Very beautiful building, with beautiful furnishing to boot. Marta is a wonderful host as well. if you're ever looking for a place to stay in greater Sulmona, make sure to stay here. PS: The view from the roof terrace is gorgeous. definitely the best in all of Sulmona.

Our host met us the edge of Sulmona and led us to the B&B, a first for us and extremely nice on her part. The breakfast was wonderful.

We would have enjoyed coffee in our room, but our host explained that she has had trouble with guests in the past causing damage to wood furniture.

This historic property brims with character, luxurious and tasteful decor, and jaw-dropping views of the town and mountains. The location couldn’t be better … you can walk anywhere within 20 minutes or so. Marta, your host, and her staff will take extremely good care of you.

It was a truly beautiful property! Very authentic, yet updated with all amenities! Marta, the host and owner, was absolutely amazing! She made us the most delicious breakfast, with fresh pastries, fresh fruit, local meats and cheeses and scrambled eggs and cappuccinos! She went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful! She even placed a call for us to the city hall in a local town to help us with our genealogical search! Our only wish is that we could have stayed longer! We truly plan to return to the beautiful city of Sulmona and we look forward to staying at Marta’s wonderful B & B again! Thank you so much, Marta!

The location is very central and in the old town. Its accessible to some excellent restaurants esp. Cantina Biffi which was superb! The breakfast on the terrace with 360 views across Sulmona and the mountains was idyllic. The choices for breakfast were very broad - fruit, muesli, yogurt, ham and cheese, breads, homemade cakes (my favorite), fresh orange juice and eggs etc for those who could manage. Even decaf coffee! Marta is a great host - energetic, informative and efficient.

There is nothing which could have been done better. Marta has thought of everything. Perhaps an electric jug in the room would have allowed us to make tea but it was essential.

The space is beautiful, the location is perfect and breakfast on the rooftop terrace was delicious! Marta who runs the in is so kind and helpful. Don’t hesitate to book here.

Absolutely everything! The ancient building was just marvellous, the rooms were charming and showed a huge care for details. Even more, They where spotless. And the big roof terrace, overseing the city and giving the best view of the suorrounding mountains, just stunning! The host is a champion in professionality and real italian warmth. Me and my family felt at home❤️!

Marta was trying her best to make our stay comfortable - and she succeeded. She helped with parking arrangement, with dinner reservations and everything else that could be a challenge for us. location was super; breakfast was ver good; and the view from the roof terrace was breathtaking

We had an absolutely marvellous stay at Marchese del Grillo. Marta is a generous and knowledgeable host and was so helpful in guiding us to discover beautiful Sulmona and the region. The room we stayed in was newly renovated with vaulted ceiling and every touch elegant andvbeautifully designed. Beds were extraordinarily comfortable and breakfast each morning offered many options of fresh locally baked goods, fruits, cheeses etc. Sulmona is such an excellent location to discover the region which has ancient villages studded in mountains, hiking and wineries and excellent Abruzzese cuisine.

The location and the property itself was so lovely. Very close to town. The innkeeper, Marta, was very gracious and the breakfast she prepared was a culinary feast. 4-Stars, in my opinion.

Our stay at Il Marquese del Grillo was wonderful! Marta was very welcoming, and helpful. we needed to have COVID tests done before returning to the U. S., and she arranged for a doctor to come to the B&B to administer them. She also printed out some paperwork we needed. Breakfast was delicious, and served on her beautiful rooftop garden. Marta’s helper, Michelins was wonderful. We had such fun when she gave us a ride through town on the bus she drives!

Our only complaint was that the lighting in our room could have been better. We will definitely return if we go back to Sulmona.

Location was perfect, right in the center and the owner is a very friendly and nice lady. The terrace has amazing view at the whole Sulmona and the surrounding mountains. The whole house is very clean and nicely furnished. We definitely recommend it to all the travelers coming to Sulmona.

Unfortunately, due to the government restrictions, we could' t try the breakfast on the terrace.

Beautiful property, we had three rooms and all of them were nicely done. Comfortable bed and linens, nice shower, gorgeous views of Sulmona from the terrace, a lavish breakfast and a super gracious host. Grazie Marta !

We loved this place- from the lovely courtyard behind the large front doors, to our stunning room ( we had the ground floor) beautiful shower and most comfortable bed. The amazing roof top terrace where we had our very good breakfast. Marta the owner was lovely and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place and return the next time we are in Sulmona. The location was great and we parked for free a few minutes walk away. We stay in a lot of different hotels, but this one really surprised us in a good way!
