We arrived later then expected but keys could be taken out of a safe. Super!

Lovely family who were very welcoming. The villa was nice and clean and had everything we needed for our stay.

Transportation can be a bit difficult, aprox 15 min on foot to the center, there are stairs although there is no pavement and the roads are quite narrow with many cars. But it wasn't a big problem, stairs are really fine :)

The view was amazing and the apartment was beautiful, the host was very helpful

I wish we researched a bit more about how far the apartment was, we definitely would’ve rented a car if we knew as the walk up is a bit far, about 30/40 min walk from the ferry port

3 of us stayed at this villa for 2 nights in June. We really enjoyed our stay. Summary below! Good: - Incredible mind blowing views! - Lovely balcony to sit and enjoy the views - Pool and loungers (shared) - Nicole was super helpful, responsive and easy to contact - Clean, modern and fresh - Good facilities and had everything we needed - villa had fridge freezer, microwave, oven, cooker, cutlery, crockery, spices/oils, coffee and tea, pots and pans, shampoo, body wash, towels, cleaning supplies, kettle, iron etc - Nice and spacious - Comfortable beds

Things to bear in mind: - Location! This villa is high in the mountains and is around a 10 minute drive and 20 minute very uphill difficult walk from Menaggio central/town. There are only 3-5 taxis in the whole of Menaggio and during busy times, it takes a long time calling each one of them and even then some sometimes you can’t get through. There is a bus so coming down from the villa in the morning (on weekdays and Saturdays) is ok but in the evening, going back up is tricky because the bus would stop at around 7pm. We would recommend this apartment if you have a car. - No AC - there is one fan available. We would be in the villa in the evenings when it had cooled down so this wasn’t much of an issue for us but I imagine it could be on hotter days. - There are stairs/steps to get into/out of the villa so difficult for those with accessibility needs - if you’d like less steps, ask Nicole to allow you to access the villa from the top rather than the bottom - No sofa for the whole group in the apartment - there are dining table chairs and a small settee/sofa which is not very comfortable and would only fit around 2 people - In one of the bedrooms, there are very thin curtains in the bedroom so you get a lot of light through in the mornings and it’s a little noisy which makes it difficult to sleep (the other bedroom is perfectly fine) Overall we really enjoyed our stay, the views were worth it! However we did struggle a bit with the location and getting back up to the villa in the evenings as it took a long time to find a taxi. Next time we’d look at hiring a car to make this easier. the view is perfect

there is a kitchen in the apartment, but there is no lighter, we have to buy it ourself. the heating system doesn’t work well, we asked the owner, she said the temperature was settled to 20 degree fixed. but it’s actually not 20 degrees. the floor heating in the night doesn’t work definitely. and the Wi-Fi is also not working. on the first day, it works, but the second day, it called, we asked the owner, she doesn’t answered us. in the mountain area the signal of Mobil is not always working, and even the Wi-Fi was shuttled down.
