restaurant area could use some artwork on walls

The breakfast was better that what you normally get at a hotel were there is no restaurant. There were a variety of food items from which to select. I liked the hours for which the breakfast was available. The staff frequently replenished items during the available hours. Hotel location was outstanding, within walking distance to many Centro attractions, which there were many-shops, parks, cathedrals, restaurants.

Since items on the breakfast buffet were not labeled, did not know what some of the items were . The food was never hot, it was always warm. Signs about cleaning and covid protocols should be updated. Ex. Sign in room says cleaning every 5 days. Room was cleaned every day, this was great but wasn't clearly communicated

Room was worn with dirty wallls and in great need of paint. Mattress was lumpy. we were told the room was equipped with a coffee maker and complimentary water bottles, but had neither. We asked for 2 access keys and it became an unnecessary struggle.

Perfect location in the historic city center. The housekeeping staff was very easy to work with in keeping the room clean.

I sent several messages via Booking prior to arrival regarding our arrival time and airport taxi and never received a response. I was happy to pay for an early check in but because the hotel never answered any messages, could not arrange this and was out on the street for several hours in the rain after flying all night with a young child. Checked in to the room and found not a single towel in the room, told housekeeping and front desk twice and none were ever delivered. Front desk attention was cold and visibly annoyed about asking for assistance with a taxi the following morning.

Room was comfortable, but the floors were never clean in the room or around the hotel. Breakfast was okay, but boring and eggs were rubbery. I can't eat sugar in any form, so i had almost no options.
