Cosy two bedroom cottage in the centre of Pokolbin
Nuestra cabaña es una tabla de planchar de dos dormitorios estilo antiguo con un clásico balcón cubierto de estilo rural en el lado oriental y norte y con un baño recientemente renovado y una acogedora sala de estar / comedor para relajarse y ver la televisión o relajarse después de un ajetreado día visitando el local atracciones. La ubicación es fantástica, ya que minutos a Hunter Valley Gardens, Hope Estate, Roche y Bimbadgen y justo al lado del magnífico Restaurante italiano Il Cacciatore; muy céntrico y cerca si usted está asistiendo a uno de los muchos conciertos en Pokolbin. Que está a unos cinco minutos en coche de la vendimia Golf Resort & Spa y está rodeado de viñedos, restaurantes, cafeterías y todas las atracciones que han hecho de la región vinícola del valle Hunter uno de los favoritos para los visitantes de todo el mundo.

My husband and I had a weekend away with our two young children. Ron and his wife were lovely hosts. The cottage was beautiful and perfectly located within Hunter Valley. Love the art gallery next door to the cottage. My kids did not want to leave the cottage, they loved it! Thank you for an incredible stay!

Perfectly central location for us to explore the lower hunter. Some great dinner options nearby so didnt have to drive far and night.
Very comfortable accommodation with a/c in bedrooms. Even saw kangaroos up close on the property in the morning which my son loved.
Ron was welcoming and responsive in all our dealings.

Wonderful short stay at The Cottage on McDonalds Rd. Very well equipped, peaceful, so clean and comfortable. Love the artwork on the walls and the gallery on site, and the owners, Ron & Lyn are lovely.

Just what we needed to relax and recharge

The location feels quiet but is very central, with great parking, and a beautiful gallery next door.
You can see that Ron and Lyn have very carefully considered how to meet their guests’ needs. The two bedrooms and the lounge and kitchen are spacious and comfortable, and there are lots of tiny thoughtful touches that make a huge difference. Everything from luxury bedding, towels, and cozy blankets, to separate heating and aircon in each room, decent tea and coffee, and a clean, well appointed kitchen.
Quality is clearly important, and it shows.
They are helpful but unintrusive, and delightful hosts. Highly recommend this place.

The cozy two bedroom cottage really made our stay in the Hunter Valley exceptional. The hosts are very generous and are helpful with any recommendations if needed. The cottage is spacious with all the amenities of home, including super comfortable beds. It is private as you are the only accommodation plus it is really lovely. It was also great value for a two bedroom.
I highly recommend this cottage and I will be booking this next time I return to the Hunter Valley.

We had a great time and the location of the property made everything accessible at a very quick time. We managed to explore everything that we had planned, thanks for the vegemite and peanut butter Ron that meant Kids were eating with no fuss. Looking forward to visiting again soon

Even though it was just a couple of days, the stay was relaxing enough to feel much longer. Armed with the information that Ron gave us, we were able to spend the 2 days, wining, dining and walking. The cottage is lovely with all that you require for the stay, including fresh sourdough, mild eggs and bacon.

Our cottage stay was amazing. We loved everything about it; from the treats in the fridge to the beautiful decor. Location was superb. Plenty of info about nearby attractions. Meticulously clean, spacious and well presented cottage. Only pitfall was no laundry which would have been handy for a family 4 day stay.

My friend and I escaped for a little retreat in the Hunter Valley and were so impressed with the accomodation we booked at The Cottage McDonald's Road, Pokolbin. We met both Ron and Lyn, the owner's of the property, who also manage the Watershed Gallery located directly behind the cottage. A win, win for us as creatives! Ron and Lyn are absolutley gorgeous and provided us with so much information to ensure we had an enjoyable stay whilst in the valley The artwork in the cottgae and gallery were outstanding and Ron ensured we had staples in our pantry and fridge to value add to our stay. Extremely thoughtful and truly appreciated. I will definetely be recommeding this property to family and friends and cannot wait to return myself! 10/10

This is our second stay at the Cottage and will not be our last. Cosy Cottage with everything you need in a perfect, quiet location. Fridge filled with goodies - bacon, eggs, milk, butter, wine and bread plus tea/coffee and condiments. Easy booking process and warm, welcoming owners. See you next year!

Beautifully renovated 2-bedroom cabin. Great for two friends travelling together as we both had lovely, light and airy bedrooms with queen beds.
Immaculate inside and out in well-kept grounds. The owners Ron & Lyn were extremely weloming and friendly. A plus was an enjoyable visit to their neighbouring art gallery! A definite for a return stay.

My sister and I stayed here when we traveled to the hunter valley for our cousins wedding. Beautiful little self contained cottage with all amenities, great location! We met Ron and his wife in their art gallery behind the property. Lovely couple and beautiful art gallery. They were very helpful with helping us with info on coffee locations and taxi drivers. We took a walk on the property- I think from memory 7acers. The cottage itself could easily sleep 4 adult comfortably, comfortable bed and linen. Cute little kitchen with everything we needed, lots of heaters to keep cosy and a good selection on dvds we enjoyed watching. Our only disappointment was that we didn’t stay longer. Not having been to the Hunter region before, finding accommodation that suited was going to be a guess. I can say we guessed correct because the location was perfect for our needs. Close to the local facilities (2 min drive to general store, cafes, shops) and surrounded by too many wineries to visit in the 4 days we were here. The Cottage has been set up to include all you need for your stay and provides for a very enjoyable holiday experience. Still plenty of wineries to visit and The Cottage will be top of our list to come back and stay at.

We loved the "little" House. The location was wonderful, extremely quiet with a beautiful outlook and close to everything. Very nicely set-up with everything you need and Ron (our Host) even supplied Breakfast - what a treat !!

Pretty accomodation close to everything you want to be near in the Hunter Valley. Home is tidy and has everything you need. Really appreciated the food parcel left for us too - really nice touch and helped with our breakfast plans!

Ron and Lyn made our experience one of a kind. Ron set us up with with wine tours with hunters and gatherers.
they have an incredible art gallery right next-door and were very very friendly hosts. we had a lot of great conversations with them thank you. College was lovely. We will definitely be back and we will be sending our kids this way for sure.

From check-in to check-out, our stay was fantastic. Ron very generously stocked the fridge with some basic supplies, as well as a bottle of white from, coincidentally, our favourite cellar door! Can’t recommend this property highly enough and would stay here again when visiting the Hunter.

Everything about this property was fabulous. The location, the facilities and the tranquillity of environment all made it one of the best places we have stayed in. The little extras such as eggs, bacon, milk, bread and wine which were provided for us by our hosts were such a welcome gift and made us feel completely at home from the start..Being situated next door to a popular Italian restaurant was a bonus which allowed us the privilege of dining out , having a quiet drink and then walking "home". We were delighted with our choice to stay here and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Hunter Valley.

great location, the cottage is fabulous, everything is provided for you Ron has thought of everything you need, the welcome package was great. Very quiet location with plenty of wildlife, comfortable beds, very clean property, plenty of parking, it was excellent we really enjoyed our stay at the cottage.
