I stayed at The Montana from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st May 2023. I was attending The royal British Legion Annual
Conference that was being held at The Riviera Centre. The location of The Montana was perfect. it was approximately 5 minutes walk to and from the Conference Centre. The security for the place was good, key that had to be retrieved from the key box, using a code number. The key was then use for opening the front door and my bedroom door. My room was clean and comfortable , the bathroom had everything that I needed and the walk in shower was excellent. The system for ordering breakfast on both mornings was very efficient. I dhose what I wanted from the list provided and it was freshly cooked as per my order. The food was very tasty and I have no complaints whatsoever. In summary I was completely happy with my choice of The Montana.William was excellent in his preparation of the breakfast and he was very helpful in advancing breakfast times due to the timings in the Conference daily programme.. Well Done- The Montana is on my radar for the future.

Nothing I didn’t like, but didn’t really have any contact with the owners. It would have been nice to be greeted. Personal touches.
Would have been nice to have had a label on the bottles in the bathroom so I knew what it was I was using and also to have some hand/body lotion too!
Never been to a property were I have had to choose six items for breakfast. The choice of other items for breakfast was minimal.
(Unfortunately I am comparing it to a hotel that I go to regularly in York.)
I am not sure if you have a tuck shop, but it would be nice to see a fridge with cans of pop, bottled water and sweets and chocolate to buy to take up to the room in the hall way. This is something they have in York and sell a small amount of items between 50p and £1 and you put the money into a small sealed box.
A lovely B & B. Would happily stay again.

Room was a decent size. Plenty of choice for breakfast and you order the night before. William was an excellent host. Managed to get a parking spot round the corner with no restrictions so that was a bonus.
Nothing comes to mind about anything we didn't like other than that it is a bit of an uphill walk back from town. Keeps you fit though.

Breakfast was good and plenty available. Location was excellent only a short walk to all amenities and great for sightseeing. Rooms were spacious and very clean William was a great host and full of local knowledge and great recommendations for places to eat and drink and things to do
Bed was slightly too soft for us and shower was slightly small. That is my only negative comment. Everything else was great.

The Montana is a lovely family run business. Good communication between Hannah and myself. You get good instructions on where to park (free and pay parking). The room is very clean and the bed was comfortable. The en-suite had a good sized shower. The b&b is only 5 mins from the seafront. The cooked breakfast was yummy, good selection of cereals and toast, juice & coffee/tea etc. Would definitely recommend The Montana to anyone that is thinking of going to Torquay.

A lovely little bed and breakfast. Very accommodating. The place is kept in immaculate condition.
Next time I'm in Torquay I'll definitely be using the Montana again

Beautifully renovated family run B&B with comfortable room and large ensuite. Lots of storage in the bathroom too, so although we only stayed overnight I can easily imagine settling in for a week. Great location with short walk to the seafront and town. Lovely freshly cooked breakfast and good quality coffee. Friendly helpful hosts with good communication throughout.

Really friendly owners, breakfast was lovely and the room was just what we needed. There were lots of small, thoughtful extras in the room such as a light sleeper kit.

The owners are absolutely lovely. The property is beautifully decorated and the rooms are really clean.

We had excellent breakfasts, cooked to order. The rooms were lovely given the age of the building the owners made best use of the space available. I was supplied with all the usual facilities I would expect plus a light sleeper kit. The ability to collect our room keys from a key safe made arrival easy. My mother has limited mobility and access, once up the step from the main footpath, was easy for her.
Parking is always an issue for smaller guest houses, however I was able to get a parking space in the road adjacent with no problem. This might not be the same in the peak season.

Hannah and William provide an amazing service, making you feel very welcome within their homely B&B. The environment was very clean and modern. Definitely value for money, and we will most certainly visit again…

Loved the room, spotlessly clean, modern decor and facilities. Bathroom was large, everything worked perfectly.
Breakfast was well organised, there was plenty of choice and what we had was well cooked. We enjoyed every part of it.
Hotel location was great for us with a 10 minute stroll down to the sea front.
Hannah and Will are great hosts, knowledgeable of the area and its attractions and were great to chat to.

The Montana is in a great location, just a short walk to the seafront. Self Check in was easy with great communication from Hannah and Will. Our room was very comfortable, nicely decorated and spotlessly clean, as was the rest of the property. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice.
Although there is no private parking for the Montana we found plenty of parking on the street just around the corner, less than a minutes walk away.
