Comfortable bed! hot water & very clean

Broken fridge door & other fittings, poor supply of cutlery (no teaspoons) no washing up clothes etc! or toaster. Overall just felt unpleasantly mean in the organisation & supplies for the room

Had a fabulous view.

The toilet seat was old and peeling, but clean. We told management about it and they were going to change it after we left.

Fantastic location on the edge of Crater Lake. Great views over the city. Comfortable room.

The place is getting a little tired & could do with a bit of updating (especially in the bathrooms). All perfectly serviceable, just not very modern.

Room was fairly large. Lots of space. Beds were comfortable. Had a microwave.

The room had an extra desk but no dining table, which made meals slightly awkward. Also all surfaces were covered in a layer of dust and grit, which had to be wiped before use. No toaster. Inefficient use of space.

Central position a bonus, quiet locale. Clean room with large bed and TV. A great spot near the lakes for the walking enthusiasts, very convenient.

Negatives - The toilet paper holder in the toilet - for an executive room this item was useless; also the tissue holder in the bathroom. Personally I do not like the automated soap dispensers, again for an executive higher priced room you would expect better and more personal items. And a pity the restaurant wasnt open during such a busy tourist time.

The Lakes Resort is a well maintained older motel that I have returned to each time I have been in Mount Gambier. Rooms are clean and well presented and the location is quiet at night. We will be happy to return to "The Lakes" when we next visit Mount Gambier.
