views!
Took a quick getaway with my husband and two young children to OC. The condo had great wide views of the ocean and perfect sized balcony. Kitchen and bathrooms are updated and everything worked great. The main part of the condo was very clean but we did notice that the bedrooms, especially under the beds, were extremely dirty (empty water bottles, etc) so just something for the owner to address with the cleaning company going forward. And the master bedroom mattress is as hard as a rock so bring your own padding if you desire something more comfortable. Albert was very responsive and easy to reach if needed.

Very tasteful and well supplied condo. All I can think of adding is light blocking shades for second bedroom and a few wine glasses. I also would have liked to know ahead of time that it was on the 19th floor.
