Where do I even start about our trip. From the moment we walked in the door, you were in Paradise. The house was perfect. The location, well you could not ask for a better location. The beach is right across the street and the sound view from the upper deck is amazing. The most beautiful sunsets. The pool was amazing, and our girls loved it especially coming home from the beach and washing off and then spending time in the pool. The host was amazing. The few very small questions that I had, the immediately responded. You are in walking distance of the shops. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

We can’t say enough great things about our stay! Mike is a wonderful host and the house was just perfect. The location couldn’t be better with access to beach, restaurant, market, pier etc all within a 1 minute walk. Thank you for everything!!

Highly recommend
Of all the places we have stayed, OBX Life 2 has the most comfortable beds and living room furniture. More than that, the location is perfect, and the views of the sound and the ocean are relaxing.

Great location. Great host. Could be cleaner
This house is located in a great location, just across the street from Jeanette’s pier and right beside Whalebone Park, perfect for kids. Great host and easy to work with. Unfortunately the cleanliness of the house was disappointing. It was also interesting the only cups in the house were either coffee cups or wine glasses, neither of which are suitable for children.

A wonderful stay. The location was absolutely perfect. If you forget anything there are shops walking distance. A must stay. We can’t wait to book again!

Pure Bliss
We’ve stayed here many times over the years but this was our first with children. It was a pure bliss week and magical! The house is as always, clean, well stocked, roomy, ideal location, and decorated to perfection! We love this property and cannot wait to come back next summer!

The house was clean & it is in a very convenient location. We loved being able to walk to Sam and Omies. The pool was great & 2 outdoor showers with warm water were nice as well.

Great Vacation get away
We just got home today. We had a great stay. Mike is great to work with, I couldn’t find our linens and he was so quick to respond to my message and help me locate them. The house was spaced out nicely to where you aren’t on top of each other. The yard space was perfect for my French bulldog. The kids really enjoyed the pool after coming back from the beach each day. The park within walking distance was a great bonus as well. Google maps had me alittle worried about the distance to the beach, but not a issue at all, from the house to my feet touching the sand was maybe 2 mins. Can’t wait to book with Mike again!

Great family rental near the beach
Really nice spot right across the street from the beach and Jennette's pier. The kids loved the bunk beds room, and although one of the beds was fairly squeaky, mostly everyone slept well. Being right next to the playground is really nice for families with little kids.

Overall Review
Property is not in great repair and needs some attention. Hot water did not work in master bathroom or kitchen. Faucet in kitchen was not working properly. There were no glasses in the property other than wine glasses. Property did not appear that clean. The property is okay but is not as good as it looks online.

House is well maintained and cared for. Location is wonderful. First time staying in Nags Head, typically go to Avon. It was nice to be able to walk the area rather than drive all the time.

We had a very relaxing stay and it was very accommodating. I have a 2 year old and she had a blast as well. Great property and we are going to make this a yearly vacation!

Excellent location!
We have been traveling to this area of the Outer Banks for many years and this was, by far, our best experience. The house was perfect for our stay-my husband and I, our adult daughter and my Dad. There is a nice pool, a dog run right off the first floor bedroom which offered a safe place to let our dog out. The location was awesome, we could walk to the beach and to Jeanette’s Pier. The view from the decks were very nice. Most of all the property manager, Mike was great! He was very responsive and made our travel experience easy. Highly recommend this property and will be going back hopefully again soon!

You saved our summer!
From my family to yours, thank you so much for such an incredible accommodation. You literally saved our summer! We visited with another family (6 people in total) and the house was perfect for our families. The location was so incredibly convenient (quiet strip across from the beach) and the house afforded a lot of charm - I can tell how much warmth and love you put into the place. The back deck and pool area for were perfect for early evening cocktails and appetizers. Mike - thanks again for being so responsive - we will definitely come back!

OBX Life II was an excellent place !!
OBX Life II was a nice place to stay with a pool! We had our dogs with us and the place did not smell of other dogs! I had a small accident with a drinking glass and broke it while washing it and the owner nicely excused my clumsy self! I treated their house as my own and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a place near Jeannette’s Pier, restaurants, Manteo, and other activities! The grounds and the house were wonderfully appointed with everything you need! Loved our stay! The Smith Family

Great location, decent house, 3.5 stars
The location of this house is about as good as it gets, next door to one of the most liked restaurant on the OBX, and about a block from Jennette’s pier and beach. The house itself is on the small side and could use better upkeep - the back door is poorly sealed leading to a substantial difference in temperature between master (downstairs) and other bedrooms (upstairs), one of the bunk beds seemed close to falling apart, etc. Overall I would stay here again but wouldn’t necessarily seek out this house.

Overall ok stay, but would not return
This property had a private pool which was great to have and was close to the beach. The main reasons we would not go back however, are due to the lack of cleanliness and beach access was tricky as the first street to cross was busy. Also, we paid for sheets and towels which were incredibly thin and uncomfortable, and were not even placed in the home for us. We had to make the bed, which normally I wouldn't care but we paid for them. The inside needs some serious updating, especially in the bathrooms. There were dead flies all over both bathroom floors, squashed bugs on the ceiling above the bed, dog hair and dust that needed to be swept up, and the air ducts were caked with dust and needed changing. The decorations and set up of the house were nice, but with these other things present, we would not go back, especially for the price we paid.

The location is great for beach and shopping. Everything is as advertised. We walked to the beach across the street every morning. The afternoons the entire family spent time together in the pool. We would definitely consider this home for return trips to nags head.

Wonderful trip to OBX
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip. From the first question about our dog to check-in, communication with Mike was great. The location is a 5 minute walk to the pier and beach. We also enjoyed Dune Burgers at the end of the driveway. The kids and dog loved the back yard pool. I would highly recommend staying at this house.

Perfect location, amazing owners, easy trip
We loved being able to walk across the street to jump right into the ocean. Stores, food, gas, etc all within walking distance. We have 2 kids so the park out back was great! The pool wasn't open (off season) but we barely had time to notice. The home is nicely furnished and came with all the "necessities" that make it feel like home. Mike was extremely accommodating for us and open about the pool not being open before we even booked. My only negative point would be the home is "noisy". When someone is walking upstairs the entire master bedroom shakes below and it can be hard to sleep through people walking up and down the stairs. It wouldn't keep me from staying here again since the location and owner is so pleasant, but as a mom of a toddler it kind of killed our evenings when the baby was awoken even when tiptoeing above. This house is a must for anyone who wants to be right on the water and to just show up and not drive around while on vacation. Thanks Mike!

We love this house !! Owners have gone the extra mile to make it super nice ! Furniture was comfortable and had everything we could possibly ask for. Loved all the extras that came with the house - My 3 grandkids had a blast in the pool and playing corn-hole. Plenty chairs and lounges around the pool - Beach Buggy was AWESOME !! This vacation rental was the perfect choice for our family. The pool was great after a day at the beach. We love Jenette's Pier which was right across the street. Good fishing all around. Easy walk to the beach. The playground next door was perfect for the kids in the evening. Walk to the Dune Burger for an easy lunch. The house is so close and convenient to everything, yet still seems somewhat private due to the long driveway/fencing on the side. The owner has the home well stocked with extras that were helpful...beach chairs, cart, boogie boards, corn hole, you name it--it's there!! The owners definitely have the vacationers in mind. No problems at all during this stay. We love the OBX and OBX Life II is the way to go! We will definitely try to stay here again.

This house was awesome !! My son was married at Jennettes Pier across the street. So the location couldn't get any better. The owner Mike so helpful in answering all of my questions before we left. The house was all redone on the inside. Very colorful, my kids loved it. He even opened up the pool for us a week early. (THANK YOU) The only complaint about our vacation was that we didn't rent the house for 2 weeks instead of one.

We were able to renew our wedding vows on the beach across the street from this home! We loved the location and decor! The home is well-kept and the owners were so easy to work with! My husband and I recommend this home to anyone looking for a great place to stay so centralling located. You can see the shopping outlet from the top deck and the pier from the driveway. There is a playground next door and several restaurants within walking distance.

Our trip could not have been more perfect! We stayed in the house the last week of May 2013 and the weather was wonderful! The house is in a perfect location. You can walk to so many places. The pier is practically across the street and the beach is right there as well. The house is layed out great and it has hardwood floors through most of the living areas. There are great views off the back of the house and the pool was just wonderful! We did not bring a dog with us but it is set up perfectly if you bring yours. We loved everything about the house and hope to return next year! The owner was so easy to work with and always responded to my emails very quickly! We would highly recommend this house to anyone who wants to visit the Outer Banks!!

Great location , View all day long is wonderful. Get up in the morning to the sea and the sun in the front windows , relax at night watching the sun set on the sound and the kids play in the pool. And dont worry about relaxing to long or having to drive to dinner after a few cocktails by the pool, just walk down the street to a local favorite Sam & Omies. Easy walk to the beach and close enough to go back to the house for a pole if the fish start jumping.

We are thoroughly pleased with this home, location and Owner! We stayed for 2 weeks which included the first week with some family for our beach wedding and the second week, just us for our honeymoon. The home was not too big and not too small, just right. At first we thought that the 3 levels would seclude people, but the space and layout worked out perfectly.
The pool was a good size (watch out for the sharp drop off about 5 or 6 steps in!), plenty of chairs to lounge around on, nice porch swing on the back lower deck to enjoy beautiful Sound sunsets in the evenings.
The Owner is right that you could potentially park your car and not move it again until you are ready to leave. The location is great! We happen to love Sam & Omie's, so knew that it would be a good spot for us to begin with. The Pier is a wonderful addition and we walked to it a few times during our stay. The Beach Access is so close that you dont feel it is a chore to walk there from the house. Especially if using the beach buggy that is provided.
We only encountered one hiccup while there and that was when the dryer couldnt be turned on due to a stripped Start Knob. I emailed the Owner that evening and he had someone at the house the very next day to fix it. He was also very apologetic for the misshap. Never have we encounted Owners that are this quick to make sure that we were satisfied and comfortable. The Owners could be reached at any time, day or night for any reason, if needed. Luckily, we did not need to bother them because we had everything that we needed!
Our favorite places to eat are at Sam & Omies and Blue Moon. We tried the Blue Moon on the suggestion of the Owners and thought it was some of the best food on the island that we have ever had. We will certainly go back there each year for a meal or two!
We plan on booking this property each summer for our vacations for many years to come. Thank you to the Owners for allowing us to use your space. We enjoyed ourselves very much in your lovely home!
