This place was perfect for our stay! I appreciate the aesthetics of this cute home and attention to details. Everything we needed was available, from a thorough guidebook, to nightlights, soap, shampoo, bathmat, suitcase stands, and an adequately stocked kitchen. It was a great location, well kept, quiet, and clean. Would definitely stay again.

You can't beat the location in Bend. Close to downtown and The Old Mill and within walking distance of so many good restaurants and breweries. The property was spotless and had and was perfect for my spouse and fur kids. And after long days of hiking and kayaking we were able to sleep on the most comfortable mattresses ever. I Bend frequently and highly recommend this property. It's perfect.

The cottage is very comfortable and clean, is fully stocked if you want to stay in and cook, etc., and includes a nice, private fenced backyard with hot tub. Also pet friendly <3

We enjoyed our bungalow! The layout is cozy, everything worked and well stocked, great location. Our grand kids had fun sleeping in the loft one night and loved the hot tub! Our dog enjoyed the large back yard.

We came to celebrate both my birthday and my boyfriend's birthday and couldn't have had a better stay! Love this house and love that our dog was able to join us with a perfect backyard for him. The photos don't show how great of a space it is! WE will be booking this next year to celebrate again!

We would definitely stay here again! We wanted a place we could walk to restaurants, etc…….You are 5 minutes away from everything Bend! The home was super cozy, comfortable, clean and perfectly stocked! Communication with property manager was 5 star! Great experience!

Nice stay in Bend, place was as advertised and the communication was very fast. Notified before we got there the fridge died, so they gave us a college style mini fridge. That would have been perfect for most but we had just did 3 days of grocery shopping in PDX, but we figured it out. Lovely warm tub in the back yard made cycling recovery nice. Location was quite good, access to everything.
On the down side we asked for a bit later check out to get 1 last mtn bike ride in and were informed it was a $25/hour charge even with advanced request. A bit surprised by that response, rather strict given our flexibility on the fridge.

Great house in a great location
The house is very well equipped and appointed. The kitchen is well equipped and everything is very clean. The location is fantastic. Lots of restaurants are in walking distance. Highly recommended.

Mouse trouble
There are two positives for this property - location (cafes and restaurants just a few blocks away) and the yard is a fun place to hang out. Though the weather didn't let us enjoy the yard that much.
Unfortunately our stay at this property was tarnished by the presence of a mouse in the house for four out of the five days. Even though the property manager arranged for a trap to be the set day after we got there, we saw the mouse scurrying all around the kitchen until the day before we left. Not sure if this is common for properties in the area, but it was unsettling for us. The property has also some flaws that may be contributing - for example, there is a gap between the bottom of the dishwasher and the floor - a favorite spot for the mouse. Similarly there is a gap between the sink cabinet and the bathroom floor.
The kitchen is also not stocked great. There was just enough ground coffee to make one pot. So the assumption maybe that renters will be eating out for most of the stay. There are some basic condiments but not nearly as we have found in other places.
Overall we went in with great expectations but felt let down.

Wonderful West Side Retreat
This is our fourth time renting A Stones Throw Property and out second time in the Cinder Cone Cottage. The pet friendly accommodation truly makes it feel like a home away from home. We will return!

Location, Location, Location!
We had a great experience during our stay. The location allowed us to reach great food, multiple parks, and downtown Bend by walking. I loved the attention to detail the cottage provided. We were also very impressed with the level of communication that was provided. It was nice having someone check in with us to ensure that we were enjoying ourselves and that things were running smoothly. I would definitely come back.

Beds were soft and there were plenty of extra blankets since we like to let the house stay cool while we sleep. The thermostat was johnny on the spot with keeping the place warm and cozy when it was snowing outside! Oh and we had two cars, but there is plenty of parking so we didn't have to worry about it at all! Thank you for a lovely weekend. We would definitely stay here again! No complaints.

The thermostat was johnny on the spot with keeping the place warm and cozy when it was snowing outside! Oh and we had two cars, but there is plenty of parking so we didn't have to worry about it at all!
