An enjoyable experience overall. The staff did amazing hospitality in the beautiful setting. The decor was elegant. The hotel has maintained its Victorian era charm. Nicely served breakfast, freshly cooked to order with everything available that appears on the menu.

Location and parking

Very tired rooms with very noisy radiators no conditioner in the bathroom !

Het personeel is super aardig en behulpzaam. Het ontbijt was voortreffelijk. Het gebouw is indrukwekkend.

Er is hier en daar wat achterstallig onderhoud.

The location is great. Nice swimming pool outside and excellent spa facilities. Cocktail Lounge and staff serving efficient and knowledgeable. Check in good.

The food let the experience down. The dinner was expensive for the portions served and service was slow. Not value for money. The room was not the one shown on booking.com photo and the shower dripped. The room was small and pokey and very little view. There was no TV remote.

Beautiful elegant building and style of elegance throughout. Lovely hotel restaurant, pleasant staff and service.

The hotel appears in my filter for free parking, but both times I have stayed there, there is no parking available (unless I reserve at £25) and I’ve had to park on the street. The parking app was not available, so I asked reception for change for the meter, and they told me they are a ‘cashless’ hotel. Not much use when I’m about to get a parking fine!

It was like an old fashioned top class Hotel but in a good way They couldn't do enough for you my late Mum and Dad would have loved the place.

No handle beside the bath took me 20 minutes to get out of the bath, a bit bruised and batted when I got out.

It's a lovely hotel right on the front of Eastbourne very near the wish tower, very British, both indoor and outdoor pools, ( outdoor heated), restaurant is excellent and a great choice for breakfast, room maid was very thorough with the cleaning and replacing of towels etc..

Service was a bit lacking at times, not the same quality as previously received, some parts of the hotel need updating and maintaining, prices are a little steep for drinks etc, would have expected a little more from a 5 star hotel

Great facilities, ideal location. Beautiful outdoor poor and hotel.

Staff at breakfast not attentive at all. Waited more than 30 mins for coffee on first day. Holiday inn do a better job. Constant battle to get parking out front, for some reason some guests are more privileged and get allocated parking. I even heard a doorman say a resident across the way has a parking spot.
