The staff were exceedingly helpful, when we arrived. The booking.com site had indicated we would have at least a microwave in our Queen room, however upon enquiring Mantra informed us that such was only available in a one-bedroom apartment. We were thoroughly thankful & delighted when the Mantra reception staff upgraded us to an apartment with no question as we were there for several days due to a hospital admission

Parking was easy

Went for breakfast at 8am to be told can't be seated for an hour as a large sporting group had the entire space. We booked a rate including breakfast. Very poor communication from the staff, if we were advised on checkin we would have arranged our plans differently. We were unable to wait, no apology offered by staff and no offer of reimbursement.

Fan didn’t work in the bathroom, parking was not mentioned as a chargeable amount nor was it explained to us that it was $18 for a 24 hour period so we ended up going over by 20 minutes and had to pay $24. The beds and pillows were uncomfortable.

The Mantra Collins location in central Hobart is excellent and the discount parking at the multi storey car park immediately behind the hotel is a good feature. The reception staff were exceptional in attending to our needs. The room was clean; with good quality towels and face washers and the bed very comfortable. The room was quiet and we slept well every night.

Our stay at Mantra was excellent. The location is great, closer to everything including shopping centre and food stores. We did not even need our car, we could walk to all the close-by attractions and food venues. We got a one bedroom apartment and a king room and the hotel upgraded us from the King room to the one bedroom apartment which was fantastic. The room was very clean, spacious, bed was very comfortable. They also included breakfast in the price. I had poked eggs, avocados and smoke salmon and a pot of tea for breakfast and it was FREE (all included in the room price already). Definitely will come back next time we are in Hobart. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Mantra.!

The hotel does not have complimentary parking - there is only street parking if you're lucky. The other option is to park at a 24 hrs parking facility close by, for around $18 per day.

We caught the bus from the airport and got off at the first city stop, walked to the hotel. The location was fabulous - close to the city and the harbour. The breakfast included in the tariff was amazing. Great coffee! We had a view from level 10 of the harbour which was lovely.
