Sehr gemütliche Unterkunft, schön warm, ruhige Lage mitten im Lavafeld, tolles reichhaltiges Frühstück war schon bei unserer Ankunft im Kühlschrank und für den nächsten Tag wurde wieder aufgefüllt. Es gab 3 Brotsorten, Käse, Schinken, Salami, Wurst, 2 Marmeladen, Butter, Milch, Filterkaffee, Tee, Cerealien, Orangensaft, Apfelsaft, Tomaten, Gurke, Obst, Skyr. Echt toll. Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Für den Hot Tub waren wir leider immer zu müde von unseren Tagesausflügen. Hat aber auch sehr einladend ausgesehen :)

Das Schlafsofa war leider etwas unbequem und die Abdunkelung war im Wohnzimmer nicht so gut möglich, es war trotz Plissee sehr hell in der Nacht. Für uns trotzdem ein schöner Aufenthalt :)

Private hot tub Living area had good seating and a TV Shower had shelves for toiletries (This was the only place we stayed on the Ring Road that had a private hot tub and just a couple have had shower shelves and/or a TV)

It would have been nice to have a freezer section in the fridge to keep our bag of ice for our cooler frozen.

Beautiful and well-designed wooden cabin with a hot tub. Everything was clean and a lot of thought had been put into the cabin design. It was really helpful to have washing up liquid, tea towel, oil and salt and pepper in the kitchenette.

This cabin would be perfect for 2 people for a few nights. It was fine for 4 people for 1 night but we would have struggled for longer due to the small space and paper blinds which let the light in in the lounge with the sofa bed.

We stayed at cabin number 2 (there are a total of three cabins as of this writing on the property), which is a beautiful cabin built by the owners themselves. It was clean, airy (despite its small footprint), tastefully decorated and well furnished. All cabins are equipped with a jacuzzi. We did not have the chance to enjoy ours, but according to the guest book in our cabin, it is a big hit with other guests. All amenities functioned as expected (e.g., wifi, kitchen appliances, etc.). We understand that during the right season, this property would be a good spot to view aurora borealis, but we were there during summer. Owners are a couple with several children and live on the property. We did not need to have have any lengthy interactions with them. Everything was organized for guests to get to their cabin smoothly without having to interact with the owners, which was perfectly fine for us. Recognizing the relatively remoteness of the property, the owners do offer some basic conveniences and basic grocery options for purchase. Indeed, guests wishing to make pasta or their own basic meals can purchase the necessary ingredients from the owners (there is a menu of sort available listing what could be purchased). We did not partake in this offering. Definitely consider bringing your own groceries if you want to cook so you'll have more options, because the kitchen is well equipped and the dining table in our unit was large. Breakfast is offered but as expected must be requested in advance. It seemed pricy to us but based on the description and photos available in the cabin it is substantial. We opted to skip the breakfast... so we cannot comment on how tasty/filling it would have been!

The property is fairly remote and located to the south of Eldhraun Lava fields. We could only locate one restaurant in the general vicinity (30 min drive). While the cabin was great, we were hoping for more pleasing/unique sceneries. The scenery, at least from the cabin we stayed at, and I suspect all the other ones, is that of a flat farmland/grazing ground/owner's house. It would be a good place to catch the northern lights due to the flatness of the terrain. As a side note, for reasons not totally clear to me, we encountered the highest concentration of flies in this area of Iceland.

Very well equipped home, kitchen has all the little extras, great location and friendly attentive hosts.
