Fish house is such a sweet and warm house. It’s quiet, beautiful and well appointed. Everything is clearly labeled and well organized! We love being able to walk to the beach.

We have stayed here before and vowed to come back. The house, yard and location is just perfect for us and our pups! Not only do we love to explore the beaches and surrounding area but grabbing take out and watching a movie is just as fun. The house is clean and everything is clearly labeled. It is comfortable and warm! The yard could not be more perfect for hours of fetch not to mention the sound of the waves in the background! We love it here and will be back again!

For me, this was the perfect place in every way. Beautiful house, inside and out, a well-stocked and functional kitchen, super comfortable bed, wonderful views out back, great deck to hang out on with morning coffee or evening wine, very quiet neighborhood, lots of space, well-done upgrades like double-pane windows throughout (makes a huge difference), natural gas fireplace insert, whole-house heating with responsive thermostat, smart TV with Direct TV (I watched the Superbowl in great comfort--it even took the sting out of the game's outcome :-), modern washer and dryer, adaquate hot water, etc, etc. The loving care the owners have put into this house over the years is obvious in every room. It was one of the most delightful and peaceful stays I've ever had on the California coast (and I've stayed in quite a few). I was equally impressed with the responsiveness and kindness of the owners. I'm really looking forward to coming back for another stay in the near future.

Beds were very comfortable and the entire house was well stocked. We settled into our new 'home' within minutes.

This was our annual sister’s trip when the four of us decide on a new place to visit and get together. This trip was just wonderful! The weather was perfect, the Northern California coast is sooo beautiful. The house we rented was excellent, comfortable, quiet, and close to Ft Braggand Mendocino Enjoyed it ALL

Nice and quiet neighborhood. Close walk to the beach. House was perfect size for my family of 4 and 2 big dogs. Nice big yard for dogs to play. Will definitely return.

What a private and peaceful location. House is very welcoming with everything you need. Beds were very comfortable. Books in every room. So much history throughout the house. Beautiful views and you can even watch the ocean from the deck or walk to the ocean in about 10-12 minutes. Huge yard with plenty of room. Pet friendly. Will definitely be back.

House was charming and lots of windows and 10 minute walk to ocean. Many books and fun artwork. Very comfortable we love the fish house and will be back.

The Fish House is so special! It is located just north of Fort Bragg in a quiet neighborhood. The view from most of the rooms is the woods and the ocean beyond. We spent plenty of time on the deck, listening to the waves crash. There are many things that make this house a home. We enjoyed the library of books on a variety of subjects, the games provided, the comfortable furniture and the well equipped kitchen. The grounds of the property are spectacular, as this house sits on a few acres. A beach is nearby, within easy walking distance. Do NOT hesitate to rent this house if you're looking for a peaceful break. This is a special place!

We really enjoyed our stay. We spent many hours enjoying tge ocean view from deck, walking the property with lovely yard, viewing the numerous books. Walking trails were very nearby. We would return again. It was a perfect vacation. Our dog enjoyed hanging out on the deck as well.

This home in a quiet neighborhood has a view of State Park grounds from the living area and three of the bedrooms. A house with interesting history, evident in the art collection and the large library. The yard has a large, sheltered grassy area great for kids play. We rented it as additional space for a family weekend at my Mom's house down the street. The grandkids loved riding their bikes back and forth.

We had a wonderful time. The home is cozy and warm. Perfect for our needs. Communication with our host was excellent! We would stay again.

It was a beautiful rustic home with a wonderful setting. It proved to be the ideal place for our annual three man reunion.

We love the Fish House for it’s welcoming, charming vibe. We usually like to go out and sight see, but at the Fish House, everything we need is there! It’s our family favorite spot and we look forward to returning! Close to the ocean, beautiful backyard, roomy with great television channels and a whole library. Beautiful artwork in the home, we spent the maid our stay playing in the backyard and on the beach nearby. We love the vacation home.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming and clean vacation house ideally located in a quiet secluded family-type neighborhood. The highlight of the location was its proximity to a beautiful beach trail, where we could see ocean waves from the balcony and hear them crashing on the beach. The vacation house was also conveniently close to a restaurant and a famous botanical garden, offering plenty of options for dining and exploring. The cleanliness of the house was impeccable, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The bed provided a restful night's sleep, and waking up to the sight and sound of the ocean waves added to the overall tranquility. The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed, making it easy to prepare meals and enjoy our time indoors. The vacation house provided the perfect setting for a rejuvenating weekend getaway, allowing us to unwind and relax in a serene and picturesque environment. I highly recommend this vacation house to anyone seeking a peaceful and rejuvenating vacation by the beach.

This place was perfect! It was stocked with everything you could ever need and the host was great to communicate with! Highly recommend.

Idyllic setting in the trees a few hundred yards from the ocean. Absolutely no road noise from the infamous Highway 1 so the quiet, the myriad bird calls and the distant ocean sounds were the entertainment. Rooms are spacious, beds very comfortable. I would return here in a heartbeat.

Very nice place to stay location is great! Big yard for the dog to play with wonderful views. They keep this place very clean and we would like to stay there again.

Spacious and comfortable home. Especially if you prefer to eat at home. Great non stick pots and sharp knives. Plenty of open space for our dog to romp around. Would definitely return.
