Staff were attentive, helpful and friendly. Our room was very clean and really comfortable. Right in the sea from and a short walk to the centre shopping mall and cinema etc. Lots of little extras are provided, like a breakfast bag, lounge with pool table, fridge with wine and beer, snacks that you can help yourself to and 24 staff at reception. We will DEFINITELY be returning to West Rocks.

Bed was a little on the small side for 2 people but still adequate.

The hotel doesn’t serve breakfast at the moment but they can provide a really excellent bag with croissants, yoghurt, butter jam etc. at the reception. I liked the room decor which retained some original features with modern lighting. Loved the fish wallpaper on the feature wall. Also, they give you a handy map of nearby restaurants (with discount vouchers).

Tiny minor things like the full length mirror opposite the toilet. Could have been placed on a different wall to save me a horrible view of myself! Also an extra towel rail in the bathroom as the towel radiator not big enough for all the towels.

some parts of the hotel are very dated and need some TLC and maintenance. for example our window wouldn’t open properly and would have to be propped up with a book. the layout of the room was really weird and awkward and the furniture was completely mismatched. we thought it was weird that the wallpaper had river fish when we were by the seaside but that was the nicest feature of the room. the side sea view was a con and we had a guest from a neighbouring hotel spying into our window with binoculars therefore making our stay rather uncomfortable.

Such a warm welcome, great atmosphere. Bar was great. The extras, sweets , Maltesers and the breakfast were great touches. The view of the Beach was amazing.

The hotel is old which adds to it charms. Rooms were clean but the walls & bathroom door on our room did need a fresh coat of paint.

The location was perfect and the room was clean. The breakfast bag was a nice surprise.

The room was very hot and we couldn’t open the window to let in some fresh air. There was a fan in the room to be fair but it was still very warm and stuffy.

Staff were friendly and went the extra mile. We went for a jog on the beach and when we came back they'd left breakfast for us in the room - the booking didn't include breakfast!

Loved the location and view of the seafront, beds were very comfortable staff were lovely and very helpful with everything and for information about where everything is in surrounding area. The bar was a lovely area too we were all very happy and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at West Rocks hotel and will certainly return for another adventure thanks West rocks 🥰 .

The bathroom was lovely but could of done with shelf to put things on.

I wouldn't change anything

We had a double room with a brilliant sea view. That was what made it for us. Friendly staff and excellent location. A nice complementary breakfast bag was provided each day which was a lovely touch.

I’m not sure why, but it was very hot in our room which was strange as it wasn’t especially hot outside. This made it quite uncomfortable at night when we couldn’t have the window open. The double bed was small.

Room was excellent overlooking the sea, nice large room with sofa, TV and WiFi in room. Complimentary breakfast bags daily was a nice addition to our stay aswell as complimentary chocolate bars and chocolate gift in room on arrival and staff were pleasant. Teddy bear is a nice addition to the hotel being moved around everyday. Topped up teas, sugar etc when needed and rubbish cleared daily and fresh towels given every couple days, also shower pressure was great. The snack vending machines is handy to have, funky cool furniture near the bar and artwork in different areas. Location is excellent, everything we needed in walking distance locally. Lifeboat museum bus stop being nearby a couple minutes away for the eastbourne sightseeing bus is handy.

Great location, friendly staff, clean and comfortable room. We were upgraded from side view to sea view. The breakfast bag was a nice added extra, suited us as with kettle in the room that was all we needed. Only suggestion id to give out in the evening before, to not have ti get dressed to collect in the morning! Easy parking, good value tickers £2 a day via hotel.

Some of the decor a little tired in main areas, but not a major concern. Shower took a little time to warm up but okay.

The reception staff were very helpful. We had a slight problem with our door key which was quickly resolved. The Little chocolate gift left for us in our room was a really nice touch. The "Breakfast Gift Bag" was also quite nice. And the "Resturant Passport" giving us 10% discount although we didn't use it, It was nice to know there are resturants willing to give us the discount. Finally the room. The size was more than adequate with the on suite bathroom and show with sliding doors. It was good to see the room haf been given a new lick of pain and wall paper was quite funky.

The room windows should really be cleaned more frequently but it is understandable when you have a seafront view from your windows and there is alot of seagul activity. On a small note that there might like to consider having a small soap holder in the shower.

West rocks provides affordable accommodation in a great location, rooms were spacious and clean and staff were very helpful and accommodating- and even allowed us to store bikes in the basement Also a special shout out to Dolma Kitchen who offer fabulous Nepalese food. We called to book a table at very short notice. The owner is incredibly friendly and the food was delicious. West Rock please can you add them to your recommended restaurants List. Very enjoyable

The cleanliness of the bathroom

The location was spot on. The room offered a sea view & bonus points for a moon & early morning sun.

The ‘double bed’ - 4 foot - was too small. Staff recommended 2 single beds together for next time.
