Room ok, large tv, hairdryer and ironing facilities if needed and bed very comfortable. Bathroom was spotlessly clean. We arrived at hotel around 11 n parked car, we reported to the hotel reception and our room not ready which we expected. We were able to leave our bags.

Room dark and poor lighting. Sounds really picky but soap dispenser s in bathroom really annoying. Squirted everywhere apart from where you wanted it. Shower head was static to ceiling, not the best.

The lady on reception on arrival and departure needs looking up from the shift rota and given praise - she was great!

Car park was a tight squeeze and a mess - more the state of the works going on in the street than your hotels fault. The hotel decor / bedrooms now looking tired and dated but probs reflected in the price - but £18 per night to park the car - rip off! Yes close to hotel and city centre - but still rip off exploitation.

Paid on the day for a breakfast and must rate amongst the worst I have had in a hotel for the amount paid. Even though it was all you could eat the quality didn’t tempt me. The few staff in the dining room were under pressure just to clean a table prior to eating. Just one more person working would have made a difference. Wish now I had gone into town and paid the same at the Ivy Restaurant. Also a lot of confusion over parking facilities.

Really love the location , just next to the river which was beautiful and also close to centre. Hotel overall is really nice and very clean. Nice design and nice bar with affordable drinks

The windows are not properly sealed. For the time we were there outside was a horrible weather and you could hear the wind so strongly whistling that it was hard to fall asleep. Also, there were two times where the fire alarm started and had to go through the process and nothing was actually going on , just an error. Please work on it.

The room was clean and very nice. Bed was super comfy and the bathroom facilities were of a high standard.

The noise. Whether it was hearing the mechanics for the door opening very loud or the doors always slamming (I don't believe people were doing it on purpose), or even the noise from the car doors on the street, you could hear everything. So much so, I was up multiple times in the night and had one of the worst night's sleep I've had in a while. They definitely need to invest in soundproofing the windows to the outside and adding a cushion or something to the inside doors to prevent every one from being slammed. Unfortunately I wouldn't stay again even though the room looked lovely.

Lovely view of river , loved the lounge/bar area. Rooms were spotlessly clean with good selection of drinks and snacks

No room instructions for tv and heating controls. Information for extras like room service or dining times were not available in the room. As line to reception was long we self checked in so not as personal as it could be. I feel for the price a continental breakfast could be included.

A regular hotel where we stay in York. Rooms are clean and comfortable, location is excellent and breakfast was delicious. Coffee and tea is much better than last stay in May 23.

The buffet breakfast caters for all tastes, cooked breakfast, fruit, ham, muffins, croissants, tea, coffee, fruit juice, beetroot juice and water. Great location for York centre.

Location is fantastic upgrade to a superior room we go for the 8th floor the views are unreal!!!! Breakfast is excellent hot fresh loads of choice!!!

Honestly based on this visit absolutely nothing!! Louise on reception is amazing nothing too much trouble and so so personable lovely lovely lady!

Milk ran out in hot drinks machine. Tables could have been cleared quicker. Search for hotel was for 2 adults in a twin room with breakfast. Didn't know until after booking that I'd only booked for 1 breakfast. Had to pay an additional £13 for breakfast. Why would a search for 2 beds and 2 breakfasts give me an option for 1 person.

Hotel is ideally placed to experience all that York has to offer. Very comfortable too.

Parking is a lottery. We were told on arrival it's a first come basis and can't be pre-booked "but there would almost certainly be spaces" - there weren't. After waiting for ages we went back to reception to ask where else we were best to park. We were directed to an NCP car park nearby. However this being a Saturday the queue was horrendous and as we were on a junction we couldn't sit there for too long. So on we went - again to try the "lots of spaces" hotel car park - there weren't any, and eventually to a car park we had used before a 30 minute walk away. Not the best start but overall the hotel was good and our stay made up for this minor frustration.

Self check in when arrival with a staff member stood there doing nothing whilst we struggled with all the screens. Checking out have to wait for staff to pay for parking anyway.

Lovely, clean, well appointed room. Spacious, hot shower. Well thought out re power outlets, bedside reading lamps, comfy mattress, quiet. Great breakfast in room overlooking river.
