Great location::We were walking the cumbria way, and if one wants to stay in this area, there are not many other possibilities. Would stay again just because of the very convenient location making planning a multiday walk a lot easier. Cosy hangout area around bar. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Very noisy in eating area due to bad acoustics. Kitchen not very clean. Too many kids being annoying. Tables in eating area not even clean before breakfast. The room was way too hot during the night. Beds were not comfortable - even for bunkbeds they were below standard. Not great value since we only paid maginally less for staying two persons i a private room than we pay for staying in nice b&b's with good breakfast included.

We like the Comfort and facilites. The location was perfect and beautiful. Facilities were great.

We didn't like the continental breakfast for that price. It was expected to be a bit more than what was offered.

Location was perfect for exploring! The hostel bar area was cosy and the staff were friendly.

My only comment would be that with the showers being communal it did mean that they weren’t the cleanest.

The location was close to the activity we had planned the breakfast was spot on and the room was everything we needed for a good nights sleep. I'm in my late sixty's so I had a preconception of what to expect but it was nothing like it everything far exceeded what I thought. I would quiet happily recommend using the YHA.
