It was perfect in every way.

Our family has stayed here for the past 2 years when traveling to Chattanooga for some down time. We stay for about a week each time and everything about this home is perfect! Our family of 4 (my wife and I have 2 older teen daughters + a small dog) is right at home. Love the vibe of the house and the location is absolutely perfect. But beyond this is the check-in, check-out process and communication with owners leading up to and during our stay. Far and away better than any other vacation rental we've ever had. We can't wait to stay here again next year!

We really enjoyed our stay and the house was very charming. In a great location to easily get to all the places we planned to visit and enjoyed an afternoon walk on bridge every day just minutes away. We will definitely be back again in the future. The stairs leading to the house certainly made for good exercise but overall not too bad for us. Highly recommend.

My husband and I were here to celebrate our 25th anniversary! This is such a clean, cute, comfortable home that was absolutely perfect! It was close and convenient to everything we did! We thoroughly enjoyed our trip! If back in this area, we would not mind staying here again!

Grace put a lot of thought into the details of this property. It was very clean, and on a lovely street. Enjoyed the large veranda in the evenings.

Place was nice. Old house with lots of character. Beds were comfortable. Nice neighborhood. There are several steps to reach the house. Not a problem for us but could be for someone else. There is no drive way so you haul all your stuff up these steps. The only issue we had was the bathroom. It is VERY tight. It has two sinks which is a plus but with two people in there it is very cramped. For a family of four ( 2 teenagers) it was a problem at times. If you are a young couple or young family, this house is just fine. For larger families or older people, probably not a good fit. We did enjoy our stay and would recommend for younger, smaller families.

Cute house with two bedrooms and only one bath. Nota bene: the steps leading up to this property are steep and not consistently shaped. If you have physical issues (we did not, but...) this would be a challenging property to access. Also, floors are uneven, as one might expect in an older home. The neighbors warned us, without prompting, that there is a "recovery home" up the street so we should not leave any valuables anywhere. Otherwise, everything was good.

An absolutely adorable home so close to all that Chatanooga offers! Plenty of space to spread out and dog friendly! Super clean and well decorated. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. It’s clear the host really wants you to enjoy your stay. Neighborhood was friendly and felt safe.
Rated 5 stars for sure but want to offer a heads up to future guests:
1. This is an older home and comes with all the older home smells. If you’re super sensitive like me, bring your allergy meds, I went through a whole box of tissue!
2. Those stairs are no joke. Seriously.

The house was just what we needed and in a perfect location for all the fun places in Chattanooga. Our grandchildren enjoyed the toys provided in the closet. Do note that it’s an uphill trek from your car to the front door. We would stay here again.

The description should note that there are a significant number of sidewalk climbing steps to the house. Also the bottom wooden plank of the veranda step was rotted and as I stepped down it broke and I narrowly avoided injury.

Our family of 4 stayed here for just under a week and absolutely loved it. The house is incredible, especially for a visit to Chattanooga. The decor inside is like a walk thru the history of the city. So fun. So well done. And…so clean inside and out. Our communication with the owner, checkin process and otherwise could not have been more perfect. Plus, the location was excellent. Overall one of our favorite vacations and this home is a major reason why! We will be back.

Nice beds, easy check-in. Host was responsive and helpful. the house is in good shape and was cleaned well when we got there. Location is easy to find. there are major steps to get up to the house which was fine for us, but could be an issue for anyone who has difficulty in walking. I would recommend this place to friends.

The listing was spot on. The house met our needs and the host was as very responsive. Kitchen was stocked well and there were plenty of towels and bedding. The steps going to to the house from the parking spaces are the only draw back if someone has issues with stairs/inclines. Bonus was the outdoor porch seating during a rainy day and using the grill.

This was a great place to stay in. Family of 3 (toddler friendly). Close to downtown but quiet neighborhood. Neighbors were friendly. Recommended, especially those competing in the Ironman events in late spring and early fall.

Cute little home that was clean and had towels for everyone. Only minor complaint is that there were no wash clothes. Home was less than a mile north of the river I believe, so one morning some of us had a nice walk/run down to the walking bridge. We had 8 adults and 2 dogs in the house and really the only difficulty was sharing 1 bathroom. Checkout time was great and they didn’t expect tons of cleaning before we left

Visited our son in Chattanooga. The location was perfect and convenient, the neighborhood was very safe and beautiful. Our host, Grace, was very helpful when the coffee maker did not work, replacing it immediately. Great older home with plenty of space. Really enjoyed it!

This property was so warm, inviting and comfortable for our stay in Chattanooga. My boyfriend and I stayed for 4 nights in November along with my two teenage daughters, 15 and 17. The location is fantastic... SO CLOSE TO EVERYTHING! The home was a great place to come to at the end of a busy day to relax and enjoy some family time. We really enjoyed ourselves and would stay again if we return to the area.

Property was clean and exactly as listed. Location is safe and convenient. The kitchen was well stocked. We cooked Thanksgiving dinner for our family who lives in the area and found all of the dishes and cookware we needed! Word of caution, the steps leading up to the house are on a steep hill. They were perfectly safe but my elderly mother struggled a bit going up and down. We had a wonderful stay and would return.

Everything was excellent about this property. I did not see listed that you had to climb so many stairs to get to the front door. My husband has a wrong foot, so it was a little tricky getting up-and-down so many stairs. Other than that, it was an adorable house in a great location.

Really enjoyed our stay at Grace’s property. We were in town for ChattaJack 31 which staged at Ross’ Landing so the location right off Market street couldn’t have been more convenient and super convenient to North Shore restaurants and grocery stores. Grace is a very gracious host and although the kitchen was very well stocked she made sure we had a large pot for our pre-race pasta dinner. Bedding was super comfy. Loved the history of the home and all of the photos throughout the house. Tons of character. Highly recommend staying here! Cheers. Jim

The property was very clean and the rooms were great. The bathroom had plenty towels for our family. The location was top notch and close to everything we wanted to see/visit. Grace the property owner was a texter which is a plus for me, she was very accommodating and wanted us there.

We had a great stay at Grace’s property for my IRONMAN Chattanooga race. Everything was included with the property as described in the listing. The main bedroom’s king bed was extremely comfortable, quite possibly the most comfortable bed and pillows I’ve ever experienced while traveling. My kids enjoyed having the different beds in bedroom 2 so they had some room to separate. We cooked in the well stocked kitchen, easily sat a family of 4 around the table for dinner, and used the included washer and dryer 2x. The sleeper sofa in the living room was extremely comfortable to lay on as a sofa and fall asleep. We really enjoyed the decor in all the rooms - gave it a very historical Chattanooga feel. As mentioned in other reviews all the steps getting up to the large front porch are definitely a doozy, so prepare for those. :-). The North Shore location was excellent. Very quick and easy to get downtown by car - which we did multiple times for getting to the IRONMAN staging, or when we went to the Aquarium, or to get to Publix or restaurants. Grace was excellent to work with during the booking process and very quick to respond to questions. I would most definitely recommend staying here if you are traveling to Chattanooga. If my wife or I ever race IRONMAN Chattanooga or the 70.3 race in the Spring we’ll definitely look to stay here again!!!

We loved this 1910-era home that has been refurbished so nicely. The bed was super comfy and the wifi was lightning fast. The location was great too. Fantastic!

Wonderful host and home!
Grace and Mike were lovely hosts who were great at communication. We had a few questions at the beginning of our stay and they were very prompt in answering and attending to our needs.
The home is clean and well-equipped. Having things for a baby like a pack & play and high chair were a wonderful bonus for our 16 month old. They also had a stroller, but we didn't use it. My boys (8 and 6) loved finding a big container of toys in the guest room closet!
The location was close enough you could walk to the aquarium area if you don't mind a little walk. From there you can get a free shuttle to many of the other tourist attractions! Free shuttles are also available closer to the house, but they aren't as frequent.
Overall, this house was a great choice for our family and we'd recommend it to others looking for a place to stay!
