Absolutely brilliant, great welcoming hosts great room loved it , and a lovely dog we wanted to adopt .

Breakfasts are served in the room at a time of your choice. Delicious and the choices were excellent. The location was great for the amenities at the resort. The room was very pleasant.

Everything was great. Nothing to dislike.

That we couldn’t stay longer.

First impression was amazing, good that it has a car park too. The room was lovely and had lots of little extra’s that we didn’t expect. The breakfast was so good and we loved that it gets served to your room so you can relax and enjoy it.

Lovely place,lovely people room was spacious clean and well appointed ,a lot of time and effort goes into providing such lovely surroundings including the breakfast . Thank you so much David and Jenny especially for the birthday card!!

The hosts went above and beyond.....lovely welcome and personal instructions for the room and advice for the area. Everything immaculate. Superb breakfast served in my room. Beautiful garden . A welcome from George and Neville too.

Everything - it was a beautiful gem of a place. it was spotlessly clean and the attention to detail was spot on. The breakfast was lovely and there was a huge selection to chose from. Eating in our room was a lovely start to each day. We loved our stay and will definitely be going back again.

everything it’s a very cute place. every clean best comfortable bed and pillows. breakfast was fab. very quite and the location could not be any better

for us and it’s personal maybe blackout curtains now it’s lighter but that’s it the whole experience was perfect

Staff extremely helpful and welcoming, found the room quite quirky and very comfortable.

I love the location of the property, the style of room, I loved the selection of teas coffees hot chocolates and nibbles, everything about the property really

Quaint room and fabulous breakfast

David greeted us and took our bags up to the room .He explained about the keys and the breakfast ordering system!The room was Beatrix Potter themed as you'd expect and very comfy and clean.It's only a short walk into Bowness. There's everything you need in the room and great attention to detail . After reading through the 6 pages of the breakfast menu with its very specific instructions we were delighted with it when it was delivered to our room!

Breakfast was excellent. The room was very comfortable and the whole experience was perfect. David was extremely helpful and thoughtful.

the moment I arrived I was made to feel very welcome by the hosts Jenny and David (and their little pooch George) the property itself is immaculately clean and you can tell the hosts take pride in what they do. I was travelling solo so had the single room but it was more than perfect for what I needed. the room had everything you could ever need for a short stay and the touches were very welcome such as homemade cake and biscuits, water, tea and coffee. my room had a separate bathroom for my sole use and the shower was perfect after a few hours hiking. Although a single bed it was perhaps the comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in (even comfier than some of the top-notch hotels I’ve stayed at!). the cream on top of an already perfect cake was the breakfast that was served the next day. there was loads of choice for breakfast and when it arrived at the room it was phenomenal. beautifully presented and tasted delicious. proper home cooked comfort food to set you up for the day ahead. David and Jenny were the perfect hosts and nothing was too much bother for them. I arrived early just to drop my bag off and the room was already for me hours in advance. and they were happy for me to leave my stuff to go exploring the next day. I would highly recommend Puddle Duck Lodge and will definitely be booking again next time I visit The Lakes. The place is perfect. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Not one thing to dislike

What a find, was a pleasure staying at the Puddle Duck Lodge and to meet the hosts David & Jenny who really made us feel welcome. The room was very comfortable and we enjoyed being able to have a lovely breakfast delivered to our room. Easy working distance into Bowness, perfect location.

Couldn’t honestly say we had any dislikes…apart from picky me & didn’t like the veggie sausages but I honestly didn’t leave hungry…halloumi option next time 😃
