It was cleaned well.

There was a hole in the ceiling in the kitchen with wires hanging out and water dripping into the floor. There was the light fitting on the floor and quite a lot of water. Someone had put a bucket underneath to catch the water but it wasn’t enough. We where not notified before the stay and my message afterwards was not responded to. There was a cockroach in the bathroom and one in the kitchen - big ones! The shower head was broken, only the spray hose worked.

The host was friendly and we were able to check in very early. The apartment is very spaceous and provides two bedrooms, one with two bunkbeds and one with two seperate one person beds. The kitchen is fully supplied and very big and the table was actually all set up with plates and everything! The location is great with close proximity to restaurants and the water, yet it is very quiet in the apartment.

I was a bit sad to find out that there were no towels whatsoever, not in the kitchen nor in the bathroom so we ended up using our beach towel which unfortunately wasn't clean anymore. I'm not sure if they forgot to bring some towels in or if they are simply never there, but make sure to bring your own. Another letdown for me was the bathroom. It is massive, but they didn't think too well about the design. The shower is incredibly small even for one person, although they have so much space to place a bigger shower. The tiles in the shower felt a bit slippery and not very clean and unfortunately, water leaks from down below the shower so after a few minutes, there's a pool of water outside on the bathroom floor. A concern for me are the (very friendly and energetic) dogs nextdoor which you can see (and pet) from the window in the kitchen as it connects to the garden of the neighbours. The dogs were constantly howling and when we went to check on them, there was poop and pee all over the floor which made me feel a bit sad for them. There were so excited to get some attention from us and howled whenever we closed the window and left them which made me wonder if the owners give them much attention at all.

It is much nicer than the photos show. It is a comfortable place with some well thought out little touches

The neighbour has a couple of large dogs that are directly outside the window of the room with the bunk beds. They barked a little bit at times, but not too much. They're also quite cute though :)
