it was in a great location. The host was fantastic. He went the extra mile by providing cakes baked by his mom. Breakfast was fantastic.., with fresh juice and yoghurt. The view from the house was stunning.

Brilliant. I've stayed at a few places in Hobart and this was by far my favourite. The hotel is stunning, the owners are really friendly and welcoming, and the location is perfect, close to great restaurants and easy access to Hobart attractions. The rooms are spacious and there is a lovely view of river.

The Grand Vue Hotel was all that could be hoped for. My wife and I loved the prospect of what the website suggested and in reality the hotel deilvered so much more. Ashley, Brock and the team have delivered a beautiful private hotel experience in equally beautiful Battery Point. The classic home has been transformed into a wonderful hotel that is immaculately presented and a delight to experience. Our suite boasted wonderful views across the Derwent to Sandy Bay Yacht Club and Wrest Point Casino, spotlessly clean ensuite, kitchenette and period furniture. Blissfully quiet, the in house guests were only apparent when crossing paths at breakfast, for which cereals, toast, an array of condiments and tea and coffee (espresso machine) are provided. A nice homely touch provided by Brock's mother's home baking. If you like a little luxury, enjoy walking around looking at period homes and beautiful gardens, short walk to Salamanca and with a local pub just around the corner this is for you.

Absolutely stunning boutique! I look forward to our next stay. The house is large with beautiful interior. We felt like we stepped back in time. The breakfast was delicious and the view was amazing! It’s a close walk to the wharf and lovely restaurants and bars. The owner was very lovely and helpful.

The Perfect packages, location, beauty, history and comfort. This was our second stay and we’ll be back again.

This property exceeded our expectations. Fabulous private hotel, beautifully and elegantly decorated. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed, superb amenities in room and in property. Beautiful quiet location with water views. Fantastic dining room and kitchen. Freshly baked gourmet cakes available every day were a lovely surprise also Lindt chocolates in bowl. The owners were very friendly and welcoming, they clearly care very much about providing excellent customer service. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend this hotel.

Very nice place to stay. We had the room with views of River Derwent. The room was very well appointed and quite spacious

The parking is on the street. We did not have any issues as it was weekend; however, parking signs read there might be charge between 1000 and 1800. The hotel did mention that we could have parking vouchers if needed.

Adequate breakfast with some tasty extras. Decor and style throughout was superb.

Airconditioning needs an upgrade as temperatures rise. The evap system was noisy and humid, but an excellent fan helped… most days this would not be a problem.

it’s a beautiful property both interior and exterior. The room and the rest of the house is immaculately clean and beautifully furnished. Kudos to the hosts who have evidently put in great thought to make guests feel at home. Love the idea of a shared kitchen with breakfast and teatime food and drinks provided for guests to help themselves anytime. Hosts were also responsive to help settle any issues that arose.

just a minor issue: we had to park along the street and since the property is rather near Salamanca area, when we arrived, the whole street was ‘occupied’ on a Friday evening. Fortunately we were allowed to park in the one available slot in the property driveway. Thankfully thereafter for the rest of our stay finding a space to park wasn’t an issue.
