The property was close to the ski school and chair lifts. Ride share takes you from the car park to the property directly .

We booked the room on booking.com only to discover that we were assigned a different room. The property manager, the owner, told us that we had to read the fine print on their website, which stated that it was just an illustration and had a different layout. I argued that I picked a room per booking.com, but no such terms existed. They updated their photos and terms after my complaint. For 1,000 a night, it’s irresponsible for the owner to randomly give you a room with no view, not as booking.com showed. I was even told to find an alternative stay when the owner knew the entire place was sold out during the holiday week. So please decide wisely if you want to stay here. The owner's son came and spoke to us after a commotion I had with the reception and promised to get back to me, but he never did after taking my phone number. The owners prioritise their income vs giving true customer service. Not once did they come to check in to solve the problem. They tried to pay for my dinner, which I politely declined, but the owner claimed I flat-out said no. She was never present. See photos below. No such mention I won’t be getting the room I booked on booking.com vs the actual room that looks into a brick wall. Room also had leaks which a plumber came to check .

Very central to the slopes. Beautiful and cozy. The guest lounge was very welcoming (books, couches, boardgames). The bar had a great selection of cocktails and beers. Staff very welcoming. Clean, cozy rooms.

Before you stay here, book a taxi or rideshare via the Mt Buller app. It looks close to the main square on the map, but it's not. It's up a steep hill with several flights of stairs and we were not aware of this. We were told that the rideshare service or walking were the only two feasible options to get to the hotel. Anybody who has been to the snow knows that carrying/wheeling suitcases through snow is... difficult at best, so you can completely disregard the second recommendation by hotel staff. Would have been good to get some clearer recommendations and instructions PRIOR to arriving at the square, but we're partly to blame for that too. Secondly, the bread that they offer at dinner is not complementary - the way this was presented made it seem like it was free. Note that despite its cost, it was absolutely delicious and if you are interested in bread, it was divine (just $14). These were our only two criticisms. The accommodation is beautiful, the staff were otherwise exceptionally friendly. Anton Grimus served us coffee and he and his dog are both wonderful. We would definitely stay here again and recommend others also stay here.

Options/variety for breakfast were great. Being able to book discounted lift tickets at reception was really handy. Loved the private access to the spa/sauna. The restaurant food was great. The location was fantastic for access to lifts and the hotel ski storage and drying room made things a lot easier

The room was extremely warm when we checked in, even for winter, and it took a couple of days to cool down, but I think the room we stayed in was directly over the drying room so this probably had a lot to do with it.

Rooms were clean. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Great location. Food was delicious!!
